Hello, great video and very helpful! I have a question. I'm trying to assign a material to an object imported from Rhino. In Rhino, the object is on its own layer and already has a material assigned. However, when I import the model into D5, it comes in as a single object. When I apply a material, like marble, it gets applied to the entire building. How can I fix this?
Stop wasting time with Sketchup. Get Chief Architect! You import to sketchup, save in native skp file, import to D5. Done. You can even assign emiting lighting material to your lights imported from Chief! Very much a better work flow with a full set of assets and tools right on hand. Priceless!
Hi! Omg I've been trying to look EVERYWHERE on how to go from CA to D5... I'm still learning CA too - can you please tell me more detailed how/what to export from CA and then when you say to import to sketchup do you mean the free version of sketchup?

Also do you need to use the paid versions of Sketchup in order to import and save the skp file?
Nevermind! I figured it out :)
