As one who only reached that state about 6 months ago, I can tell you it’s a massive relief. And it didn’t come from any external life changes. Purely getting it together internally
My husband is like that as well, whereas I’m the polar opposite. He just…wakes up in an okay mood every day. It’s so weird and I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. Meanwhile some days I’ll wake up and be like “well, I’m sad today because that’s how I woke up. Ok.”
Dan being a creepy nurturing person, I just imagined Dan in a slasher flick from the 80s. :D
Like a teenage girl in skimpy clothes is running through the forest, screaming her head off and waving her arms. Dan is walking right behind her in a grey jumpsuit, with a stone look on his face and a machete in his hand. Suddenly she trips and falls, Dan bends over her, the music swells and Dan...!! Gives her a wool sweater, "it's cold outside", asks her if she is all right? and helps her find her way back home where he has prepared more warm blankets and hot coco.
As a fan of self deprecating humour, this episode has multiple laugh out loud moments

A few years ago my mother's car was stolen in Milan, it was found across the border in Switzerland, but all the stores of chewing gums (two or three packs) had disappeared! Clearly the whole theft was for the chewing gums!
Idk why but hearing Brandon curse broke me. I'm used to people swearing, but for some reason Brandon's "clean" personality juxtaposed with him randomly saying "dick jokes", made me laugh uncontrollably

Dang I'm a senior in high school and I couldn't relate more to Brandon's "40-year-old from birth" thing. I never really fit in with a lot of kids except other "mature" kids or kids who understand and interface with such personalities. I guess I consider it emotional maturity and an inordinate amount of contentedness and near-stoicism. In other areas such as humor, creativity, and child-like awe for things, definitely not always mature.
This episoede had me rolling. I lost it when Brandon got a poney!

Not so Fast Not so Furious... and have vin in a wheel chair with a steering wheel and shifter REALLY into it, like he is in a race.... but the wheel and shifter are just toys for kids.

Based on prior comments Brandon had made, he is a fan of Dave Bautista's acting. Dan and Brandon should devote an entire episode of Intentionally Blank to review all of Dave Bautista's movies. I want to see what they think of Hotel Artemis. I think that is a very underated movie.

Would love to see you guys take the Myers Briggs personality test. When I took it, the description was scary accurate and TV tropes has a list of fictional characters prescribed to each personality type.
"Creepy, nurturing person" is what I would describe Mama that was produced by Guillermo del Toro.

An IQ at over 140 is considered genius or almost genius. 120-140 is very superiorly intelligent. According to an IQ test, Sanderson is considered a genius, or very nearly so--after that much time, I would assume that the "140" he gave is only the first two digits, because after a long time people usually forget the last one. Based on those results, I would honestly raise my estimation of the IQ test--and they're improving every day. Also, people forget that "genius" can apply to a lot of different areas. THe one discussed here is one specific type, and just because he doesn't identify with that type doesn't mean that he isn't a genius--a physicist, an artist, a sports nerd, and a philosopher can all the same IQ, that IQ can be over 140, and they can still be vastly different people in vastly different circles.
