I admire T's honesty as it's refreshing when many channels "fake like" songs. WIth that said, Tasha is correct on this one.
I absolutely love this song, and I understand why some people don’t, they don’t like love songs , I guess that’s the reason love songs like this are not made anymore. But back then , hard rockers, funkaters and even rappers made love songs, it was the way of the 70’s and 80’s. I often say , it’s too late to say you don’t like a song that was once a big hit, it’s still considered a classic!
He likes it... Just trying to be a "tough" guy 😂
Guy was doing a Chicago - try not to laugh challenge.
😂
This album came out right before my Senior Prom, in 1984. This song was very popular.
This is a great love song. She is right on the mark with this song. 😁
This is why y'all my favorite YT reactors. Always keeping it real even when you don't like the song.
Great point others are afraid to upset their Patreons, MONEY!!
25 or 624 this is not! Smarmy schlock ballad
It was a huge record and the first cut off Chicago 17. It’s a squishy love long and not everybody loved it. Based on its chart success and the Chicago 17 sales most did though.
I graduated in 1984…huge hit. Danced to it at my prom. Excellent singing
Sorry T, but I love ❤this song!
If the Spice Girls covered this, T would be all in.
Metal Card still Revoked!
Lol
You can laugh all you want but this was the song my spouse and I danced our first dance at our reception and we just had our 36th anniversary
It's a great first dance song!
Good stuff!!
😂🤣🤣
That was David Foster featuring Chicago.
I go into a diabetic coma every time I hear this song.
It's a great song -- IF your idea of fun is almost drowning in a vat of honey and then saving yourself by drinking your way out.
Sappy melody, cring-inducing and symplisitc lyrics, I liked a lot of old Chicago, but this song makes me vomit.
That's how I feel when hear this song. Don't get me wrong. I love Chicago, but this one is an overload of syrup.
Cetera's voice is NOT my cup of tea, but I greatly respect the band's talent.
That's okay, he's not concerned with that; he's got money in the bank enough from those who do and he isn't serving you your tea.
@@algallego And you found it necessary to say that why? I wasn’t rude. Why be an Internet snit for no reason? 🙄
Battle with him Tasha… he has no ammunition
Great song, if you're browsing through the Hallmark section.
😎😎😎
I'm 68 ,I was there when these songs came out on the radio, and I have over a hundred record albums from when they were released.
The world and music were different back then .
When we hear these songs, we have memories to go with them ,all you have is a chair ,a little room with headphones.
So actually, you only judge a song by what you hear with no connection.
So ,this is probably why you get negative comments .
You can hear the music, but you'll never get or experience the memories connected to them .
Hey T and Tasha, love watching your reactions to music. Sorry T didn't like You're the inspiration, which even after Cetera left, is a staple of their live shows Having been a Chicago fan for years I've enjoyed the different phases that the band has gone thru. This song shows off Peter Cetera's soft rock ballad style. His style reminds me of Kevin Cronin from REO Speedwagon. Keep those reactions coming
If a man doesn't LOVE this song , How can he LOVE his woman ????
BWAHAHA...OH SHIT ! That was too good!!! Lolol
Tolerable if you're slow-dancing to it in the gym on Friday night after the football game.
Many make suggestions for Chicago's most saccharine hits. Not the soulful best from the early years, featuring Terry Kath. Unfortunate. Songs should come from the 1st 8 albums. I believe you've done Make me Smile & Probably 25 or 6 to 4. I'm a Man? Other good songs include Dialogue Parts 1 & 2, Poem 58, South California Purples, What's this World Coming To. If you want good ballads, you may have done If You Leave Me Now which is OK. But I prefer I've been Searching So Long. It soars at the end. An Hour in the Shower & Since You've Gone Away also have some soul.
Chicago's not worried whether he liked it or not...💲💲💲 😂
Really not!😂😂😂😂 cha-Ching! 💰💰💰💰💰
This. Crazy
@@Lovejazz01 what in the heck does that have to do with him just not liking the song? It’s not a great Chicago song because members of the band Chicago are well off. That means he can’t like the song?
@@primeminister66 he can not like it all he wants, that’s his opinion, but the song was a hit back in the day, so that means it doesn’t matter. Some people probably didn’t like it when it was released, but enough people loved it to make it a hit . Once something is successful then it doesn’t matter how many people don’t like it. What matters is enough people like it. That’s all we are saying.
I agree with Tee, lol. I always thought this song was cheesy. And not because it's a slow ballad, they have many more great slow ballads. This is just too repetitive and unimaginative for my tastes.
Written by Peter and David Foster.
You're right and he's wrong lol!
Play some more awesome Whitesnake for her T, I CANT BELIEVE YOU DIDNT LIKE WHITESNAKE TASHA !!!!
we all have our vibes, this one is hella CHEEEEESYYYYY and way too formulaic !!! Agree w T 🤣🤣🤣
Speechless! I'm just speechless!
Love the reaction T and Tasha. I have to admit it's not one of my favorite Chicago songs but it's a nice soft rock ballad for sure. One I think you will both like is 'Call On Me' from 1974 with Peter Cetera on lead vocals...it's a great track.
You guys should check out Peter Cetera and Chaka Khan's 'Feels Like Heaven.'
If you lived through this era this song was played to death - like the song "you light up my life". I could go the rest of my life without hearing it but the times are tied to the music so there are good memories that come from it.
I'm definitely with Tasha, I love this song, Peter Cetera could express powerful emotions with his voice
Your not alone...I'm not a fan and never have been.😅
I enjoy Chicago’s earlier music when Terry KATH WAS LEAD SINGER. This is was a big hit though during its time. ❤. Try Make me Smile by Chicago in their earlier days.
Exactly Make me Smile, actually the only song I dug by them.
Hey, he liked "I Don't Wanna LIve Without Your Love?" as cheesy as that video was-- the song is pretty decent though, just like this one-- it was indeed a big song when it premiered. I would love for them to react to the 'Stay The Night' official music video. That was a fun track and song.
This song isn't a whole lot different than Cetera's 'Glory of Love'-- AND, he liked that one-- probably because he spent the whole time trying to figure out what Karate Kid movie it was from rather than focusing on the lyrics-- just as gushy as love song and chivalrous. If he likes to point out cheesy, maybe he can check out 'Along Comes A Woman.' Personally, I think Remember the Feeling is a better song, although it didn't play on radio, nor was it a hit on mainstream radio.
This is a warm summer night jam.
When you're born in the 70s and grew up in the 80s, this was THE song you thought of when it came to your first crush or steady partner -- even if it was elementary school puppy love. Only REO Speedwagon's "I Can't Fight This Feeling" comes close ... 😳 ... Oh, there ya go, Tasha! 😏 If he doesn't like that THAT monster of a hit love song, he REALLY has no soul. Not even Ronnie Milsap can redeem him ... 😝🤣
I loved Chicago's first 3 albums. Yeah we used to call those things albums. "Saturday in the Park" (1972) wasn't my thing & the soft songs that followed.
Gotta go with Tasha on this one. Not liking this song is akin to holding a cute puppy and feeling nothing.
Can you react to missing you with Chicago and the Beach boys sing backup
Y'all could go in front of Judge Judy and let her decide. :-)
Hey Tee and Tasha love your podcast 😂
Never the same after Terry died.
Homeboy likes hair bands.
100% with you, T
This went to number 4 on the charts.
US Billboard Hot 100 --3
US Adult Contemporary (Billboard) --1
Hilarious 😆
It might be cheesy, but answer me this: who doesnt like cheese??
Hilarious reactions. You can’t like everything. I think it’s great.
Some people can't take the difference in singers. To me, it's all Chicago, timeless and beautiful.
What do you mean the difference? Peter's been with them since the beginning!
@@algallego Okay, permanent LEAD singer. Sheesh.
Huge fan of Peter
I don't hate it
Seems like it should be a movie song though
This was funny! 😂
I want to see the battle. I like the song but I also know it is cheesy pop music. 80's Chicago is not the same as 70's Chicago.
don't care, absolutely love this song
I agree with yr husband. I appreciate his honesty unlike many other channels. This song is too cheesy for me. I'm very aware of this group listening to music over 60 yrs. The only song I dug by them was Make me Smile
Why not react to a great late 60s band The Rascals?
Yeah, you probably listen to Donnie Osmond's puppy love in the shower!
@@algallego yr wrong nasty dude .
this song reminds me of some other song (that i cant remmember the name or the band ) that is probably better and as the same vibe
T, all the real ones know, if Terry Kath is not on the album......it's ass
😉
Lol
Oh, come on.
Play .."Born for this Moment"
*Worst ~grammar police
Thanks
I love this song and I don't care if anything says that is a terrible song.
As a guy, I LOVE this song! how in the heck could you not like it. His taste must be all in his mouth. 😜
Man I haven't heard this in least 30 years. Didn't realize how synthy it was til now.
Never cared for Peter Cliteras voice to be honest. The guy who sang on album 19 was better imo.
The purists will hate me for this, so sorry, internet people.
"Peter Cliteras." I'm dead! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@gigantor62 thanks, feel free to use it
He'd probably like this song better in a movie... 🤣😂😅😆

So many touchy people in the comments. Nobody cares how much the band makes, how it was 'your' song for whatever reason or grouping all love songs as one therefore not liking this must mean all romantic songs are not liked (don't fully get that silly limited thinking itself). People seem to be unable to accept another person's personal taste.
This song is a huge block of cheese. (remember, all you upset at the world not having your exact taste types, it's just one man's taste. Don't need to cry about how your dog was born to this song or whatever, that's irrelevant)
You can't become a complete man until you get in touch with your feminine/sensitive side, we all have both. GG
There's no "feminine" side in "masculine!" Quit listening to all that darn Second and Third Wave Feminism hogwash!
I wouldn’t feed my dog off a Chicago album that didn’t have Terry Kath.
the dog might starve then
@@pleutron my point exactly.
Thanks for being honest! This is NOT a good Chicago song.
😂😂😂, actually I prefer their early music
It's an ok song, but definitely not in my top 200. The Bee Gees I think are the only ones who can get by with the non-stop Falsetto. :)
Chicago jumped the shark when Cetera took the reins. Sorry to say, but it's true.
Dude...
I completely agree Chicago sucks
Old Chicago way better
Big “T” is right its a ok song they have many better stuff
Hate this song too!
Sorry folks, after the first two records they sucked. They sucked big time. I’m 70, I was there.
I'm a Chicago fan, and I agree with T......this song sucks. Best reaction ever!
Well, he can't like everything. After all the good videos I think we can overlook a negative review for this song
Hey, he likes Jason Scheff singing "Now" with Chicago-- that's post Cetera. Personally, I think Scheff balanced out the old with the new quite well, compared with Cetera.
He also likes 'Silent Lucidity' from Queensryche, which is considered a metal ballad lullaby since it was written for one of the band member's kids who was having nightmares, a little better on the pensive side when it comes to song musical composition, production and concept.
17 was their best album if you ask me. But nobody did, so I guess this is pointless.
Chicago 18, 19, and Twenty 1 had some decent songs.
Not a upper tear Chicago song to be honest with you. It’s super pop, just because it has I guess romantic lyrics that doesn’t make it a good song they have some songs. This is not one of them.
I agree, it sucked.
Never liked Cetera's voice. Something about it is too nasally and reedy to work for me.
CHEEZY!!!?
Cannot watch if he disrespects my fav band
❤ love me tomorrow
David Foster writing and Peter Cetera as lead singer was the end of Chicago as a rock band especially after the death of Terry Kath. they just became another pleasant Pop rock band without the hard driving lead guitar and voice of Terry. Girls love them still.
And sold a zillion records. 🙂 I'm pretty sure they didn't miss you. lol
I like Chicago but once Terry Kath died it was over, the end of Chicago. This stuff is ok for the mediocre crap that was on the radio in the 80s but when compared to Chicago of 1969-1977 it’s total shit. Girly music or for pillow biters. It just isn’t good, doesn’t showcase Chicago as musicians!! Sorry, it’s lame!
Awful, awful stuff from a band I once loved. Once Terry Kath died, for all intents and purposes, so did Chicago.
Fakest reaction ever
I love this entire album but I did grow up with it in the 80s! You two crack me up when you disagree. I had no idea how much Chicago's music evolved from their early days as my first exposure to them was this album. I think they are great in all of their forms. 😃
