So here's a theory I came up yesterday during nerd pub session ... terrible, poorly thought out brainfart incoming: The Man of Iron was purely the product of a fully functional STC, that got the wrong instructions and got a bit... overboard. The Ironkin from the Votann look very similar in design as the one Ironman survival in the Blackstone fortress and they are using some old STCs. So I think the cybernetic revolt was the result of the missuse of one or more intact STC. Hence when mankind finally got rid of the Man of Iron... We destroyed all our STCs. That's the reason why we can't find any fully functional one. We did a thorough job. :D
For the abhumans one, I'm gonna have to be terribly predictable and say felinids. As far as I'm aware, all we really have is an ancient fairly vague description along with one account by a Kroot who by his own admission can't tell humans apart and is immediately dismissed as an unreliable source. That's not a lot to go on. If I'm to stitch the descriptions together, I guess they're kinda hairy people with comically long claws.
Hmmm, in the terms of a chaos champion that symbolises chaos as a concept, wouldn't it a chapion that goes against their own patreon be the best embodiment of that? Of course not exclusively as that would again bring some order to their action, but more of a spontaneous, irrational way of sometimes working in their interest, sometimes in a different gods and sometimes against chaos as a whole?
