    I’ve owned the 20% CineBloom filter for a while and I love it. I will admit that I did not always understand what it was doing. I just liked the look 😂

      I think as long as you enjoy your outcome, that's all that matters.

    i think a comparation with the three filters at the same time would be very helpful, it was easy to see the difference with the light, but not that much with the skin or background, at least for me as a beginner. Great video anyway

      The difference was quite noticeable with the light for sure, I have to agree it was a more subtle effect on her skin and hair and seemed to maintain the sharpness and clarity in her eyes, but I actually went back and watched for the effect and it is noticeable, she still enjoys the beauty of youth, and clearly a discipline skin routine, so it might not be as obvious, but it did have a nice "glowy" effect. It's funny because I started watching this video knowing full well what this filter does and thinking I'ld watch anyway because there are usually still other interesting aspects and details she share from her work experience and seeing this effect displayed really made me rethink why I never use these filters when I have always been so adamant with other photographers about the value of shooting with other types of filters to modify the light you gather. It's funny I also thought to myself I woulder how much it would affect the image if she Stacked all 3 as well, I think that might have been a bit over the top, but it might also be pretty dramatic for low light or night video.

    I've wanted one of these pro-mist filters for so long but never knew which one. Now, I KNOW I want 10%. Thanks, Lizzie!

    Some misinformation in this video. Not to pick on you Lizzie. The Cineblooms are NOT black pro mists. They do not have the black flecks in them. Black Pro Mist is a particular filter made by Tiffen. It is a very different effect from Cinebloom. The Cinebloom does effect the shadows and reduces contrast by a lot. It’s very heavy handed.
    Diffusion and mist filters is a massive can of worms to open. My favorite is black satin or Hollywood black magic. Both are beautiful.
    The different strengths are also used to maintain the same amount of diffusion across the different focal lengths. The wider you go the stronger you need to achieve the same look. The tighter the focal length the lower the strength of mist you’ll need.

    20% Cinebloom I find too much, the 10% is perfect to me. Originally I wanted a Tiffen Glimmer Glass 1 but I ended up grabbing the new K&F Concept Shimmer Diffusion 1 and wow, its so good.

    Are these the Tiffen Pro Mists? Or Another brand? I am asking because I used to use the Tiffen and tried out a Cinebloom and prefered the Cine.

    • @upbypnw
      @upbypnw 8 місяців тому

      Pretty sure they are Moment Cinebloom, based on the case they come in/she’s handling.

      @@upbypnw I figured that from the cases as well or they’re some polar pro filters.
