Ep 4: 2018 CRF450R RACE BIKE BUILD (RADIATOR FLUSH & PROTECTION)

- Watch part 4 of 8 total episodes of building my 2018 CRF450R race bike! This is how you flush your coolant system using very little tools and some vinegar. I have used Engine Ice for over 5 years. I didn't care for polisport plastics before but these louvers with clip on mesh guards certainly changed that! These things are perfect and fitment is amazing.
Next video should be installing break away clutch and brake levers, along with some fresh grips. After that will be the graphics install and a final assembly of the bike. Almost done! COMMENT WHAT VIDEOS I SHOULD MAKE NEXT!

Where can I get that medal Y hose set up for the water pump
Have you guys had any problems with the choke knob on your 18 450 ? Mine keeps cutting out and numerous people have suggested that it could be where the choke knob has been adjusted ?
Good videos bro!
Thank You!
Were did you get the mesh for the radiators from. As I don’t believe polisport makes mesh for the 2017/2018 yet.
Brandon McComb i found them in the wps off-road catalog under body and then radiator louvers from polisport. They have a clip on system that only works with polisport louvers but fitment was exceptional. Hope that helps
Thank you I will check it out.
Going to be doing this to my 17 Crf450r thanks for the vid 🤘🏼 did you notice the engine help keep it running cooler or not a real difference ?
SocalYzF710 not a huge difference but I’m sure it helps, thanks!
where did you get those radiator nets from?
harley dufaux I got them from WEstern Power Sports they are polisport mesh louvers covers but they only work on polisport radiator louvers because they have a special clip on system
Thankss for the vid. Is there no need to get air bubbles out the system?
Very important step tip bike to the side
@@user-yb7mo5kx5m thank you👍
Do you need to do this everytime you go to add coolant? Like completely flush it? I just bought a 17 crf450r and it has 8 hours on it. I opened the radiator cap and can’t see any fluid. Do I just add till it gets to the top or should I do what you did. I checked the oil and it’s still a really good color. So I know in the 8 hours the dude rode it he took care of it
Derek Briggs if u know what coolant it has in it use the same and top it off. The coolant only needs to be changed every year or 50 hrs which ever come first. I changed coolant so the flush was necessary.
FULL THROTTLE FILMZ thanks bro 👌
I have a 2013 CRF450R and I just put a new radiator and cleaned air filter now my bike won't start??any ideas why,any help would be greatly appreciated
Daniel Sullivan that is strange because both of those things should have no effect on the bike starting..
Yea I've been kicking it over crazy, has spark,I'm going to have to check out fuel injector I guess
