i am..... terrified
All 3 movements are absolutely beautiful! Brings back great memories memorizing and playing these pieces.
Since this was so amazing and expressive I was legit smiling the whole time like the freak I am. James Galway I love your playing its so AMAZING!
Fantastic chamber music, perfectly together.
Magical fingers
Very beautiful!! This is perfection!
gave me literal goosebumps
Trying to learn this piece. got the first two movements down (except the double tonguing but that's coming along) but this one is sooooo fast! I already know movement 2 from grade 7 and i'm working on the others for grade 8 but its so hard! fun though!
Love this piece so awesome
Phillip Moll is pianist.
This guy!
An great opportunity for the "Me Too" movement for piano-players, as this pianist deserves equal billing in my opinion. Why is he not even mentioned? This is a standard from the last century where unknown collaborators worked with bigger-name performers without mention. It is time to change that.
And they remained unknown BECAUSE they weren't mentioned.
There's a modern phenomenon "20ft from FAME" about rollingstone B/U!
Amazing
All the other postings on You Tube of this Flute Sonata have the courtesy to name the other musician involved in this performance - yes, the PIANIST! This may not be the fault of Sir James Galway but may be due to his publicity team who seem so keen to sing his praises. But it does not reflect well on his professionalism to appear to ignore his playing partner!
Phillip Moll is the pianist
GREAT pianist. and very important point for you to make. ALWAYS name your collaborative pianist, you can't have a concert with out them!
damn chill out margaret, you sound like a salty accompanist
I totally agree. Especially since Sir Galway and Mr Moll have been playing together for several decades now. Literally.
@@MariaMoPiano And the composer wrote a duo for two instruments! Thank you for your comment.
I never cared for Galway, but this sonata may well have changed my mind.
amazing ㅜㅜ (korean)♥♥
Who is the pianist?
Very unjust not to mention the pianist Philip Moll in the description ! Chamber music always needs an equivalent partner....
IMHO The first and second movements were perfect in tempo.....this is a bit faster than even most of his recordings of the work. But I like it............a lot.
