Dude, totally stoked that you're making a new type of video. I even let the whole commercial run before your video. I've spent the last couple of weeks running Call of Cthulhu and it's been going great. We had to tae a break from Pathfinder after I TPK'd the group and they were super salty about it :) Keep up the great work and hope all is well with you!
Thanks again my friend, I appreciate the support and comments. Always good to hear from ya. I definitely want to branch out my video content a bit, but don't get me wrong, puzzles will always be my bread and butter. I have ideas for new puzzle videos I hope to record soon... hopefully publishing as soon as January 2018.
The group was 3rd level and facing the final boss of the first book of the Carrion Crown Adventure Path, a notoriously brutal campaign. Since the entire party was killed there'd ne no one to remove their bodies from the ghost infested prison to resurrect the PC's.
That sounds like a ton of fun! Glad I was able to introduce you to the Oculo Swarm... tell your players I'm sorry. lol. Thank you for the fantastic comment! :)
Yeah it was amazing, I was also able to use its ability to "spy" on them with singular eyes to say that the scientist had been watching them for quite some time, but they could not catch the scientist as he used the fight to escape from them. Anyways I have a lot of amazing home-brew monster that I have made, most being Middle Eastern styled if you want to hear about them.
Awesome! I'm glad the Oculo Swarm worked well for you, I can't wait to use it in my game. :) Sure thing, I always dig seeing homebrew creations. Did you know that Kobold Press has a kickstarter for their next "monster manual" the "Creature Codex"? There is only a few days left, but I believe they are accepting submissions for homebrew monsters to include in their new publication. You should check it out: www.kickstarter.com/projects/350683997/creature-codex-5th-edition-monsters-including-comm
Wow thank you so much for the link, I will share with you a few of the monsters I have made and then give you a couple concepts of monsters. The first two are aquatic monsters, because in my campaign they had to go dow a river that was much like the Nile River in that it was huge and flowed through most of the country. The first monster is called a Dundani, and they are basically like fresh water sharks around 5 ft long that work in small packs of 5 or 6. The main mechanic you would use with these fish is their charge move with they will use to constantly ram the sides of the ship trying to knock someone over board to eat. In my campaign they were constantly getting knocked over because they kept on missing the harpoon shots (Their were 6 mini harpoons three on each side of the boat). So instead they decided to jump into melee range of the fish and fight them there which worked. The next one is the Alanqilis which is this huge nocturnal eel which I used as like a mini-boss. It is round 30 ft long and can shoot acid, but its main attack is its bite which has two parts. It opens it mouth and a first set of jaw tries to grab the victim, if it succeeds it then pulls the victim into the second set of jaws. If that succeeds it then pulls the victim under water and if they stay under water for 5 turns and cant open the jaws of the monster with a strength check they end up drowning. So the next two monsters are sort of designs that I have yet to put stats on. The first one is the Hieracosphinx which is an animal that has been carved into the dungeon walls as a protector of the tombs. When someone comes near the sphinx can jump out of the walls and if it needs to it can jump back in. The next one are the Mukotos which are masks made of gold. They are cursed and if someone puts them on or tries to take them they attach to the face of the victim and in 4 turns start covering them in bandages turning them into mummies. If they cant oull them off in 4 turns they are turned into a mummy. The final one, I promise, is called the Aloo, the Aloo are spirits who want to get their humanity back, so they steal organs and body parts from humans living beings, but they cant sustain these organs so they start to decompose. The only organ they do have is skin, which they are covered in, but lack any hair, eyes, ears etc. They are just floating bags of skin. I have a lot more and I mean a lot more, but i just now realized how much I have typed and I'm gonna stop so have fun with these Arabian monster concepts!! :)
The Veil of Tears, if you fail your save, you are blinded. Could be an alternative for the eye-pulling move. I'd absolutely have a beholder eye, or two, in there.
You betcha my friend, I will do my best to keep content relevant for both systems. While there is some Pathfinder information in my Oculo Swarm video, I regret not splitting the video more evenly between 5E and Pathfinder. The Pathfinder version is way more interesting. Even though I will be converting my personal game to 5E, I still have Pathfinder videos planned for the future (Poison being at the forefront)... Thank you for the continued support, my friend. Good to hear from you!
I think the Oculo swarm Pathfinder entry is more interesting is because Pathinfer is a more interesting and robust system. My group switched to 5E right when it came out ut we switched back after about a year or so. We just got too bored with 5E. All the classes seem very similar and the fact that wizards and fighters have the same BAB just doesn't make any sense at all. It's always good for a group to branch out and try new things but I wouldn't be surprised if your group switched back to Pathfinder after tinkering around with 5E. Good luck.
lol. Not at all. Thank you for the comment. :) Good luck on your exam... I always advise a cup of coffee an hour before a test... helps get the brain fired up!

I’m making a mad scientists layer filled with homunculi and other nasty creations and this is perfect for it thank you so much dude.

Super cool monster, I want to make one.
You should! That would be a super cool miniature to make! Thanks for the comment Fred! :)
Wally D.M. I think AJ on the Mighty Glue Stick made one, so will do.
i like the eye of dendallon. cursed eye
Great video! HUGE help!
Awesome! Glad you liked it. :)
Wally D.M. I’m about to binge watch all your videos. Can’t believe I haven’t come across your content before!
Rock on! Glad you found my channel. Hope you like the vids... Enjoy! :)
Keep up the Pathfinder videos. There's plenty of 5E channels out there. Just sayin'....

Just keep in mind that if one has but one eye, one will have no depth perception.
Ah.... good point buddy, very good point! Thank you for the insightful comment!
Using the Eye of Vecna isn't the wisest of choices...
ooh, one of the eyes may have belonged to the witness of a murder. Now the PC has visions of the crime 🕵️♀️
Some great ideas! This is still one of my favorite Kobold Press monsters. I've used it so many times. Especially in my Dragon Heist game.
I'm late, I let you down Wally
I'm sorry (exam week)
