I remember back in 2007 my dad twisted his ankle while playing raquetball and he had to wear a cast for a long time. Mom, Jason and I had to carry my dad's loungechair from the basement to the master bedroom so dad can stretch out his leg. After he got the cast off, he started wearing a boot to help his ankle heal even more. Now regards to Blayke, just believe that the Lord is going to have His way

Yep, I had a cast just like this up my arm when I was 7. I’ve broken my left and right wrists a handful of times. I’ve had loooots of casts cut off lol. It feels soooo good when they pull it apart with the metal clamps. My skin is always itchy and dry though.
I fractured my wrist when I was 8, it was very annoying because I only just started gymnastics at the time so I couldn’t go. Hope Blake feels better soon
Omg! Yay! I remember when I got 3 casts in the span of a year and an half and it felt sooooo good to get it off! I kept my first one bc it was a knee one and we put a lamp in the top! Y’all should have made a flower pot or something lol!
I have a cast cut off three times it was very scary the first time bc I thought he was gonna cut my arm but it didn’t the second time I wasn’t as scared and the third time wasn’t scared at all the third time I broke it I didn’t kno I did until I put pressure and it hurt and I pulled my solve up and it was broke it was wavy like waves and I didn’t cry or panic it just hurt Blayke is so brave and I love watching them as they grow

11 years ago my then 2.5 year fractured his arm climbing over a baby gate 🤦♀️🙁 when it came to take it of they thought by soaking his arm was better 2 hours later they decided using the saw was better, like we told the nurse originally. Hope blayke is feeling alot better now.

I’m surprised they didn’t wipe her arm down with cold water after the alcohol wipe. That’s how they did mine over the years. Would have helped with the itching.
I have had casts on both arms and my son had one on his ankle! We kept them as "souvenirs"!! It is a little scary to kids but once they realize how it works they are usually fine!
I had a cast when I was 2.5 from falling off the monkey bars. I didn't cry at all when I had a compound fracture until they took the cast off. That saw scared my 2.5 year old self. Lol

When I broke my arm when I was about her age it was very liberating the day it was taken off I just like her was worried about the thing they use to cut it off cutting my arm of course it won't cut you just the cast for some relief
I remember when I broke my wrist I the 2nd grade and had to wear a cast. Except for the part where the doctor never told me that the cast would be cut off by the saw thing. So when it came to removing it, I was screaming my guts out in front of the doctor and shaking like a leaf. So he called my mom and I believe my dad in as well to calm me down but still it was scary for me. Plus I was from a different country and didn't know the English language well so it didn't help much.
Yes. I know that guy who took her cast off. He is a medical assistant at utmb where I volunteer at. I have a secret crush on him. I know the lady in blue. I volunteered here for years. They will take good care of her.
Mine was a full body cast some 58 yrs ago. I was 3-4 yrs old. I screamed bloody murder. I thought that saw was going to cut me. The man explained to me he would only saw a little bit, then open the cast with a hammer. I still screamed. My Mom said he felt so badly.

I got my cast off & the the orthopaedic surgeon said to wash dishes for physio. It really helps with the warm soapy water!

Yes I have! When there is dried blood and it’s stuck to the stitches and the stitches are stuck to the cast! Omg it hurt like hell!
