- Bonjour, it's Théo 👋
Today, we are trying Gast, it's a beautiful restaurant in Paris that is open all-day-long. It's a restaurant but also a coffeeshop and a bakery!
They make everything at home : from the breads of your breakfast to the tapas to share at the dinner. 🍽️
GAST
14 Rue Bertin Poirée, 75001 Paris

Even when you eat with your hands, the French still makes it look elegant and sophisticated. That caramel cake looks delish! You really are tempting us to fly to Paris with all your food/restaurant vlogs.
I love it---"Garlic of the Bears!" Sometimes literal translations are so much fun. The restaurant and all the food look wonderful!
💖💖💖Thanks Theo!
From the USA. You have a knac for finding beautiful women s friends! I was so glad to see you dip your bread in the plate sauce.
Everything looked so delicious! The dessert...wow!!
😍
Gast is German for Guest btw🤗
Oh nice to know ! The chef have chosen this word because it's also Breton word (the regional language of Brittany)
Bonjour Theo. Thanks for taking us along to this cozy cafe. Loved the vibe. Also, the food looked amazing and prepared with a lot of care.
I too love dipping the 🍞bread into the sauce or gravy! 😊
I'm so happy you enjoyed this meal with us !
Hey Theo, can you do a video on the progression of Paris preparing for the olympics? I'm sure everyone would love to see that.
Oh great idea ! Right now I've only seen the seats being put on the Place de la Concorde
That food looked delicious and fancy!! That chocolate dessert though wow looked so yummy!!! Lovely video.
Thank you !
Bonjour. Merci for sharing Paris with us. 💙🤍❤️
Thank you !
Fabulous video … we really enjoy your real Parisian reviews of restaurants. We are keeping the restaurants for our upcoming trip.
I'm glad you loved it !
Good afternoon Theo & pleasure to meet you Mathilde. Another cool eatery. The food looks amazing! 1 of everything please😊
I'm glad you loved the video !
That's the fluffiest bread I've ever seen 😊
It was delicious !!
Malheureusement, je suis allergique aux oignons, à l'ail, aux échalotes, à la ciboulette, etc. Quelle dommage! Je ne pense pas qu'il soit possible pour moi de manger quoi que ce soit à Gast.
In English, we do use a lot of French words, particularly relating to food. French and English share around 30% of our words. So yes, we'll often call them “brochettes” especially in nicer restaurants. The “skewer” is technically the stick in the middle, though some people will call the whole thing a “skewer.”
English lesson here… when a restaurant makes something themselves, we won’t say “made at home” because that really refers to someone’s actual HOME. Instead, we'd say “made in-house.” Where it gets weird, though, is that we WOULD sometimes call it “homemade.”
2nd 😅❤
