Quality patrol by Japanese, Japanese food in the Philippines - Filipino Japanese Food Honest Review of Japanese food in the Philippines Marudori Shio Paitan
Awwww this is so sweet. Him speaking Filipino so politely. Hope you always enjoy your time in the country. I'd like to try that japanese approved ramen now.
It's refreshing to see a japanese person liking stuff in the Philippines. I'm half Japanese and my dad often complains about everything here so I always thought there's nothing Japanese people will like here 😅😅😅
hahahhahahha I feel your dad!!! its just different taste by localizing so if I don't think Japanese food or if they don't charge Japan price,, its tasty lol maybe you dad too, in the philippines, we Japanese prefer Filipino food more I guess! hahaha
This is probably during the ber"" season in Manila which is whole different experience. I know you're recommendations are on point. The food looks good and if its Jun approved, then it must be good.
Another fura-fura video from you Jun! It's been a while since I last went to Rockwell, maybe before the pandemic? A lot has changed so thank you for showing us what's new in the other part of the city..... P.s. I live in Quezon city that's why Rockwell is a bit of a travel for me
The ramen I fell in love with in Japan was Kyushu Jangara in Shibuya, I miss the mentaiko and pickled gingers jars which isn't a common here in the Philippines I'm very curious about Menya Ippondo, they're located in Little Tokyo in Makati They're offering Jiro style ramen
ohhhh seems you know a lot about Japan!! great choice hahaha Thanks for the comment : ) Ohhhhhhhh really???? Jiro style ramen in Makati?? sounds I have to try that!! Arigatoo infoo
I agree, Philippine ramen is creamy. But I have tried one non-creamy ramen place, and its called Ramen Shokudo. Though my all-time favorite Ramen is still Curry Ramen from Surugin Ramen.
It's creamy or nothing. If I'm gonna spend that much for a bowl of ramen, it has to be something creamy. Because those simple ramens like shoyo and shio don't do the price justice.
When I go to Japan, I don't crave for ramen. Ramen in the Philippines is plenty and the popular ones in Japan has a queue that turns me off. Instead, I go to Indian restaurants. They are quite rare in the Philippines.
Ohhhhhh You know Japan hahahah same here same here unless very unique Ramen or late night time hahah Indian restaurant in Japan is super good I love it! I feel you!
Hi Jun! Lots of Japanese professionals near my previous work ate mostly ate a place called "Little Tokyo", a small alley-like area in Makati with lots of Japanese restos with different specialties, it is frequented by Japanese nationals for ramen, sashimi, sushi etc...Hope you could try it there sometime...*Disclosure: Haven't tried it myself but a lot of our former Japanese clients attest to it. =)
That made me want to try Yardstick! I tried Harlan + Holden Coffee, and I love it, it's just a little too sweet though. One of my favorites is Toby's Estate. Maybe you can try that too, if you haven't yet. Enjoy!
@@watanabejun Marudori and Mendokoro are both owned and operated by the same group. You should ask for their "secret menu," and they will offer ramen that is not on the main menu 🙂
