David is one of the best at telling a story thru song that i have ever heard. He sings with such expression and feeling that he brings a song alive like no other can.
This is a classic by Don Francisco, written in 1977. I haven't heard this is many, many years. GREAT song...thanks for bringing it back. And...nobody can sing a song like David Phelps. Praise God...Jesus is ALIVE...!! Jesus took the PENALTY of our sin...we are "terminal" and destined for eternal separation from HIm, and Jesus became our CURE, by becoming our substitutional sacrifice to circumvent the wrath of a Just and Righteous God. We were once dead in our sins, but because of the cross and Christ's resurrection, we now have the chance to be reconciled to God. We were dead, but now through Jesus (alone), we can be ALIVE...!! Because He lives, now we can too!

Funny circumstance. The guy right behind David when he hits the epic notes is Jason Crabb. The look on his face is a big fat WOW. When you watch the video Let Freedom Ring, David hits his epic note. Jason is off to the side(much younger), with that same WOW look. It’s pretty telling about what Jason feels about David’s singing.

Thank God, thank God, I am so glad I have enough faith and knowage to know He is ALIVE, He was born, died, and raised from the dead, and He's alive and is makeing a place for us Haven but only for the ones that belive in him and ask for forgiveness and start believing and have faith. Ask for forgives of your sin and start liveing for God and trust and read your Bible and pray.
Amen to the message of the song powerfully presented from the perspective of Peter, and to the message that followed. I couldn't help but notice the thumb nail at the end of the video for Larry Ford's "Then He bowed His head and died", a powerful "Good Friday" piece from a Gaither concert, well worth seeing. For Resurrection day I love the Ernie Haase Signature Sound version of "Then came the morning" from another Gaither event.

The original writer/artist of this song many, many years ago was Don Francisco. If you get a chance, listen to his. David puts a different flavor to it and makes it really come alive (pun intended!).

Going through a full stroke in 2011 at 49 with full paralysis of the right side and 1.5 years of therapy was just a trial God put me through. Beating cancer 30 years ago as well and 15 surgeries of different things and 3 days on life support from a lung disorder, again, God continues to bless me and keep me strong. Being a trumpet player for over 48 years, I'm still blessed to be playing still. Doing military live Taps for our fallen soldiers almost every week on and off is another blessing of God. This is a video I did just after my first stroke and I just wanted to share it with you. God is Good. 🙏🏻

I first heard this song sung by the one and only Dolly Parton on the Tonight Show, back in Johnny Carson days. I was stunned, totally not expecting that.
I'm not a big fan of this version - much prefer Dolly's or Don Francisco's. But any way its an awesome song.

This was good, but I actually like Dolly Parton's version of this better.
Great message in this song, though I wish it focused more on the Atonement. Resurrection is the free gift, all will live again in the flesh, good, bad and unaware. Yes, even those who never heard of Jesus Christ their whole life, for they will hear of him after death and will be given the chance to accept him, and we will do what is required on earth, "That they without us cannot be made perfect.", as even the righteous before Jesus Christ lived needed men to do after Jesus Christ's death, so that they could receive the promise, it no longer says in the New Testament what the men, who lived after Jesus Christ's resurrection, had to do, even for the righteous, who died before Jesus Christ was resurrected, in order to receive the promise, not resurrection from the dead, which is to all, but the promise of Salvation. Maybe some day someone will find one of those lost epistles of Paul, and it will tell what those required actions are.
Our Jesus is Alive and l i k e he promised before he descended into heaven he said I will be back one day but until then I'm going to send you a comforter the Holy Ghost and what a great comforter is he nothing in this world can comfort you l i k e the presence of God and the Holy Ghost can I do believe we are living in the last days I mean look what is going on so either by The Rapture or death I do know I will be in heaven one day with my family but most of all with Jesus the one who died from me can you imagine the people who are in heaven who sing for the Lord what they sound like no we can never imagine that but just think while you're worshiping God in heaven and every time you look at him you get in the presence of God and it just keeps getting stronger every time there is a song called I'll be back and it goes l i k e this the grave could not hold me I'm headed back to Glory but devil you keep this in mind I'll be back Christians don't lose faith he'll be back Amen Amen ❤❤
