I am an amateur gourmet chef. I cook a lot and all my friends always use the description "he's a great cook" when they introduce me to new friends. Well, I LOVE good food. I searched and searched for a recipe for these. I landed on yours, and YOU WON! Making them tonight! I may not have the cream of chicken soup, but I'll make some chicken flavored béchamel to use instead. Winner winner chicken dinner!

Ultra nostalgia...last time I ate these was in the 5th grade cafeteria! I recall the sauce was more like bland bechamel. Thank you...BTW the ingredient list says 1 cup milk for the sauce, but in the video you use ¼ cup.

Excellent presentation. Used to have Weaver frozen chicken croquettes (No longer available). That was back in the 60's and 70's. Can''t find chicken croquettes in diners or any other eating establishments. Will be trying this recipe very soon.

Patricia Zernone-Wood while I have never tried, I cannot imagine it would not be just as good with ground chicken. In fact while cooking the ground chicken you can likely infuse even more flavor into it during the frying. In fact, I thank you as I will take your question and use it as a suggestion and try it myself as well.

Judith Jones, the late great food editor who gave Julia Child her first big break, has a section in her autobiography about how croquettes were very popular in the early/mid 20th century but have gone out of fashion because people became anti fried food as the years went on. She provides a simple recipe in her book using a thick white sauce, herbs, and meat of your choice. I made a grilled chicken yesterday and I am sick of eating it....so now I have some of these babies in the fridge ready to form and fry! Thanks for showing the cone shape...I was just going to form it like a salmon patty....but now I know better!

Childhood favorite, we had a restaurant in Boston in the 60's and a wonderful cook. I use to come in on Saturday's after shopping with my mother, our beloved chef would ask what do you want for lunch. It was always the same, delicious chicken croquettes. How I miss those days... I've got a rotisserie in the fridge and know what I'm going to do with those leftovers. So glad I found this channel )))

Something came up in another video I was watching that reminded me of croquettes. At 54 years old, we had these all the time and ordered them at diners. You were the first video that had the cone shape, the only way to make them, so I subscribed. I love this guilty pleasure and I'm sure my family will too. On a similar note, about nostalgic food; I had to come up with a menu for 300 people for a weekly dinner at my church. I chose chopped steak, mashed, green beans, with salad and a peach cobbler for desert. Pastor said the chopped steak would be a flop because it a a fake steak from the depression years. Most people said it reminded them of their parents and there wasn't a patty left after the seconds and thirds were taken. Love these forgotten recipes! Thanks

Bill Collier I would have gone back for seconds and thirds as well! Chopped steak was something we ate when I was a kid as well! My father was a mason and I was the youngest of 7. I think your choice was a brilliant choice. Your feedback is exactly why I enjoy doing this! I love hearing about people’s love of food and how it was in their life and how passionate they are about it! My mother unloaded on me when she saw my meatball video because I used bread crumbs in them instead of bread. She was 100% right on calling me out. She gave me my love of food and cooking. Thank you for sharing your story and welcome to the channel!

Oh this is so close to my recipe except I use chopped turkey! I also saute minced onion, celery and carrot and add all of your ingredients, it was always a sneaky way to get the kids to eat more veggies. When mixing the gravy I would have to use 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and add evaporated milk to the desired gravy thickness. OH so GOOD over a bed of mashed potatoes. I have just froze 4 of the cone shaped wonders to take to my mother-in-law since her apartment complex is on lock down for health reasons today! I think they would work very well in an air fryer! Because of the convection it will likely take less time than in the oven as well.
