In x y z qst. Why can't we just add 70 81 90 and divide by 3 to get avg. ?? Why so much calc
@@ydissidy8112 bcz avg =no. of students *marks divided by no.of students

Sir can you please explain replacement method in mixture and alligation??
First time i saw u using hindi word MANLO🙄😆
In the last ques if we convert 2/7in percentage it becomes 28.72 and in earlier percentage ch we used to just minus that percentage from sp to get cp
You can do it by assume method, C.P =100

Very Interesting Questions
Thank You Soo much Sir
The concept of Profit and Loss Questions have been explained in full detail in the below link in the most simple and innovative manner.
ua-cam.com/video/sK6SkqSI_Tc/v-deo.html
in the last question of the video, I tried solving it this way, someone validate if this could possibly be the approach.
SP: 1st______28______2nd
4 : 3
28 - 1st : 2nd-28
by solving above proportion, we get 4 x 2nd + 3 x 1st= 196
in a way we can say combined SP comes out to be 196( no point in further trying to find individual SP's)
Given: CP of 2nd= CP of 1st + 3
hence, Combined CP= 2 x 1st + 3
now, putting Profit formula
Given P%= 40% ( of the mixture, i.e., combined profit)
P% = 40% = (196 - Combined CP)/ Combined CP
(Combined CP= 2 x 1st + 3)
After solving, CP comes out to be 1918/28 = 68.5 // Answer to the problem
Great👍
i didnt understand anything
The correct formula is q1/q2 = p2-p/p-p1
So inverse 1/4..is correct
Or
W1*d1=W2*d2
same confusion here i think in place of 4/1 it would be 1/4 and answer will be 100/3.
and in the last question it will also contain 4/3 instead of 3/4 am i right?

sir for first question : 36 kg of grape turned into x kgs of dry grape ...we can solve it easy
like ......fresh grape has10 percent which is 3.6 kg ...and pulp of a dry grape is 72 percent ...hence for one kg it ll be 720 grams ....so 3.6 kg / 0.720 grams = 5kg ....
sir 2nd question mai nearest integer manga hai ... us hisab se to 82 hona chahiye na answer?
Nice questions sir
sir in the 2nd question, can we calculate x:z with the help of x:y and y:z and then calculate the avg of all classes by summing the avg of x and y, avg of y and z and avg of x and z and then divide by 3 as the answer is coming 81.33 and closest will be 81. just wanted to know , is it necessary to use x:y:z and then use the conventional method?
what you found is the avg marks of three classes but sir solved the question for avg marks of total students irrespective of the class
in 17:24 question about x and 100-x, x is bigger so it should be x-60 and 100-x smaller so 60 - 100-x
Same doubt! because in the first class sir taught the concept that more the weight, less will be distance, i.e. weight is inversely proportional to distance.
Your concern is correct , but in this , it will not impact much because , both the minus , minus will cancel out each other and give us the same result , you can try
Thank You sir! 😁🙏🏻
The answer of first question is 81.67, so nearest integer should be 82 right?
You may join any coaching institute but end of the you need to come here ❤❤

. A 10 liter cylinder contains a mixture of water 1 and sugar, the volume of sugar being 15% of total volume. A few liters of the mixture is released and an equal amount of water is added. Then the same amount of the mixture as before is released and replaced with water for a second time. As a result, the sugar content becomes 10% of total volume. What is the approximate quantity of mixture released each time?
Can you solve this Sir?
In last question how 2/7 is decrease ,where 2/5 is increase on cost price?
u can use direct formula of alligattion in last two question instead of using this method it will save your time

Sir in second last question if x is smaller than 60 then how x is 66.67, it was confusing. Can someone explain?

Sir,please clearify ..You have said in the earlier coceptual videos that in sea saw method the lighter weight will have more distance from the middle point but in this video you are saying that the weight of the person will be more whose distance is more.

thank you so much
if x is less than 60 then how x can be equal to 200/3....if we solve it by (p1q1 + p2q2)/(q1+q2) then we get x=100/3
100-x value is 100/3
you can do it both ways because the minus values would cancel out each other anyways.
You have not uploaded practice videos on percentages.
16:05 sir ye wala question hum average ke method se bhi kar sakte hai kya

Why we can't do 2/5 of 28
in the first grape question after finding the amount of pulp in dry grapes from 36 kg fresh grapes aren't we supposed to add 28% water to get amount of dry grapes ?
as in 36 kg fresh grapes there is 5kg pulp then + 28 % water

Yeah, exactly. I am using that only for most of the questions. It's very helpful!
sir why cant we solve first question as 38% of 36 kg?
Nearest integer is 82 in 2nd que
correct
Solving last question by allegations is very easy:
(X+3-20) / (20-x)=3/4
answer comes out to be 131/7 this way, but sir has shown 128/7, what's the correct answer
when we have to take difference ratio and actual ratio??
Hey, did you cleared CAT 22?
I think in the last question what you were trying to teach while taking the greater number for difference is not necessary, we can assume any value to be bigger and still get the same answer as it is in ratio, so minus we can take common and cut, it will make no difference.
Why pulp in FG=Pulp in DG? DG has 72% pulp?
Bec. water andar aanae sae full jayega aur nikalnae sae pichak jayega but pulp to same rahega like water in balloon, with water it's vol will rise and with no water vol. will be less but its perimeter (elastic part) will remain same
Sir can we find the answer through dis route :
avg of X and Y is 76 &
avg of Y and Z is 86
so (76+86) divided by 2 = 81 (answer)
total avg of classes X , Y , & Z is 81.
Exactly idk why to make it this lengthy by using alligqtion
nearest integer would be 82 right? 3022/37=81.68 ~ 82
No we can not round it off like that. In such question, we take pre exisitng values i.e. 81. Because 82 does not exist but 81 is already existing with 81.68. So 81 is to be chosen.
@@vaibhavgautam2416 82 is correct
@@vaibhavgautam2416 Basic maths 101: when the first digit after the decimal point is 5 or greater, we round it off to the next integer.
Cost Price = Selling Price - (Profit Percentage * Selling Price) In this case, the selling price is $28/kg, and the profit percentage is 40%. First, convert the profit percentage to a decimal by dividing it by 100. Profit Percentage = 40% = 0.4 Now, use the formula to calculate the cost price: Cost Price = $28 - (0.4 * $28) = $28 - $11.20 = $16.80 Therefore, the cost price of the item. So how is it 20? , this is last question
Sp=cp + profit..
So here selling price is given which is 28 and profit % is 40% ..nothing is mentioned so we take the percentage on cost..but in this ques we have to find cost..we apply the % on selling price i.e 28× 40/140= 8 ..8 is the profit..then we have to minus the profit from selling price ..we will get 20 as cost..hope this will help uh😊
I know it's a silly query but can anyone explain How to know which quantity to take? For ex in last question why can't the quantity of x be 4 instead of 3?
Answer to your question lies in the mixtures and allegation lecture -1
Does anyone know why the answer at 15:40 is 81, and not 82? The actual answer comes out to be 81.67, which should be rounded off to 82. But in CAT, if your approximation deosn't match the answer key, it is wrong. Can anyone clarify, please?
sirji did not calculate it fully. and yes, after approximations it should've been 82. but i hope you heard that sir said " it should be 81 point something, thus 81 is the answer"
The answer to the question is asked in an integer form, so 81 would be the answer as it's the closest integer rather than 82.

Sir you said we've to judge which value is greater between x and x+3 , but in the previous question how did you judge which value is greater between x and 100-x ?
In his earlier video he has explained whoever weigh lesser will sit farther from the ∆. His equation is wrong in 100-x% question.
I m also confused.....
I might be wrong but this works for me:
According to his approach if we have 3 values A------B-----C then the Distance between B & C will be C-B and A& B will be B-C. This is because even if you check it by Alligation Mapping, you'll get it as P2-P (C-B) / P-P1 (B-A) = Q1/Q2 where Q1 & Q2 are Weight ratio, reciprocal of the Distance ratio. Let me know if this is helpful.
Yes, Sir is wrong on that part but the good thing is if you solve by correcting the equation you'll still get the same answer, i.e., (100-x)% ------[60]%--x%. And the new equation would be [60-(100-x)]%/(x-60)% = 4/1.

I've used alligation mapping and the equation I got was (x-60)/(100-X)-60=1/4. Both harsh and vansukh, don't look only at 60-X, loot at 40-X also.
