Hi Brother in 3 rd question we have to multiple with 2.5 if we multiple for A = 28 × 2.5=70
for C =33× 2.5 = 82.5
C-A = 82.5 - 70=. 12.5

Hello sir in 2 nd last question 1x=2.5
So28*2.5=70
Answer of that year wala question is 70, 90, 82.5 of A,B,C respectively.
at 21:47 by mistake sir used multiplying factor as 1.5 instead of 2.5 so the correct ages of A, B and C are 70, 90 and 82.5 yr respectively.

In the solution the difference between the ratios of A and C is 5. 12.5/5 = 2.5, Then why are the ratios multiplied by 1.5 instead of 2.5?

Can please anybody let me know that in question no.3 sir's value came 28 36 & 33 but instead of 36 the value can also come 12 na because 9 & 12 both will get cancelled by 3 then it will become 4*3=12 instead of 36. Please let me know

just remember, in any ratio the first term always represents the multiplication of all the numerators and the last term of the ratio represents the multiplication of all the denominators.

In first example i.e. 7:8 ....and so on in that case we can also do in this way also do cross multiply 7 with 12 and 8 with 13.

@supriya das: I understand your concern. But, what I suggest is do not follow order while preparing for quant. Remember quant is not same as math. You need to apply logic to find solution faster with help of math tools only if required. So a mix of concepts and ideas in random order works. That is how quant questions are set. Your response will be similar to the way your brain gets trained. So, please do not follow any particular order. This is just my suggestion from being a pretty good scorer in quant sections of GMAT. All the best for your preparations. Thank you.
