Great info as always. My super power is I can spend money like there’s no tomorrow. One thing that has helped is ordering my groceries on line for pick up. It’s really curtailed the impulse spending. But first I have to detox off Amazon. I’ll take it one week at a time and challenge my self to keep going. My goal is to put my extra money towards paying off my house in 3-4 years. Fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone trying a no spend period of time.
I’ll do a no spend in January too. I’ve been on a budget but never did a no spend month. I want to pay down a home loan in 2025. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Good tips for sure. I tend not to be success with my no spends but I also haven’t really prepared for them. Thanks for the info and will definitely be adding to my January budget meeting.
This is a fantastic idea and concept.Sometimes I have a lot of food building up in my freezer. This would be a great time to do a NO SPEND. Not only I use up the food, but save some money that month. Thankyou!!
Hello, I am going to start with a no spend week, to get used to that as I am a huge spender. I think it will be easier for me and it will be the best way to stay motivated. All the best from France 🇨🇵 and Happy New Year🎉
I tried to do no spend challenges so many times and I’m typically not successful… hopefully following these guidelines will help me the next time I try
I’m doing a no spend on eating out in December (the exception is for birthday dinners which we have a few this month) after realising how much I’ve been spending in each of the last 4 months.
We are doing our first No Spend month in January due to a medical bill and our escrow going up. With 2 kids that homeschool and a nursing baby, the food budget is our biggest obstacle. We have to drop it to $100 a week, which is fine due to my canning/Winter pantry but my responsibilities make cooking supper difficult and hubby gets home too late to do that (which is why he tends to cook on his one day off).
I especially like to start of the new year doing 1 with 1 exception is Jan1 my hubby side always had Chines Food sine I been with him for the past 30 years and his parents no longer here and sister they passed in under 2 years so I will still buy and carry this forward some say I am breaking the rule of no $$ but can you imagine breaking a tradition on the first day of a new year ? and 2nd month depends if the following going to be a big expense as April is a Hugh 1 year vet bill on 4 dogs and June my son Graduation so save anything I could in May 🥰
How about leaving your credit/debit cards at home? No credit card - no spending! Keep a pre-determined "petty cash" for necessities and don't put items on your credit cards or use your debit cards.
I am doing a no spend year, not a no spend month, but a no spend year. That is going to be very hard to do but I think I can do it. I will not be eating out or buying anything online, in stores. I have to this because if I want to make a movie I can't spend my money on unnecessary things because I have to pay my actors and my film crew. I can't afford a entertainment attorney but what I will do is I will hire a lawyer if I need one hire a lawyer by the hour and that will cost me $550/hr or $1,000/hr depending on the lawyer's experience because I will never make a movie and not hire an entertainment attorney. Another thing I want to do is use artist music in my film now with that I ordered a book online saying how I can do that I will have to contact the record company to ask for permission and pay them and the artist because I don't want any legal issues I don't need any Murphy law's and a lawyer can help me with that so this is why I need to do a no spend year to save for a lawyer.
I don't think I should let people know what I am to do with my money on social media I think I would just write it down on a notebook because when you put your goals on what you are planning to do on social media people could read that and be rolling their eyes. I am going to stop doing that. I just bought a very beautiful notebook from etsy and I am going to write down my thoughts in that very pretty notebook because saying that I am going to do a no spend year on social media and that I am planning on becoming a filmmaker and screenwriter on social media that can cause people to not like me. I think that's what everyone should do just write your plans and thoughts in a notebook that's what my sister did before she passed away from cancer she wrote all her thoughts on a notebookand Anne Frank did that too and that's what I am going to do too.

I like doing a twice-a-year reset- January and July. Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy, and blessed Christmas and New Year!
Twice a year is a great idea! I love that approach.
Good suggestion.
I have never tried. This year will be my first time.
I’ll do a no spend in January too. I’ve been on a budget but never did a no spend month. I want to pay down a home loan in 2025. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
I'm doing a No Spend January. This is great timing. 💖
My no spending came automatically. During my monthes of being unemployed I only spend money on paying my bills and grocery shopping.

I have seen/heard the last 3 videos, but I will have to see them again. Because I have been busy, and I really like to take notes.
I think January 2025 is a great month to have a no spend goal

No, I do not do a no-spend period. Instead I try to control spending in general without being stingy.
