How to make binutong

Binutong is a bicolano delicacy made up of glutinous rice with coconut cream, wrapped in banana leaves. The banana leaves gives a wonderful flavour to the rice. This is often served as breakfast or merienda, and best paired with hot chocolate or coffee.
Ingredients:
3 cups glutinous rice
3 cups coconut cream
2 tsp salt
10-12 pcs young banana leaves (cut into 10x10 inches each)
Water
How to prepare:
1. Wash glutinous rice, then soak in water for about 30 minutes.
2. Remove water, then add the coconut cream and dash of salt.
3. Clean and Soften banana leaves over heat so it wouldn't be stiff and won’t tear up easily when we use it for wrapping
4. Place banana leaf in a bowl, push the centre part to make a basin-like mould, then scoop about half cup of rice mixture, secure the edges to make a pouch, then tie tightly.
5. Place the pouches in a pot with water. Water level should be about halfway to the sides of pouches.
6. Cover and cook for about an hour over medium low heat.
7. Then remove from the pot. Serve warm.

Diba dapat 1 cup of rice is equal 3/4 cup or 1 cup of coconut milk. Ganyan po ang measurement na sinusunod namin sa Donsol

@@mythoughtsandbeyond2 ang ibig kung sabihin kung anu yung measurement nung rice sa isang dahon, dapat equal dun yung gata. . Kung pagsasama samahin mo kasi sa iisang bowl yung 3 cups ng rice tapos gata, hindi mo makukuha yung saktong sukat. May mga finish product dyan na kulang sa gata, meron namng sobra. Ang result nun, pwedeng yung isa medyo salty at yung iba nmn ay hindi.
