- An 8-year-old Texan had the birthday party of his life when a troop of police officers and firefighters helped him celebrate with pizza and cake after no one else showed up. Graham Day's mother, Jennifer, explained this wasn't the first time no one RSVP'd for her son's birthday. A boy who lived next door to me at an apt. He had a party, somehow he didn't invite me. I only realize he was having a bday party. When a classmate asked if I wanted to go to ______ house for cake. When i said, okay and showed. He ran me from the party. So I stood out my door, when my classmate heard I wasn't invited. She and her friend spent time with me.
Somehow mom told his mom what happened. His mom got mad, that he ran me for no reason. I forgave him, and I shaked his hand (i would hug, but I know he ain't sorry for running me)

This happened to my brother. No one showed up to his birthday party. One of the popular kids in his school moved their party up a week so it was on the same day. He had a few friends RSVP, but when no one showed up, he was very upset but couldn't admit it. Luckily, our grandparents were visiting from out of state and made him feel better.
They should be ashamed of themselves it could be their kid going through the same thing what they think they going to catch it it's not a disease the catch sometime adults can be idiots
It happened to me for my 8th birthday party and I got no presents but all I got was a cake

My son just turned 7 years old and no one ever shows up at his birthday parties cuz he has autism it breaks my heart but we make his birthday parties as special as we can every year

I was a flight doctor with Doctor Heli(Japan's flight for life) A kid we had once treated due to a car accident was having a birthday party and nobody came, because he had casts on both his legs (Japan can be disgusting when it comes to bullying ) His mum put out a message about it and I remember that little man's face when Me and my team walked in. Pure joy.

I would have gone to the party. People just don't understand autism. I'll be honest, though...I really didn't understand it til my 21yo son (was 20yo at the time) said that he thought that he may have a form of it. I looked it up & then *lightbulb* our lives made so much more sense. He went for testing & was diagnosed with a type of functional autism. Kudos to the Mom for thinking about calling the departments to help 'rescue' the party. 🚔🚒 Great Job to the firefighters & police officers who took a bit of time out of their day to help this family out!

This happens to me every year. When I was young tons of people came but my 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th and on June 30th 13th birthday, nobody came and nobody will come. It makes me so happy to see someone smiling, so why should I complain?

The same thing happens to a friend of mine, nobody would come to her birthday party because her younger sister has down syndrome and was prone to physically lash out at times. But their parents came up with a brilliant solution, while my friend had her birthday party her father would take the sister with down syndrome to the stables and let her ride a horse- something that she loved. Then both where happy, one got her birthday party and the other got to do her favorite hobby

When my now adult daughter was 7, some of the small town residents thought it was OK to exclude the obese child in the class from birthday parties.
I'm not sure I want to know those girls' attitudes now about obese or other students with differences.
I don't understand this stigma people have of autism. I can only compare it to the stigma that AIDS had in the 80's and 90's

Shame on those parents of the children that didn’t RSVP. If I received an invitation for a birthday party of a classmate, I went wether I was “friends” with them or not. I write “friends” in quotation marks bc I was raised to be polite to EVERYONE in school and everyone was considered friends but I obviously had “friends” that I was closer to. My point being, that if a child goes out of their way to invite another child to their birthday party, the parents should make sure they attend unless there is a reason for them not to be. Those same parents would be devastated for their child had he/she been left out if it was any other child’s birthday party. Perfect example of treat others the way you want to be treated. This truly saddens me bc this could make a child who doesn’t understand the complete situation of having a sibling with autism, resent them for something that is 100% unavoidable.

#2 i don't have autism, and when I turned 10, no one came to my party. so I feel for this kid. But how is this kid suppose to learn that the world is a cruel place?
