This is why I get annoy with ubi. Increase recoil, decrease gadget utility. Reasons why ubi can't buff or nerf ops well.
Especially after buffing Grim by reworking his ability that is basically a Lion scan Tachinka
it's all they know how to do, muh make gun and ability worse and not buff weaker ops that can counter
They nerf somebody like Grim and yet other ops remain the same such as Azami with her pound cannon shotgun.

Especially since IQ gets a nerf in the process. Love how all these op nerfs are against attackers and not defenders lmao.
They introduce several overpowered defenders then nerf an attacker that was finally in a perfect state

So I did the math…
Without rook armor the 552 Commando will 3 shot the 3 health classes with and without the extended barrel.
With rook armor the only difference I found is that with the extended barrel it will kill 2 armors with one less bullet than without the extended barrel.
This data was used on primarily body shots. Because I don’t want to take the time of day shooting arms and legs. This data was also taken without shooting through walls. I don’t feel like testing that.
Either way I’m going to use the Aug on IQ
Prefer the G8 for the very reason that it turns Rook to mulch the fastest.
Also has faster ADS than the AUG when paired with angled grip.
Don't forget the shit tons of ammo.
Only downside is no access to magnified optics...

@@Patches_Gaming Well yeah it's an unranked game so the frost got away with it but normally you wouldn't consider putting a trap in a place like that where any better player will just shoot it for free from the outside
@hachikuji_mayoi : Trust me even better players aren't that smart unless of they drone it out. I put my Frost Mat in even more stupid spots and still got a down or a kill.

Imo i think they want him to lean more into competition for capitao because they're both good in similar situations and they're giving capitao emps too.
they should make a two more modes on the bees, a loop mode where the bee has an arc trajectory so you can send it over things without having to peek and a drill mode where the canister drills through breakable and reinforced surfaces and deploys on the other side like a argus cam

no way, it might seem like a small change but then alot of ops would be able to counter the bees.
Can’t you already shoot the hive or is it just before it activates? Or was it removed but I swear there you could destroy the hives at some point

I was using Commando on both IQ and Grim. As soon as I learned damage nerf I shifted back to AUG for IQ (which I was using it before extended barrel rework).

It became devastating with the extended barrel buff - capable of downing a rook or equivalent in 3 shots.
They nerfed the wrong aspect imo. Should've reduced RoF to match that of the Para and let it keep its high damage.
Oh well, just use the G8 with an angled grip on IQ and cry about Grim's sad state.
They nerfed it because of IQ getting nades btw. Yet she still has the eviscerating G8.

I wouldn't say perfectly fine. The Commando 2 shotting defenders is a little much. Just like the DMR on Tubarao 2 shotting attackers is a little much.
@@VarsityGaming Should've reduced it down to 44 damage then. That way the extended barrel would bring it to 49 and keep its sweet 3 shot capability against plated up 3 armours.
Ubi knew what they were doing when they settled for 43.
I think you can feel the recoil because before the weapon had no recoil and now it goes a bit to the right...
Only thing that annoys me is that they did 2 nerfs at the same time...I want them to be more free with nerfs/buffs...I'd prefer 1 nerf/buff every month than multiple nerf/buffs every 1.5 Months...
So often ubi went overboard because they nerfed/buffed multiple things at the same time

After this 552 nerf, how do you think its effected IQ's ideal loadout? Imo it still feels better than the AUG but i can see some ppl running the G8 on maps where the 1.5x scope isnt as necessary
552 is still way better, i use it all the time with a silencer and it still feels good. now that she had nades aswell she is still a super viable pick
i have no idea why her g8 doesn't have a 1.5
aug has the worst recoil in the game so 552 is still much better
i didnt know they nerfed the damage, that wasnt mentioned in the season patch notes. only the recoil. but it does feel a little more jumpy since i use the commando with iq frequently it still works at least.

I quit this game a long time ago. This game was my obsession for years. I simply got tired of Ubi nerfing everything and it being the gun and recoil pattern every single time. It is such a lazy way to game balance and once every gun and operator is a shadow of itself, the game feels watered down. Look at the original COD MW2 as a prime example of "if everything is OP, nothing is OP" and the game was FUN.

It’s not a nerf it’s a balance it’s still a great gun it’s not a nerf
It used to do 52 damage with the extended barrel.
It could kill 3 Speed operators in 2 shots and kill/down the rest, including 3 Armours with Rook plates, in 3.
Now it's been reduced down to 43 damage, the extended barrel can only achieve 48 damage. I'll let you do the math, but spoiler alert, the weapon isn't hitting the same marks.
All of this happened because IQ got 'nades and Grim happened to be unfortunate enough to share a weapon with IQ.
They should just give Grim a different gun, imo.

@@VarsityGaming I'm pretty sure all matchmaking is a joke right now. Even casual games have scuffed matches. Most games I play someone on one team goes something crazy like 8 and 0. The whole game is a slaughter by one person slandered or otherwise... and then ranked is just hackers
I mean the damage nerf only affects the use of the extended barrel which only affected 1 armors (varsity is wrong about it ever affecting 2 armors). Plus there are only 5 1 armor defenders out of 35 so bringing the extended barrel for the damage was kinda stupid since it only affected 1/7th of the defenders. In regards to the recoil I mean throw a compensator on and it's barely noticeable.

In my opinion it is ok the nerf for the commando because it has the same problem like warden everyone using it because the ops are fast and it has the 1.5 scope. If the gun is OP the operator hab its useless.
