Lisa I been following you for years now and I have always loved your simple budgeting methods no matter what you use. I too love The Budget Mom, I plan to order her budget by paycheck notepad edition because I mainly use her worksheet. When she releases her new workbook this year I’ll order that. Love your channel Lisa. 🎉

I found you a few years ago when you were using the small dotted journal. I was so impressed with how easy you made it. I learned a lot from you. Thanks.

Thats an amazing idea to do a Netflix gift card. I am going to copy that for my streaming subscriptions

There are dozens and dozens of budgeteers on You Tube, but I appreciate your simple setting and normal hand movements. Your doing so well. Keep it up. I hope we get to celebrate your land purchase with you. ☺

For the big savings box, might try the acrylic box with a lock on the back....so you can reuse in the future

I think you're doing fantastically, but would love to see a "fun" or "treat yourself" category for yourself so you don't get burnt out saving everything.

Glad to have found your channel! I love thebudgetmom too. I do most of my budgeting on google sheets these days, though so I can share with my husband.

Becareful with Carol Ann Venno you money the government has a set amount you can get to them and you have to claim as income and you have to pay taxes on it.

@LisaMarieBudgets it is all cash app. I think . You might want to look into it. I made my granddaughter start getting me her phone money.

@@LisaMarieBudgetsZelle will be required to report to irs in 2024. Actually all money apps are required to report by the end of 2024. So if you have received 600 or more for the year you will have to pay taxes on it.

It's only reportable income if it's for goods and services. The IRS states that money you received from friends and family as a gift or repayment for a personal expense should not be reported; they aren't taxable income. They do suggest noting these types of payments as non-business in the payment apps when possible. www.irs.gov/businesses/understanding-your-form-1099-k#personal

Gift limits are pretty generous until taxes kick in. There may be some paperwork involved to sort these out into “personal” and not “business income” but Lisa wouldn’t be paying for taxes on these rent payments.

Great job, Lisa! Our family is also completely debt free except for our mortgage. We are paying extra towards the mortgage every single month.

I can't remember if you plan on paying cash for the house purchase in the future or if it will have a mortgage. But if there's going to be a mortgage, and you haven't checked your credit score in a while, might want to. Unfortunately, being debt-free is not helpful for borrowing for a house. My friend has a paid-for house and car, no credit cards, and well more than $10,000 sitting in a 401k but can't borrow $10,000 because of her credit score. Lenders also look at the mix of credit you have so they can see how responsible you are with paying the bills. Just something to think about.

My credit score is 745. I’m hoping that I don’t have any problems getting alone, but you never know
