Hey everyone! Welcome back! Hope you all enjoy the video on Oniric and how to get started in the plugin! I’ve been Beta testing it for quite some time now and am excited to show you a bit about it. I’ve spent many long nights, doing screen shares and feedback rounds with the developer Mario Olvera and truly stand behind my words here with the plugin. I’ve integrated it into my post production process and within 5 minutes of using it on your photos I’m sure you’ll do the same! As always feedback is great and always appreciated. Let me know what you think!
hi , i have reformatted my pc and tried to reinstall the plugin but it wont work now, i think maybe its registry problem, i have tried removed the plugin and reinstalled but didnt work. do you know how can i completely remove the registry key so i can have a clean reinstall?
So happy to find your channel on here! Great info and super inspirational photos. My buddy Mario is the one who made this plugin and he's got another cool one you'll love in th works right now.
Hi love the video and channel always inspire me to do better :) I am thinking about buying Oniric now you have used this programme for a bit of time now wold you still recommend this programme :)
steven sparkes Definitely! It’s become a part of my workflow at this point and would highly recommend it! At the time of this video I’d been using it for just over a year and love it.
If you want to compare, we can provide you a trial version so you can test it yourself. Lumiere is an amazing and complete software, but Oniric is focused on glows only so the flexibility is very different. Create an account on compositenation.com and let us know vía email ( contact@compositenation.com ) when you have been activated and the we can send you the trial.
I don't think relying on plugins is good at all, personally. However, using plugins as a means to expediting processes and saving production time is simply efficient, and smart.
@@DustinValkema Hey thanks for responding, it definitely seems very time efficient. I'm considering getting the plug in myself, but it's always nice to get different perspectives. I know once I start using this, I'll be addicted and never wanna do blooms and glare's manually ever again lol.
Purchased Oniric about a month ago and I'm not able to install on my Mac. Contacted Oniric looking for help and I get no response so it looks like this application has been abandoned. What a waste of money
min 3:10 There is just new, edit, luminocity, transparancy. But there is no generate? So this tuturial ends after 3mins...you dident explain how to get it look like your interface.
I guess it all depends on what kind of work you do and what the value behind a time saving tool like this really is to your process. You can definitely go about it without the plugin if you know the steps and how to achieve the same results... but that takes more time. As an industry professional I wouldn't mind spending even more on a plugin like this that compliments my process and overall workflow the way this does. It's not for everyone, and that's ok too.
@@DustinValkema I get that and I am sure you get a kick back from this and that's fine, business is business. Just expensive for a singular thing. Take the infinite panel for colour grading. That's the same sort of price but that panel can be used on any photo. This is very much a singular bespoke panel, For only certain jobs.. On the flip side a lower cost will give more sales and ultimately higher revenue as its a complete product with no over heads in terms manufacturing.
Phil D i just want to put it out there... I DID NOT get paid for this, nor am I currently getting a “kick back” it’s just good, solid and powerful. I’ve spent many years doing what I do and see the value in it for my work both personally and professionally. You will NEVER see my do a review or recommend a product here simply for a pay check. I may talk about and review products that I can see useful for others with honest opinions, but not because I’m looking for a cut. I would easily pay double for this tool.... but that’s the value to me. When you do this long enough.. finding shortcuts is a big deal while still maintaining consistency. This helps with that a lot.
119 $ for something you can do in 10 sec by: 1. Duplicate your layer and make it smart object 2. Blur it with gaussian blur 3. Set new layer in screen mode or other additive mode 4. mask region where you want to hide the effect. Just create an Action and you can do this for free in one sec.
Ya know... I've created a TON of actions for many different processes in my retouching and compositing workflow, including ones that are quite similar to the effects we see here. The real value behind the plugin is the speed at which you can create these effects without the need to tweak individual layers, often multiple layers and filters that are used to create the same results. It's definitely not for everyone and not every artist will use the plugin to it's potential, and I'm cool with that. But I'll definitely let you all know when I find a plugin this nice in hopes that some will find it useful. When you're creating, especially professionally... time is money. I have spent much more on tools that enhance my workflow speed and take steps out of the technicalities of tweaking layers and elements. That's not to say that you HAVE to spend the money, which I'm personally quite picky about... but knowing what the value to your process a tool like has can make the decision easier. To some it may be great, others not so much.
I think the program isn't working properly for me. The program simply makes everything that is white glow. The cosplayer's bra, the fur on her wrists, her teeth. That can't be right. Your entire explanation is based on the fact that we have a similar picture to yours and that everything works perfectly. But this is not a good explainer video. What do I do if the program runs amok and just makes everything light up without control? How do I solve problem X, Y, Z etc? In an explainer video you have to show how everything works. You have to offer solutions to problems. Showing samples of things go wrong and how to fix them. But you don't do that in the video. It's annoying that everyone uploads videos these days and doesn't even bother to do it right anymore.

Definitely! There's a lot of stuff you can use it on when you get familiar with how it works :D
I am having problem with Oniric, it crashes Photoshop everytime when i used it, i tried to run as an adminitrator but it doesn't work
this plugin is amazing
very helpful, thank u!!!
My photo made it into the intro!
That's because it's great!
Olá! sou Brasileira! adorei seu canal, uma pena que tenha parado de upar vídeos!!! você e de mais!
I'm curious about how this compares with the plugin Lumiere. It's half the price and looks like it does everything this does.

Is it bad to rely on plug in?

how to set up
regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.9\ add string PlayerDebugMode = 1
Expensive for just a glow plug in
