Best budgets i have seen for upper end living. You have some duplication on the Rock Star budget like $1,500 for food than $1,000 for S&R $3,000 for dating than $400 for girl friend , little high on the tips, won't need gym condo will have it, transportation high most likely will own a car , $1500 for golf i will pass. Keeping these things in mind ,you have done a great job. I think i live like a rock star and my budget is $7,100 per month . I was trying $4,500 a month but could not handle it. My monthly passive income still allows me to save a little every month .

So, I am not taking up golf 😂 also I don’t drink… brings my rockstar budget down a little. Honestly, if I have the budget, I would still spend it, probably on traveling. Staying in one place, especially in a developing country, would get boring and or depressing for me.

Pretty close, I am very happy on 1100/month but spend zero on bars, make most of our food at home vs go out to eat junk food, don’t drink. If I were going to bars … the # goes up a lot. However, I am extremely happy and comfortable. I could spend more if I wanted, but not missing anything. The other budgets make zero sense unless one is a newbie and puking cash, due to ignorance.

Great break down! I keep having a hunch I could do it for 2000/mo. I don't think I would stay under 2K. Good to get the three chunks. Do you recommend moving there before retirement if there's income from the US? I visited walking street and Barreto in Olongapo and thought maybe I should just move over and start acting 65 now at 40 but I didn't really see many foreigners my age.

#1) People who genuinely are cool don't have to go around telling people that they are cool. That's something posers do. I lived in Angeles for a month $2000 USD and you can live quite well. I had a great condo apartment and was not slumming it. Dinner out most nights, plenty of socailizing. I never went into a Girly Bar and have zero interest in "professional" women, but didn't lock myself at home either.

This has got to be the worst break down of living in Angeles or any other place here in the Philippines. First of all, if someone has $179k a year to spend living here most like they don’t live here, they just fly in every now and then and party their asses off. The $58k is more of the rock star lifestyle budget here. And if you’re bring in a monthly income of $1,500 or less and you like to party a lot then you’re going to be highly disappointed because your going to be broke by the end of the month. In my opinion you shouldn’t come here to live if you’re make $2k or less. People here do it but their life’s isn’t anything to brag about.
P.S. This is my 30+ years of my experience here in the Philippines

    Man..
I work a modest job here in the UK, get around £2'200-2'300 a month (GBP)..
Working class average life here in England..
Just checked the exchange, an that would put me on around $170'000 pesos (PHP) a month..
And from a living cost search i just did, thats apparently big baller money there!?..
    I'm amazed!..
If you read my other comment, i would love to start a new life there like yesterday!..
But I'm a full time parent to my 12yr old son here in the UK..
Like the amazing average Filipinas there, unfortunately i was taught that to value family above all too..
So i wouldn't even consider moving until i was sure he was grown and fully stable in his life..
    But one day.. I hope..
Before I'm too much older too, so I'm a young-ish catch and not just an 'old rich guy'..
This is becoming my retirement dream right here!..

So someone's on a "Basic" budget and pays 4400peso for their visa instead of the 2500 it actually costs? They get a "phone plan" for 1,000 instead of 500 peso for load? But only 1600 peso for electric? But $300 for "dating" and $150 for "fun, bars, and golf"? But no electric for 249peso netflix?
If they are so broke they are doing laundry in the CR why would they get a 13,000peso apartment when multiple bloggers have shown 4,500-8500 peso 1 and 2 bedroom apartments?
And not a penny for clothes, other utilities, drinking water, etc?
I know this video is really only tongue in cheek, but still.
And $30 for "high speed internet"?? 1,500 peso for "Rockstar" internet??

That $600 for food in a healthy (average?) lifestyle seems excessive. I don’t know if I spend that much in the States. Same with $1500 for dating (unless we’re defining “dating” with a wink.)
Unless one’s goal is to meet a *lot* of ladies - which I suppose is a lot of the point of going to AC - it seems like $3K, which is said to be low-end wealthy in the Philippines, is enough to live “healthy”.
All of that said, I do appreciate the hard work you put into this and all your other videos.

to pend 15k per month you would have to have a job that pays 225K per year pre tax. That kind of money is Rich in just about anywhere in the U.S I suspect that amount was put on the board to generate comments lol

Absolutely the WORST budget video I have ever seen. $15k per month in the Philippines??? LOL! I am not a bachelor but have a family of three and live a life that I could only dream of in the states for a little over $3K per month. Made way over six figures a year for over 20 years in the states and live a way better here on retirement and want for nothing. Things must be way different in Luzon vs Negros Oriental. I guess if your goal is to tap every working girl in Angeles City, drink Johnny Walker blue everyday, have 3 gourmet meals a day and live in the best penthouse around it could be done. However, I think $7K a month would get you the same thing not $15K.

All these loosers are just making videos to try to find a way to stay there. I been there to AC 11x, When I do move there, AC will be the last place I would want to live. Dumaguete or anywhere away from the tourists area will be more affordable. Lot of these people go there broke or close to it and do not want to leave, so here comes the the videos to try and make money to stay there. Plain and simple, you need money to stay , just like any other place, the more the better. AC (Angeles City) is a shell of what it use to be compared to early 2000's from when I started going. At 1 time, Central park hotel was $25 a night, now over $60. Mo's great pool parties ($5 to get in) (have music, food and drinks all day) where everyone is naked running around and long gone (no better way to spend your saturdays). Now there is crap like score hotel pageants. (even the doll house pool parties top of there hotel across the street was better)

Great, go to a bar every day and have three beers a day, just enough to get you to alcoholism a bit sooner. To do what? Sit outside and stare at people walking by? Is that a real life? I don’t think so. I think these guys are really screwed up. It seems that the more money you’ve got, this guy thinks that all you want to do is to go to bars? I hate to correct him on this, but people with that much money are not going to spend that much in bars. How do you think we got that much to spend in the first place? It wasn’t from wasting it on bars, or prostitutes. If this is the main reason people move to these countries, then it’s sad.

If you are taking home 180K a year, you are in the top tier of men. That is $350-400K a year gross. You're an exceedingly rare man. As a general rule, they are very disciplined and not prone to the behaviors listed here. If you have FU money, there is no need to pay. You likely dress and behave the part. You will naturally attract high end women, who will offer it up at zero cost, hoping to lock you down. You are laying lumber to young, beautiful serious professional women, like doctors, lawyers, models, etc. You wont be living in Angeles City pissing away money on bar girls. As the old saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted.
