Brine Shrimp Direct's Brine Shrimp Hatchery Dish is probably the easiest to use hatchery on the market today. The unique design keeps all the unhatched eggs and shells in the outer ring, while the hatched shrimp will seek out the light and swim to the open center section, making harvesting easy, fast, and clean. The shallow dish allows for natural separation where the inner ring keeps the unwanted eggs and shells from making their way to the center. In most cases, it will only take 24 hours for the brine shrimp to hatch, at which point they can be fed directly to your aquarium or placed in another vessel for gut-loading with spirulina or paracoccus powders.

Thank you! Wow, that's so simple. I just bought one. I have a new betta that I've had for 8 days now who doesn't like any of the food I try to feed her, even frozen brine. So I'm hoping she will eat these.

Nowhere can I find information on what the best water level should be in the hatchery. I am guessing enough water to keep the white strainer in the center submerged so shrimp can swim into it. I am guessing that it should be filled to the level that the inner walls are not covered by water. I'd appreciate some clarification on this, as I'm sure everyone else would too. There is a fill line, but it would be very helpful if this was mentioned.

Hi Reefer, just got this hatchery and super excited to try it. I have a question about the brine shrimp eggs in general. After you open a container of brine shrimp eggs, how long can you store the eggs? I want to purchase a container of brine shrimp eggs but I am not planning on doing a spawn for about 3 months from now. Wondering if it will be a bad idea to open the container and test this hatchery now because then the eggs will be sitting in the opened container for months until I need them... maybe this affects the freshness? Thanks for any advice.

Use a small amount of cysts to test with. Store the rest of the eggs in your refrigerator. I also would not buy them until you are ready. They will hatch for you.

I've used this one, it smells really bad once they start hatching and is no where near as efficient as just making your own bottle bubbler. I have a video on it early on something like "hatching brine shrimp easy" referring to my discus lol. Looking forward to your next quest :-)
