I sure hope that Micha had a wonderful first day of school. I think it is absolutely wonderful that he is able to receive 1 month of school to "get his feet wet" before next year starts!
I'm not sure if you remember, but I work on a special ed school bus and my elementary students are all in the multi-grade class. Kinder-2nd in 1 class. First off, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the teacher and aids in that class. There is 1 main teacher and 5 aids. I get to chitty chat with them everyday and get updates on all of my babies. It helps to be consistent and use the same vernaculars and techniques. I also praise them for their acheivements and help remind and reiterate skills they are working on. Seeing the students in this class, it is obvious that there is a HUGE degree of levels of these students. It is awesome to see how the aids are able to work with small groups and work with each student, and meet their needs. Obviously, some students require constant attention while others are self motivated and can do some work independently. I am guessing that they "ability group." All of my babies seem very happy and each of their parents are very happy as well. The teacher and aids come and get my babies each morning (and bring them to us in the afternoon) and without fail, they are very happy and very eager to work with them. I have a great relationship with all of my parents and all of the feedback have been super positive.
Eventhough my middle daughter was a SPED student, she is now graduated and they did not have this program when she was in kinder.

I'm sending you happy kids in school vibes and happy puppy vibes today!! My boyfriend and I just brought home a kitten so I know how exciting that is :). I hope you enjoy your mornings alone this week crafting or diamond painting or whatever will make you happy because you deserve it after your busy week last week! I hope micah loves his new preschool program! I may only be 21 and not have any children (besides my fur babies) but I love hearing about your kids life! I think I might be similar to you in the way that I think I lean kind of autistic, so I love hearing about yo and your kiddos and being able to relate to your guys! Thanks for all your videos. I'm glad your finger finally started getting better after the wine glass. I'm so sorry to hear about Tennant, how did he pass? (another huge dr who fan here, I'm so excited david tennant is back as the doctor this year.) we lost our dog not to long ago, he was only 6. we made the mistake of getting a new puppy to soon and he's been the dog version of a tiny tornado. I'd forgotten how much work puppy's were lol.🐕

And I’m so sorry about the loss of your first dog; I grew up with a golden retriever, and dogs really do become members of the family, and losing them is incredibly difficult, especially in unexpected or tragic circumstances ❤️
Last thing, I promise! I also really enjoyed Jessica’s most recent #summerwiththemasters video! I’m not always drawn to certain styles of artwork, but I loved Lesbia and Her Sparrow (all the purple!) enough that I can see myself getting a custom of her!

Woman in Gold is available on Diamond Dotz.com. I briefly considered purchasing it and saw it on there.
I went to the Craftibly store on Friday. I was already planning to be in the area, when serendipitously they announced a 30% sale. I decided to take advantage of the sale and bought one of their Christmas kits. I was with my parents and my father even ended up buying himself a diamond painting.
I got a notice on Thursday that my drills from Cooper Diamond Art are on their way. The post office hasn't received them yet. I hope I get them this week because I want to start working on my Crown Jewel canvas next. 🐶

I actually bought the woman in gold directly from diamond dotz less than a week ago. They ship to US and Canada and the shipping if very fast. I received my kit in 3 days and it shipped from Cyprus. I bought it for the masters event but I think I will do a smaller Van Gogh canvas from DAC first

I know someone mentioned it below but you can order from Diamond Dotz website. I got Lady in Gold and The Kiss recently. They ship from Cyprus however it was free shipping and I believe I got them within a week of ordering!
I want to mention that I am an IEP mom and my son is graduating from high school in June. It has been a long haul and school is not for him but he has been taken care of by some really good people along the way that cared about his school experience. It really never gets easy when your child is different from “ the norm” but I learned to be a really good advocate for my son and let go of how I experienced my school years and what I did. I focused on raising on a kind person instead of worrying about his grades and future. Hope today went well for all of you!

But I miss my dog 🐕 She is living with my grandma, we kind of accidentally gave her away, it’s complicated but she has become a therapy dog for my grandma and with Covid we haven’t been able to go visit. I am an Enneagram 9. I also like to use personality tests to explain how I function. Not necessarily use it as a crutch.
So, I’m watching this 6 months after you posted, but I’ve got my eye on 2 Josephine Wall kits on DAC’s site. It’s her Sagittarius and Virgo kits. It’s mine and my husband’s signs. Not that I put a whole lot of stock into that, but it’s fun for me to just look at.

I hope Micah’s first day of preschool went off as smoothly as possible!!! I hope both Mom (you) and Micah shed only a few tears & that all in all, it was a positive experience for everyone. I will admit that i cried all of the way home from dropping off my daughter when she left for college. And that was 14 years ago!!!!! She is now 10 years post-graduation!!!! Sending love & hugs for all of you!!!! 🐶🐶🐶
Aww! Gosh, college dropoffs are SUPER emotional, at least from my perspective as a former college student. Micah (and I!) did pretty well this morning, and I'm hoping it continues to go smoothly 💛
Our district has multi-grade SPED classrooms. I sub at one elementary that is K-5th grade. I believe each grade has a para that helps with solely with those kids, and there is 1 main SPED teacher over all of them. We have 2 classes with 10 kids in each class. What I have seen has been very impressive as far as how the kids are being taught and helped In Their own individual ways. Our SPED teachers are amazing people that work so hard to help their students.

I have been where you are in your children’s lives over 50 year’s ago. Back then they were diagnosing all over the place. 50 years later my son has a beautiful wife and 18 year old daughter. He currently is in charge of a maintenance garage. There is a light at the end of the tunnel

I’m not a teacher or a parent but I nannied a boy who was in a similar classroom situation (with multiple grades in one classroom) and he loved it so much, he was clearly thriving in this unique situation!!!! ❤️ Hope this helps!!

🐕 🐕 Working on Horses Red Barn (89x51) by Susan Winget. Almost completed. I went through the very same situation with IEP and the multi grade classroom. If I were to do that again I would not choose that same way. Live and learn. If you like the teacher give it a try but I do suggest after the "honeymoon" period is past, go look into the class to see how your child is doing.

My son had the multiples grades in one Intervention specialist classroom from K to 6th. Next year they want to mainstream him in a few classes. The only reason we kept him in this format was due to behavior.

Hi, I'd like to ask your opinion on the color of drills. I have a lot of bad drills and got sent replacements but none of them are the same shade of color as the ones I have or the ones on the canvas. Do you think I should mix the two shades together, use the bad ones or use just the new ones? I'd appreciate any advice on this because I don't know how the difference in the colors will affect the final look.
Hi Angela - that's really hard to say. If they're too different from one another, I would try to avoid having them right next to each other. If the piece has a lot of confetti, the difference might not be noticeable. You could also pick off the old drills you've already placed, and put down the new ones there to replace them. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful!
I didn't know it would retain the stickiness needed to hold a new set of drills.
Dogs are awesome, especially golden retrievers, but I'd suggest that you don't get one of them if you don't want the hair! My parents have the most wonderful golden retriever, he's an absolute star. But my mum literally hoovers every single day and it's an absolute nightmare for keeping the house clean! Oh goodness, the hair on golden retrievers! We had one when I was growing up and she was such a sweetie, but my goodness, the fur that was everywhere!

Sooooo for the enneagram (spelling?!), do you have to pay to take the test? This person introduced me to another person who said I can take the test from him and pay him $80 for the results? Is that typical? Tell meeeee.I hope all is well with school!
The official Enneagram test costs actual money, yeeeeah. There are unofficial tests that work decently well, but the super-intense Enneagram people will tell you that you need to read about each type and spend lots of time pondering and soul-searching to discover what your type is 🤣
