    A rose by any other name ..... fanny packs, pedal pushers, leggings, and see thru clothes. Been there, done that. No thanks on bringing any of those back. Instead, let's have classy structured handbags, nice trousers, and subtle fabrics for blouses. In other words, classics that real live women will wear.

      I just watched Giorgio Armani spring full show, 2024, showing beautiful classics but so gorgeous. The color blue portrayed in beautiful purses and outfits. I watched it twice as it destresses me. Ha!

      I love wearing leggings and fanny packs. Occasionaly I wear (partly) sheer tops. It all just depends how you style it. I have tried nice trousers but don't feel good in them, makes me feel a lot older... It's good the runnway has inspiration for everyone.

      I forgot that Americans call those small belted bags 'fanny packs.' In Australia, we've always called those 'bum bags.' The only time I used one was when travelling around Europe in the early 1990s. We used the bum bags at the front of the belt or slightly to the side for quick access to cash, cards and anything we thought we'd need to fish out quickly.
      We also donned a flat, cotton, underclothes bag for super important documents like our passports and tickets. It was a bit hot to wear this second hidden bag but at least we had what we needed on us at all times.

      Enjoy!!!🤔💭Always thought CLAMDIGGERS are these slim fitting &/or tapered trouser (pictured here) that ends at or just passed the knee. They tend to be in a thicker fabric like a denim, chino, or poplin. Picture youthful 🎬Gidget rollicking around the shoreline 🌊. Walking on the edge of the breaking surf to dig for clams or collect shells🐚.
      😘CAPRI PANTS on the other hand are luxe, sophisticated 🍹Italian Resort Wear inspired by the Amalfi Coast 🏖. Think of a straight, but typically loose silhouette in a fabric that's soft & light as air. ✂️They're cut to hit at the bottom of your calf muscle where your leg thins out (vs the ankle or horrors mid-calf😖). They are a cropped pant designed to show of the region's beautiful custom made sandals🩴.
      😡Loathe the former & 🥰love the latter on MYSELF. ☀️When things heat up🥵, I HATE form-fitting trousers unless it's a discreet bike short 🚲 hidden under a flouncy, wrap, or split skirt. 😉Prefer flowy pieces over highly structured garments when the temp's rise🌡. Plus, emphasizing my wide hips & curvy thighs are the last ⬇️ thing on my list☹️.

    I wear clothes that make me look and feel amazing. I don't follow fashion "rules" and trends. I let a full length mirror decide whether the look is right for me. I only buy local and support women owned businesses.

      @loverlyme 9 місяців тому

      I only buy local and support women too! I'm referring to myself, of course! It's easier to do this and customise items for my body. Otherwise it's an added expense to have garments altered by a tailor. I'm so not into fashion though and never have been. I came here just to see what someone else thought was on trend. I'm happy to let go of it now.

      @@loverlyme My issue with these videos is it's one person's opinion on what is trendy or not. There are "fashion" videos where I watch some of it and move on and some where I watch it from beginning to end. I then decide what will work and not work in my wardrobe.

Your advice has stood the test of time. This has been the problem all along. We have all been so programmed to wear the right clothes look 👀 the right way so we’re accepted. Women especially stop telling other women what to wear or how to look. It is not important anymore. We are here to love and support respect each other. It is not important and certainly doesn’t matter. Love is all that we are. Souls be comfortable in what feels good to you. Remember don’t fall back into the traps of being like everyone else. U are a unique as a Being of Light! Send Love to yourself and everyone else!😘💙💙

      I agree. I wear what makes me look and feel amazing. I don't follow style "rules" and trends. I don't subscribe to any You Tube channels. I love fashion and I watch these videos to get ideas - I decide whether I will incorporate them or not.

    • @teresacarle294
      @teresacarle294 9 місяців тому +3

      😊Yes. We do need to be supportive of our sisters👍. ✨️Plus, it is important to wear what makes us feel our best✨️. Something that suits our personality, body shape, climate, & lifestyle.
      Still, I always enjoy 👁👁seeing "What's Hot🔥 & What's Not😬! It gives me a fresh outlook & structure to 🛒 shop my own closet. 🔄Things that I can rotate in & out for the next season. Always appreciate the extra 🪄 inspo to look at my wardrobe in a new way.
      😉Even small tweaks can add pep to your step. Swapping an accessory, color, or cut can make you look & feel more current &/or modern. Plus, it can be just the incentive you need to draw out something you love🤍, but that you've been neglecting. It's easy to fall in a style rut. Sometimes we need to challenge ourselves to try a different fashion formula.

      I started with the Lululemon to take on vacation because my passport could be kept next to my body. I used it for 2 weeks in Australia and New Zealand. I will be using it on a cruise this week. I bought Sipsey Wilder for every day. I had a total spine fusion many years ago and gravity and age plus crossbody were pulling me forward. There is a solution to everything out there.

    First of all, your hair looks gorgeous in this video! 😍 I bought a red leather Rebecca Minkoff belt bag a couple of years ago and have been enjoying using it lately. Not only is it a convenient way to carry my essentials hands-free but the red adds a pop of color to my usually neutral outfits.
    I hope that the "capris" that are coming back are actually clamdiggers or pedal pushers because I think the length that hits right below the knee is much more flattering on most women than something that hits mid-calf.
    I have been using and enjoying belts for a couple of years and now I prefer the look as it gives my outfit a more "finished" look.
    As far as metallics go, being cool-toned, I lean more towards silver, although I can wear gold, as long as it's more of a champagne and not too yellow.
    Great video, as always! ❤

    I wore leggings with stirrups when I was a kid. Way back in the 1960’s. And I don’t think I want to wear them now that I’m in my 60’s. I still have what we called Fanny packs in my closet. I had a nylon one, my husband had a leather one. Those don’t look as long as capris. They look like pedal pushers. Which I also wore as a kid. When will designers come up with something new and different. Instead of things that just keep coming around. I will wear my crossbody bag. And I do wear leggings around my house. But m husband informed me he doesn’t think leggings are pants. What’s funny is that’s all his mother ever wore. He never said anything to her.

    Love your hair! Thanks for the 2024 look ahead! Capri below knee might work for me. Hem at calf, widest part is the worst?

    Polar opposites has always been my style .I love it.
    Leggings dont go with my body type but i found flair bottoms go better with my shape.
    Funny, i just bought a navy suit. But it's like a dark denim twill.
    Great video. Thank you 😊

      Love the wide pants too, it's tiresome to see leggings all over town.

    I like leggings, but I only wear them with my knee high boots so they're only for cooler months for me. They just fit better inside boots than bulky pants.

    I'm happy to see capris back. I don't know why people think they aren't flattering, because I think they are much more flattering than those horrible crop pants, especially wide crop pants that have been popular lately. I wear capris instead of shorts as an older lady with heavier legs, and am thrilled they are coming back.

    I'm loving these options with the exception of leggings. I agree with you 💯

    I began wearing the sweater around my neck and realized I like my neck warm. Hopefully it'll stay in style for a while because I love the effect! And HA! I knew capri's were right around the corner!

    Did I see stirrup pants? Omg 3rd time to come back. As a little girl I wore them then in the 80s ! Today’s fashion is just all over the place.

    No leggins, no capri pants, no corset lacing, no belt bags worn across your body. Maybe I'll go back to pencil skirts.

    I’m saying the bigger bellbottoms coming back. Lol I was at teenager when we wore a hip hugger bellbottoms with a little tiny tops.

    A belt bag is a fanny pack turned sideways. Way to look old according to fashionistas. Now it isn't???
