I’ve had my GeoChron for over 2 years. I initially bought it because I thought it looked cool, but I actually use it almost every time I’m on the radio. I’m anxiously waiting for the app so I can use my iPhone to change/select maps.
Just set mine up on Sunday! It’s awesome! Initially purchased the ham package but later realized it’s best to do the all inclusive package annually. It really makes me look like I know what I’m doing when you glance into my shack.😂

I have had mine for at least 2 years, and it is pretty cool, but i have not been able to get the zoom feature to work so i must need a update for the program. But i do like the product.

I wish they had a pure software version at half the price. I really don't need more hardware sitting around here.

I agree. It also seems like a waste of electricity to have a TV on all the time. They’d sell a lot with a Mac & PC version, especially if it could be a screensaver too.
A simple HDMI stick, that's ridiculously expensive.
I would love to have one, but not at $500. That's insane to me. Not to mention buying or using an existing 4k TV to run it as a dedicated device. No thanks.

I love my Geo 4K but in my opinion the mini PC needs to be a better performer, as it locks up / freezers and a lot of users WW are seeing the same issues, I also have a HAM CLOCK on a PI 4 to run fantastic, I do love my GEO 4K
Mine has the exact same issue, but it does it specifically any time I run the ISS live feed. I can turn everything off, and the ISS feed still freezes and breaks. I got the Geochron for two reasons, the Ham bunble and the ISS live feed, and one of them doesn't really work. Sucks.
@@Durang0318 Yes I run minimal items now and I paid for the full options pack waste of money for a device that's not capable of doing so, i even added an external fan to try and stop the overheating of the unit, OOh i run it in 4k on a 43 inch TV as the monitor
That is all some ! lots of data ! no wounder why 4K . not only does space weather effect radio/TV even storm systems cold/warm fronts effect HAM radio as well. many people can use this. way more than just HAM radio. 4K in the HAM shack ! I got 4K on my 17 in laptop when I POTA . I can bring 2 laptops and run the Atlas 4K on one. nice way to go camping . I got 4K projector and big screen. this will look great at night ! . some times I bring 2 laptops so I can multi screen. and multi task ! this is on my wish list ! 73's
$480?? That seems a bit pricey, certainly for me anyway. My .02 is to lower the price point and get much deeper market penetration...
