@@melvincrowther7666 I can fish no more that 300yrd in one fleet if i fish more they have to be 300m apart ,and to be fair 300yrds is more than enought as it's a lot of weight to pull over the 3/4 of a mile of beach. And would'nt have the time to clean all the gear.
Fantastic videos , no keyborads or play stations out there . Is it the case of different mesh sizes for different species, ? Are there regulations and were might you find them ? I've always run a sand line once or twice a Yr ,it's the hunter gather in us Thanks for your vids
Hi, Nigel thank you for your kind and surrporting words. Yes your rite,The bigger the mesh the bigger the fish your targeting. This time of the year the Dover soles are going to start to move in shore as the weather warms up. I will fish with 5.5" mesh. Where as the will trammel net in the latest video with catch big fish and sole, plaice, ect and will catch ray, turbot due to the outter mesh size being 32"with 5.5"inner netting then 32"mesh on the other side of the net. I'm putting the nets out in the next few weeks so there will be more video being put. I eat fish 2/3 a week so theres no waste. If there anything els you would like to know just do a comment and i will get back to you.
Were about is that you fishing not he Mark just the area ......looks like we're I used to do that is it North West ........ Prob not as you get turbo prob down south or East 🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🐙🐚🦀🐳

@DavidHodkinson-ps1cb I've had some nice turbot up here. Had a nice one on the last set of tides. I'll upload the video when I get a minute 😄. Thanks for watching.
Flatty city....nice one mate

Hi Francis, thank you for your kind words glad you enjoyed this one. Take a look at my other videos there are more like this on the channal.
Love the way you put unwanted fish back nice one bud
anyone else wouldve edited that bit...😆
That's a scary fast tide, by the time you go to the end of your net you were walking seems a long way to throw back the rejected ones.
Do you get pestered by the sea fisherys?
Hi Melvin, no not really they sometimes look over the gear i'm fishing with and check the catch other time just come for a chat.
@@nwcoastalfishing how Manny nets are you allowed and is there a closed season there?

Seems to be a lot of dead fish thrown away. Is this necessary, are you not allowed to use these yourself.
Only saw one dead dog fish all other fish thrown back alive ......
Where do you buy your trammel nets
I buy the sheet netting and stich them my self.
