- This is how to Fix the Pictures in Gallery not showing and Displaying Exclamation problem or exclamation mark on photos Samsung that happens on Samsung Galaxy Smartphone or Android phones.
This issue happens at random where multiple pictures in Gallery show a preview but when clicked to display fully show a grey background with a While Exclamation within a circle.

@Tevin Aponsu No. Just ended up formatting the SD card and lost everything.
He didn't have the problem from first place it was a screen shot saved in his gallery to show us how the problem looks like.

I do all what u said in video. Facing same problem but no solve.
I found the fix, sort of, at least in my device (s20 fe 128gb). I put 256gb micro sd card in it, every pictures and videos are greyed out with exclamation mark (but the files are fine when I plug it in to computer, in fact the memory card is fine, I put it in camera, cctv, car headunit; my micro sd card is not the problem). So I tried to mess around with size, I got 32 gb, 64gb, and 512gb micro sd cards, the 32 and 64gb cards work just fine with the same exact files (it can display images and videos properly in my s20 fe), but this is interesting, the 512gb card has the same problem with my 256gb card (keep in mind I use the same exact micro sd card brand and type here). It makes me draw a conclusion that a micro sd card larger than your internal storage will cause some bugs/problems. I could be wrong, but putting a smaller micro sd card size works for me. I have the same theory about the cause of the problem: large capacity Micro SD cards may be the the reason.
@@locyentam This was my problem , I tried buying a 64gb instead and it works perfectly fine , it doesn't corrupt the file like how my 256gb does

It's even simpler than that what you do is move your pictures to another folder Your camera folder is at Max capacity most likely just move the pictures to another photo folder you create Your camera folder is at Max capacity most likely just move the pictures to another photo folder you create M problem solved I had the same problem lost a year of photos Because Samsung told me to factory restart And all it was just Folder was maximum capacity doesn't matter how Space you have on your device it's just Max capacity 1500 photos Or something like that

Brother please help i have approx 240 photos which shows the same exclamation pattern as shown in the video...i did everything the vide says...i even moved the pics to another folder its still showing the same way...what to do please help those photos are of my great grand parents who are no more 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Hey, so I have the same phone that you are using here and my sd card keeps saying that my sd card is set to read only and that I need to back it up. I watched a UA-cam video that told me to force stop system ui. I did that and now I can't movie my images the the albums in my phone.
I have albums for school and like my family and stuff that are saved on the sd card
So now its telling me that I cant move my images to these albums...

I had a bunch of images in my secure folder that I restored to back up and they're all corrupted like this showing only 8 bytes of data.
My sd card photos are crashed with exclamation mark, full gray coloured and green,yellow lines. But the sizes of photos are fine (in the details). Some photos are showing but quality is dropped. I could not repair that.. please help me

I just got this new S9 Samsung phone two months ago. Already there's a weird gray picture color with an exclamation mark icon on it that I didn't take.

I found this out myself, when in gallery click the 3 dots top right corner then click settings. From there click sync with one drive and then turn it straight back off then check gallery, all images that were unable to be deleted beforehand will be gone.
This worked just now for me and i had 16 images from 2019 i couldn't delete. If this doesn't work for you don't reply saying fake, this just worked for me and i wanted to share this to everyone because if it does work for people then happy days 🙂💙

the best way to fix the issue is to restart your device after clearing the memory cache on your phone , the images should reappear after your restart but it may take a few mins as in would need to open and close the gallery app before opening it again. afterwards your images will be there without the exclamation mark on them

@@Sc00by-d008 reopen the gallery app once and scroll through to double check to see if they are really gone and then close the app and then reopen it again and then it should be there.
I did exactly what I said on my end when my whatsapp images disappeared and i got my images back so it should work for regardless of what images they are .
usually when an images becomes an exclamation mark its usually due to a system glitch , the solution i gave is one of the most common ones so should work. if it doesnt try and find your backup drive to redownload those pictures cause if your phone is set to auto sync then images should be attached to a drive or backed up. is your phone an android or ios?

After I posted original message, and went back to the pics, they were gone. I was so frustrated that I haven't looked at the sd card again, yet. I am still waiting to hear recommendations for the cleaner.
