Cracking spot mate 👌🏻 love the bobcat but I'm too tall for it lol. Laughed at the beer panic haha. Steak looked fantastic too. Sandhoppers are a pain in the ass lol. Good camp! Nice and chilled 👍🏻 atb
@@CraigLinton. cheers mate. I like that pitch, ticks all the boxes for me. Aye, the Bobcat is good, if you’re a short arse like me 😂 Hopefully returning to Loch Eck for my next camp.
Been thinking the same. Last winter was hard too to get into a camping rhythm. Anything north of Loch Lomond for me means I need to be leaving my house probably 9am latest so can’t really do any work on that day then with summit camping I’ve got try and wait for the day light too so really it means now I’m needing 2 clear days. Hopefully get a few low level camps though. Honestly can’t stand this time of year for the darkness. Cracking video Fraser, lovely wee spot.
@@Moffatmountainadventures cheers Robert. I’ll try and wangle something. I’m not fussy where I camp 😂 The hot tent tends to be car based or a short hike, slightly further if using the bike. Want to do some cold camps with the 1 man tents. It’s the weather too, didn’t get many clear crisp days last season, mostly wet or windy …. Or both. I do winter standby so loose a week (sometimes two) a month. Although this camp was an hours drive, it’s still my local area 😂. I can work from home, so maybe work from a tent 😂 Just need one of those solar generator things to run the laptop. 😂
Aye, it’s a nightmare. I like to enjoy my surroundings, so seeking it in daylight would help 😂 Just have to see what I can do to get out and get some light at one end of the day - might have to take half days off work. Weekends are mostly family time.
It’s a bit restrictive due to the angle of back wall, but manageable for me. If you make sure you’re as far forward to the front wall I don’t think it’s a problem. For me it’s not a summer tent, as the midges are brutal if there’s no wind. Wouldn’t like be stuck in the restricted inner for any time other than sleeping. I know people have modified the outer with additional tie out points to stop inner and outer touching , but I’ve not had this problem…..yet. Not suffered any dampness so far. Try and see one before purchasing, I got mine for £45 so didn’t mind the gamble. Thanks for watching. 👍
Smashing camp Fraser. A great choice of beer there 👌. Definitely looked a cosy setup, it’s just a pity the dark nights have closed in. I’m hoping you still get out during the winter 👍
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors cheers mate. The dark nights are a sure sign winter is upon us. Will try get out as much as I can. If I’m working in rural areas I could take my gear and clock out from there, less pm travel and maybe a pitch in the last of the light…..will see. Try and keep the weekends for family time, maybe a hike.
@@Darvoutdoors it states 90 minutes, that’s the whole log. Can’t remember the exact time but I cut it into about 4 bits and just fed the stove, so it stretches out the burn time to at least double. It’s also a good base if you want to add some wood to it. 👍
@@Darvoutdoors it puts out some smoke too. Handy for the summer when you’re not needing a heat but will smoke the midges away 😂. Good to hear how you get on.

Great camping lad. Its getting depressing this time of year with the long dark nights and having to leave hours earlier now

Nice one 😊 was thinking of getting this tent so much but ive heard from a few people the back sags on your face and causes dampness ?? 🤔

How long will a fire log last in the Burner
