Good evening! I'd like to say a very big thank you to everybody for 1,800 subscribers! It means a lot to hear you're enjoying the videos :) Now for some bonus info on Beau Nash's 'polite society', which we talk about around 21:36: In Nash's time as Master of Ceremonies, he banned men carrying swords in Bath (revolutionary for the time), duelling, and required all establishments to close and parties to finish by 11pm. This reduced the raucous nightlife of Bath from the early 18th century, making it the epitome of 'polite society'.
Bath is absolutely beautiful...I must visit 1 day. I must put it on my bucket list.... Beautiful weather and Fabulous Filming...Thanks 👍✅ for taking us on this lovely walk with you....
It certainly is a beautiful city - one of the most gorgeous in all of England, and certainly one to visit whenever you get the chance :) Thank you so much for watching too - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
This is absolutely MARVELOUS!!! I've been to Bath, it was way back in the 1980s for an afternoon, and remembered only the Roman Baths. This video is really very thorough and detailed and brought back some memories of the day there. Fortunately for us, this summer I will be using your video as a guide to take the walk with my sister and her husband, my husband and my son through this "posh" part of Bath. Thank you ever so much for compiling it and the history you share.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear that you enjoy these virtual walks - but as you say nothing quite beats visiting a city like Bath for yourself! I hope this video gives you some info and history which might make your visit to Bath even more interesting :) Thank you very much for watching!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video - Bath is as magnificent as city architecture gets in the UK, with its Roman origins without doubt a part of that riveting story :)
Another Splendid walking tour of a most Regal City that my late Sister and I visited several times in the mid 90s. each time we stayed in a splendid hotel in the Centre of the ‘Royal Crescent’ I recall it was the only hotel that had a large green flowering bush growing at the side of the entrance, I wonder if that is still there! I recognised many of the main attractions you mentioned in your very informative commentary, if only I could walk now as I did back then! thank you 🙏 again for a remarkable trip back in time, Cheers 🥂
Thank you for your lovely replies, yes we felt like Royalty every visit we made, it was curtesy of my sisters very generous husband that we were able to make those remarkable visits to such a Regal town like ‘Bath’ and stay in such a famous place as the ‘Royal Crescent’ my memories are so precious to me as I lost my dear sister two years ago, her husband still survives age 91! looking forward to more walking tours from the comfort of my arm chair, thanking you once again🤗👋
A very well described video indeed. I have never seen such beautiful buildings in one city like here in Bath. It's been such a marvellous film of historic interest to watch. Many thanks for the upload.
Bath is indeed one of the most beautiful cities in England - and the history is absolutely magnificent :) Jane Austen is without doubt a famous resident of Bath, and there are a number of other places in England's southwest where she left her mark over the years - so the whole region is well worth the visit too! Thank you so much for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
It certainly is! Every corner in Bath is home to a new story, and it looks absolutely spectacular when the sun is shining - there are few places prettier in Britain :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Excellent video - at last I've been able to see what Bath is actually like. I went on a coach trip there some years ago but the driver got lost on the way (yes, really) so we ended up with about an hour in Bath and I was only able to see a small part of it - mainly the shopping centre. I've always regretted it but now I can at least through your video I've been able to see more of it. Thank you
Oh no! That's such a shame to hear - Bath is a spectacular city and well worth a long stroll around if you get the chance in the future :) I'm really glad you enjoyed the walk around the city this way though - there's a lot to see! Thank you so much for watching!
I decided to visit Bath, courtesy of your video ! The picture clarity is remarkable, bringing out the details of the stone so well. It must be thirty years since I went there and I have very strong memories of the Abbey, the baths, the Pump Room and the costume museum. Thank you for another splendid tour 👏👏. I’m still deciding n my next tour ...
That's so wonderful to hear - I'm so glad that this video inspired you to return to Bath, it's such a gorgeous city and, though it certainly hasn't changed much in the last 30 years - if at all - in recent years, that's its very charm :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, and I hope you have a great time wherever you may visit next...
Thank you so much! That means so much to hear, all of Bath, York and Haworth have a distinctly English charm, and there really are few places in the world which have the same kind of appeal :) I hope you get the chance to visit them one day in the future, and that this video was a nice taster of what you can expect from a trip there! Thank you so much for watching and for your very kind words - it's really made my day :)
It certainly is! A beautiful city full of gorgeous architecture and a lovely atmosphere :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Bath is nice town. I enjoyed it. Can't wait to see more soon. Very beautiful and historical the medieval town of Bath is. Your history lessons are always great. And your live walks are always enjoyable and fun. How is your weekend? Mine is great. Have a great day. 😀
You won't be disappointed! This walk is just a flying visit in comparison to the hours and hours you can spend in Bath, particularly strolling inside the Roman baths, which are even more spectacular inside than outside :) Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video - Bath is an absolutely wonderful city, and unlike any other in the UK :) Thank you very much for watching!

I'm a huge Morse fan. Just read the book his wife wrote about his life and death, and her life with him. Endeavour is a wonderful series too.

Yes,it absolutely heaves with tourists!

I gave up at the bridge being "highly unique" at one of only four.....

You're correct,it's not unique, the fact that it's a copy of the Ponte Vecchio indicates that.
What have the Georgians ever done for us?
With all that stunning architecture.... Nope, I've got nothing :)
@@LetsWalkUKa copy of Italian architecture.
