Now if there was a 6-part documentary/timeline series on the whole Star Wars universe going through important events, characters, and stories that have happened, with Diego Luna doing the narration and guide through for the whole series, I would watch it. That series would go insanely hard. He talks about comics, books, games, movies, shows, everything and how it all connected and occurs in the timeline. I’m all for it if that was a thing. Think of the series Planet Earth or a History series but with Diego Luna as the host. Who’s in? 👋

Agreed. We need more politics from this era, albeit done as tastefully as possible…maybe a tall order for too many fans. However, I’m ready for it. It’s the backbone of the series. Without it, ANH would have been dumbed down and certainly for kids.
Politics is for the adults. It’s time to bring Star Wars to its roots again.
You will be disapointed, they will show the empire as dumb blind idiots again as they always do. I wonder when we will be getting a proper imperial threath where the stormtroopers and admirals are not laughable idiots.

It should be politically neutral. No Republicant or Libtard bias. Sure take inspiration from real life but ONLY THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. But of course Disney won't do that
There was a deleted scene in A New Hope that said the Senate had been liquidated, so by the time we see the Senate in this show, their days are basically numbered.
I rewatched Rogue One again and man, it’s probably one of the best Star Wars films in the entire series that’s actually really good.. canon of course. Can’t wait to see what Andor has in store for us when it launches on September 21st!

I’ll rank it number 7 for me I still think the prequels and originals better b it rogue one is the closest thing we have to George Lucas Star Wars maybe beside favreau or filóni stuff

More trailers should be like this, shows the action, gives some exposition, but doesn't really spoil anything. Can't wait to catch the first 3 Episodes!
I loved Rogue One when i first saw it on theaters. I enjoyed it far more than force awakens, and it broke my heart to see so many people hate on it back then. Glad to see the tides have changed.

Rogue One is my second favourite movie of the franchise. Can’t wait for the Andor series
Rogue one was legit good - heartfelt and sincere, with amoving ending. And, it also managed to play fan service in a way that made sense. I loved it.
Rogue one is one of the best looking movie with the cinematography
Honestly it’s one of the best Star Wars movies and I’ve been really critical of the Disney Star Wars movies
It had a good balance. It was smart and witty. Humor was exactly like in the old movies (ie the Robot had some good moments) and no slap stick comedy. Also it looked like a SW movie shot in the 70s. And the end battle scene is only topped by ROTJ space fights. (yes to this day).
RO was done very well. The stakes were high, high and high. Just for everyone on Scariff to die for this a single disc that was 10cm long by the time it reached Leia
Rogue One was by far the best Disney Star Wars movie. I'm looking forward to this series. Also can't wait to (finally) see Imperial Coruscant and all of that.

They made Dave Filoni the creative director of Lucasfilm's almost 2 years ago. That is why its getting better. Nothing now gets through without filinois permission . Movie or TV show wise. Favreau would of never been hired without Filoni. Faveau was a voice actor on the animated show clone wars way before he even was hired on as a director for mandalorean which is where their relationship first started.

Sadly your correct. Kenobi had so much potential but Kathleen Kennedy had her hands all over that series.
Kenobi looked like it was filmed with a small budget and an amateur director. The non-stop camera shaking got so annoying. Book of Boba was mid, but Kenobi was sequel trilogy level bad besides the final episode. Hopefully Andor is more on par with The Mandalorian. Disney Star Wars peaked at Season 2 of The Mandalorian. It’s been steadily going back downhill ever since.
@@ihaveafettfetish9348 Either Deborah had no idea what she was doing or Kathleen Kennedy had full control and Deborah wasn’t allowed to do her job. Either way it’s all on Kathleen Kennedy. It literally felt and LOOKED like a fan film. I can already tell Andor is going to be a good series

I brushed off Rogue One when it came out for having a very simple story that we could all guess but I rewatched it last year and had a blast.
Plus, Donnie Yen is always a great addition to any film he's in
Donny Yens final scene in that film had me weeping like a child XD.
Why? It had some of the best premise to begin with. As a kid when watching A new hope, the line "many rebels died to bring us this information" i always wondered who and how they stole those plans. I could have not been a better idea. It went all downhill after Rogue one tho.
Rogue1 is the best Disney SW film imo, with Force Awakens as a close second and Solo as third

This is gonna be a blast. Can't wait for Andor, and have always enjoyed his character since Rogue One.
They need more series like Rogue One, where they focus on either the Galactic Civil War during, or post war.
Rogue One is amazing. Such a great war film and message of hope is peak Star Wars. Glad we get to see more of this great character's contribution to the Rebellion. May the Force be with you, always.

In 2016 I paid to see Rogue One in IMAX 5 times. It was great and so compelling by end of the film I wished there had been a live action series following these characters prior. Yeah some where in The Clone War's & Rebels. However cool to see that wish coming to fruition circa 2022 Sept 21st. Can't wait! :)

He wasn’t that much of a character and I didn’t think he would be it doesn’t make much sense to me”
But now I will say this show has my intrigue

Good god I was soooo wrong
This show is great and it’s impressive considering the director I think isn’t even a Star Wars fan
It’s Star Wars, it hardly feels like Star Wars and more like it’s own thing, and it’s impressive that in a universe with Starships and laser sword space wizards that they can make a show and story that’s unique, not seem all too out of place, show the pendulum of the empire and the rebellion, and not need special characters to make the show stand out in Star Wars of all things
It’s slow but the story is good, it’s action is fast and intense, and the duality of good and evil between both empire and rebellion shines throughout the show
The empire has some bad moments and definite cruelty however there are times where I see the empire as the good guys for a second, especially in the case of Karn who wrongfully got shafted for seemingly trying to keep the peace
And moments where I see the rebellion as bad guys due to some of the extremes they go to achieve their goals in the fight against the empire
I think as a whole the injustice of the empire makes the rebellion a better choice especially considering the prison arc
It’s just amazing what this show can do without using key staple characters I’d call it an interesting experiment
Guys it's not complicated. It's a prequel to a prequel that's a sequel to the trilogy of prequels that features a character to originate from the inbetweequel of those prequels. Quite straight forward.

I'm excited for this one but I hope they don't Disneyfi it. This is a guy who we were first introduced with him shooting an informant in order to escape. This is a guy who's done some dark stuff for what he believes in. I hope they don't try to make it into a jokey Marvel movie

„Star Wars Rebels“ takes place from beginning to end chronologically parallel to „Andor“.

@@iasonassakantaris „Rebels“ ends a few weeks before „Rogue One“, yes. But „Rebels“ also begins five years prior to „Rogue One“/Episode 4 just like „Andor“.
So, definitely for the most of the time, both series will take place at the same time in the timeline.
