      Did you mean you flown this pack till 2.5v per cell on the second flight in the park?

    • @VictorSeedorsky
      @VictorSeedorsky 3 роки тому

      Why not fly this till 2.5v per cell since it is li-ion and it is possible to do it..

    As someone else posted, you should use the 30 amp rated sony cells for a quadcopter. Also, you may be selling your pack short. Lion cells can be safely drained below 3.0 volts with no problem. Unlike lipo where 3.5 is usually the time to land, these ones can keep going. Read specs to be sure, but I think you can fly well beyond 3.5v per cell on these. Even so, 14 mins on a small quad is impressive. It might even be 2.5 volts! Also, most hobby chargers like your b6 have a LIon mode built in. No need for a separate charger as long as you use the right mode.
    Cheers

      Try to stick closer to 3 volts then 2.5v, yes you can go to 2.5v but it damages the battery's pretty heavily, my first attempt at 18650s was a battery for my eskate board and I ran them to 2.8 and after 4 months of just general riding around I busted 8 out of 50 cells.

      @@Waikhom007 I can get around 19+ minutes. I've heard some people charge their Li-ion on Li-po setting to get 4.2 volts (I've never tried, nor am I advising you to try the above mentioned charging voltage) I used cheap Li-ion (this was an experimental test pack) batteries so my flight time varies and seems lower than the many reported 30 minutes flight times. The pack cost around USD 7.00 dollars. ( I had all other material on hand)

    Hi~
    Let me ask you a question.
    It's a 3 inch cine hoop.
    In the video, there are videos of making a pack with 4 lithium-ion 18650 batteries and flying it with an FPV long range.
    With excitement, I ordered batteries and made a pack.
    LGDBHG21865 3000mA.
    The problem is... When I hovered, the yaw tick symptom reappeared after it came up, and, after a few seconds, the low-voltage buzzer sounded and the aircraft sank.
    If I open it again, it opens again,,,,, repeat...
    So, I changed the low voltage warning in Beta Flight to 2.7V, and when I turned it on, there was no sound.
    If I take a break for a while, it will float again. But it sinks again... The battery is hot, and the voltage is 3.8V... TT
    I bought 40 tablets... but I can't use them all?
    How do people use? Batteries were also made by buying anything.
    Is my FC the problem? Or is there a special setting for Li-ion?
    FC is IFlight SucceX Mini F4 V3 Stack, and the manual says 2~6 Lipol. Do I have to use only Lipol? Can I change FC?
    Why is this happening?
    It's a waste of money/work time.
    I'm serious~~ Please advise.~~ TT

      How much does the drone weigh without the battery?

      Will 5s or 6s solve the voltage drop?

    Hey bro just wanna say good video over all man but I just wanted to mention that the lion battery are realy friging heavy so some times depending on your motor prop set up it will actually be better dropping to a 3 cell pack, efficiency is yes so even tho it seem counter intuitive going up in motor size and a two blade prop can yeald better results. But over all man great video 🏋‍♂️

      No...the Li-ion packs have a much higher discharge compared to lipo,s. So you can fly for longer as long as your flying smoothly and not doing punch outs or stressing the battery.

    Heya I loved the video man 👍 I have a question regarding my 4s BMS, I just installed one for my 4s 4p battery and I got 16.40 volts out of the BMS which is good but whenever I plug my battery to a load the battery immediately drops to 11.16 volts and but it drops to 4.8 volts when I start using the load with the battery. Can you tell me what's causing this? The BMS and battery cells are brand new.

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  3 роки тому

      Toss out the bms. You should use a balance connector instead for a 4s set up.

  • @dougmcpheters1546
    @dougmcpheters1546 4 роки тому

    Sadly, after purchasing high quality cells, there's isn't an outstanding savings. But, they should become worth it after the first 2 or 3... What do you thing you saved on that pack? Great review btw!

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  4 роки тому +1

      Agreed! The cost of the heat shrink, wires, the balance connectors inflates the cost for the initial couple packs but after that it is just the cost of the batts. If I were to purchase two ZOHD $37.99 packs = $80.98 with shipping 25 to 35 days. I made two for a total of $80. That's including xt60 connectors and wires which I didn't buy but used old ones cut from old batteries. So my total cost was $65. So each costed $32. Now my third will cost just $22 vs $37.99 and savings will now begin and made them in 6 days of ordering all the stuff. Time + Money saved.

    Just curious, is it necessary to wire them to a bms and then charge them through the bms?

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  3 роки тому +1

      Not really.
      The hobby grade chargers balance each cell and safely stops charging once it is fully charged. The BMS kind of does that and it is often used when a basic charger with no balancing feature is used like a hoverboard or an ebike battery and when there are more cells involved especially when there is more than a single pack.
