Back in 2013 I saw Big Bang's MV "Fantastic Baby". I've been listening to KPop ever since. I am now 65 and still listen to it everyday. Been to many concerts with my niece. She is 30. First concert was B.A.P.. Last one was The Boyz. Still in love. Went to see Stray Kids right before pandemic. Awesome.

Big Bang are major OGs and are legends in the kpop world, all their songs you would clearly hear getting played in a club as they are all bangers.

John, I’m so glad you finally watched these guys, BigBang! The first guy in the video, with pink hair, is Taeyang - he is the one doing a collab with Jimin, of which the MV drops in a few days. The original group had 5 members, which you see here, but now there are only 4 members; the other 3 members are G-Dragon or GD {their leader}, T.O.P, & Daesung. Some of the BTS members have said that BigBang was their inspiration, and Taeyang was one of Jimin’s idols! I really like them! I don’t get involved or pay attention to fandom competition (BB’s fandom is called VIP). I just want to enjoy music from any band that I really like!👍🏼
Everything G-Dragon does is insane. (He’s the leader and the guy with red hair in this video.) I recommend checking him out more. My favorite of his songs are Crooked, One of a Kind, Crayon & Coup D’etat.

They are an OG group -- who debuted in 2006 -- that all other Kpop groups look up to and they are one of the groups that EVERYONE respects. They are one of the founders that made Kpop an international success. BigBang are the leaders of K-hip-hop and one of the most successful Kpop groups of their time. They are the group that made YG Entertainment one of the big three entertainment companies alongside SM and JYP. BigBang literally made YG what it is today.

If you think their MVs are hype, just wait until you see them perform their songs live, they are just as mind blowing, if not more, live than they are in their MVs, and they have just as many or more people on stage with them in their live performances as they do in the MVs.

There is no party like a BigBang party but they have a big variety of songs and their solo music is even more diverse . BigBang had a huge contribution at making kpop into what it is today , from writing and producing their music , lightstick, mini albums, first real rappers , first rapline , bringing the big fashion industry into kpop, succesfull solo careers without disband . You are lucky because they are coming back from hiatus this year. Main vocalist Taeyang will release a new solo song on 13 January . Leader G Dragon and rapper TOP also confirmed that they plan solo albums

They have a lot of turn-up songs and just them having fun. You could check out their earlier MV - FANTASTIC BABY. It's as crazy visually or even crazier. LOL
Their sub-unit songs and solos are also as hype or iconic. But they also have really powerful ballads that showcase all of their vocal abilities. Yes. Even the rappers can sing really well.

Thank you for finally getting into Bigbang. Imo, the greatest K-pop band. They're not really "idols", they're artists. This song is one of THE most iconic songs. The effect it had when it was released was incredible.
As others have said, they have music in every style and genre. If you want another song (and mv) to fuel your ADH 🤣 then Sober is another fun one. Fxxk It is laid back, and shows more of their personalities. Loser hits hard but you have to watch with lyrics. If You showcases their beautiful vocals. And they all have successful solo careers.
You will also find that they are the most hilarious, weird, chaotic, shy and humble guys. They have the bad boy persona, but they are actually a bunch of softies 🤣🤣

yay, Bigbang! They don't have a huge discography because they're more of a collective than a traditional boyband - they're predominantly soloists and only come together once every few years as bigbang. but the discography is super versatile - they have a few hype songs like this but their stuff runs the gamut from rock to ballads to trap to pop. There's a wide range of songs people will suggest you check out next but most people will say the next thing you should do is check out their live performances because their concerts really are what put them on another level. John, they have many beautiful, sensitive, even guitar driven songs showing genuine vulnerability but can be the OG shirt free party banger kings when they choose. Another aspect I really like is the very strong rapport between members. Our dear Tannies are/were heavily influenced by them (Jk's cover of If You on Masked Singer is wonderful) and Jimin's collab with Taeyang is out next week. Hope you can look into more of their work.
JK's cover and him and Taehyung doing Big Bang in a karaoke booth got me into Big Bang in the first place. So talented and versatile, they were the fuse that ignited Kpop. I love all their group, solo, duo whatever they do tracks. Can't wait for Vibe...I just watched the teaser and Taeyang and Jimin are fixing to slay.

Big Bang AKA your favorite kpop bands favorite kpop band. The first kpop band to dye their hair bright colors, the first kpop band to go on a world tour, the only kpop band where all it's members are successful solo artists and still a group. The undisputed kings of kpop until they had to do their mandatory military service and BTS conquered the world in their absence. I think big bang is about to have big wave of popularity because Taeyang is releasing a song with Jimin and the BTS army is a force. They're going to go back and listen to the king of Korean R&B's other songs which is going to lead to to his group and big bang wasn't on top for so long for no reason. They're special.
I agree with this. I would just like to add to the part "the only kpop band where all it's members are successful solo artists and still a group". SHINee members all have solo careers, and all of them now have solo albums. We're still waiting for Top's album.
