Fun Fact: LEEZ and Ollounder, the main producers of Dreamcatcher, are also part of ATEEZ’s production team. Both groups have very different sounds from each other, but it was cool to hear what a song with metal flavors is like in ATEEZ’s color.
Thank you for the reaction! The member that usually hits the high note is the youngest member, Jongho. ATEEZ & Dreamcatcher have the same producers. ATEEZ's concept is pirates, and their flag & logo changes every comeback. So, in this comeback, since they are the guerrillas, hence the anarchy flags. Its interesting that it can represent their name too. A lot of people think ATEEZ is no longer doing pirate concepts, but they are still pirates (guerrilla). I would love to recommend you to check out HALA HALA, Wonderland, Horizon, Say My Name & Pirate King for introduction, which are so piratey (mv-wise and music-wise). Also ATEEZ's storyline is no joke, like they take their storyline seriously. In 2020, they relased a diary entry about mentioning July 29, and this comeback is also on July 29. They had it all planned out even before their debut. which is also why they always tease unreleased songs in their latest comeback mv. They also have trailers, diary entries and diary film to explain their storyline more.
Ohhhh I can’t wait to check more of them out! For real thank you for the info! Dreamcatcher is another band I’m really excited to learn more about and I love the concept for them pirates!! Freakin love it!!
I’m a fellow metal fan, and Ateez are my favourite KPOP group. Every song is different, the storyline is epic, and the boys are great characters in real life.
@@katherinegondola4514 Check out the UA-cam channel eterniteez... They have a lot of the storyline explained (without theories, just straight up explanations)
ATEEZ has 8 members 2 rappers and 6 vocalists. they debut as pirates. You will LOVE their songs.....BLACK CAT NERO.....PIRATE KING and TREASURE were their debut songs...you will likely enjoy everything of theirs. I have been an ATINY (their fandom name) for over 3 yrs...they are on a level all their own and always pushing the boundaries
If you're into storyline then Ateez are the group for you, because EVERY MV since their debut (which was 4 years ago) is a piece of a bigger picture, a story that's still going and according to the leader of Ateez (Hongjoong, the first rapper appeared on screen and the one that did the metal scream) is not even halfway through. Their lore is kinda complicated, but damn good and interesting. Really enjoyed your reaction and I hope you will keep checking on them because they are great, everyone is an all rounder in this group and they are 8 members. The one that was hitting all the high notes is Jongho, the youngest member in the group
YAY! Ateez are my fav kpop group. they’re music is so good. and the youngest member, Jongho was doing all the high notes. he always goes hard with the high notes on every song LOL
Jongho most does the high notes, he has a beautiful voice. I heard this song when it came out yesterday and I knew you would love it because it had metal aspects! My personal favorite song from Ateez is called “Answer” if you want to check that one out John
As a metal fan as well as a kpop fan I loved hearing the metal screams and the overall versatility ateez has here. Which is why they have been one of my favorite groups and will continue to be. I got excited seeing "metal vocalist" in the title because I really wanted to see metal artists/metal fans reaction to it because it got me all giddy hearing this comeback!
I knew I was gonna love this reaction the minute I started watching it. It's refreshing to hear someone who knows what he's talking about. So glad you got to react to ATEEZ. Out of all the Guerrilla reactions I've seen, and I've seen a lot, yours is my favorite.
Ateez have an in house production team but two of the producers actually produce for Dreamcatcher as well! they’re at different companies though. also ATEEZ has an over arching storyline since debut. a lot of fans love deciphering it. glad you liked this!!
I detected some Muse and other alt rock influence in Guerrilla which is great. You might like to check out New World from this same album or Ateez's MV Rocky (Boxer ver.), live performance of Win, Hala Hala MV, & Wonderland MV are some of their more hype stuff. They do a lot of different sounds I also love The Leaders, Take Me Home, Be With You, Say My Name, Inception, Aurora, Horizon, Deja Vu. Basically they have no bad songs.
Just a little recommendation of their new album: "Cyberpunk" and "the ring" (Tbh all tracks are recommendation worthy, it's a no skip album). Both don't have a mv, but they're so good, they don't need any
I'm commenting because upvoting is not enough when talking about this album! John it's "The World Ep 1: Movement" .. move the guerrilla anti-propaganda damn-the-man anarchy movement we see in this music video. The album is quite honestly a true no-skip album imo. I'm obsessed with Cyberpunk and Sector 1, and seeing The Ring and New World live made me love them even more than I already did. I don't know how I can pick a favorite anymore
I think they said they took when Mingi was arguing with someone and distorted the shit out of it. Also, Jongho was the one hitting the high notes. His high notes when the preformed Wonderland symphony 9 were INSANE
I am also a metal fan (originally, but I listen to everything) and I was initially pulled in by Jongho's power metal-eqsue (in my opinion) vocals. Another comment said you need to check out their Kingdom performance for Symphony No.9: From The Wonderland (a remix of their song Wonderland and Dvorak's 9th symphony) and I agree. There's pirates, there's a four part high note, there's tons of dancers, there's even a kraken. It's just a great time :)
With all the things you listed that you like you would ABSOLUTELY LOVE ATEEZ 😭 the members love anime for example Mingi dyed his hair the same as rengokus. Their storyline is so rich and deep. They even have osts like Lookism “like that” and digimons “dreamers” even a new one for the anime Duel Masters WIN called “Limitless” that’s out on the 22nd of March!
Ty for reacting to Ateez!! Their storyline is so interesting and they are so talented. The high notes is usually Jongho, their youngest member. His voice is beautiful! You should hear it live. I recommend wonderland, pirate king, answer, treasure, and hala hala from them as well. If you love storylines, you'll love Ateez. Very simplified summary: Timetraveling pirates that fight an oppressive government
Guerilla as a song and this M/V hit ALLLLLLLL the marks for me. I cannot express how much I love this entire performance. The intensity is AMAZING. It just DOES NOT STOP and drives me up against the wall, breathless.
Hey thanks for checking these guys out! If it's storyline you like, I HIGHLY suggest checking out the rest of Ateez's work. It's the most cohesive storyline I've encountered in kpop, and I've been in this realm for 10 years. :D Their dedication to telling is this story is incredible, and they've been telling it since they debuted. The more recent albums even have versions with actual, written story narrative. And you were right about the anarchy symbol. The concept figures into the story heavily, and Guerrilla is the most clear representation of it all that we've gotten so far, in my opinion, and its worth looking at every single tiny detail. Enjoy!! :D
There are 8 pirates in Ateez ;) they have a storyline and this is one of those vids full of it. I seriously recommend for Ateez THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT TO ALL THE OTHER KPOP GROUPS
Thank you for reacting to *ATEEZ!!!* (you already pronounced the name right 😊) these guys are pure talented and well-known as one of the best performance groups in the industry. ATEEZ has 8 members, the first rapper with black and white hair is the leader "Hongjoong" (aka The Captain) I'm not sure that he did those screaming part himself or not 😂 and the one who sing all those high notes is "Jongho" 5:10 the youngest member. He's one of the best vocalists in this generation and got a lot of praised from the seniors in the industry. They debuted on October 24th, 2018 under "KQ Entertainment" with the "Pirates" concept (their debut songs are Pirate king and Treasure) and some of dystopian, time traveling kinda things. Their lore is huge and a lil bit complicated. So, the most of their songs and videos are connected Anyway, if you wanna see more of them, here's the list of some of their songs that I'd like to recommend - Pirate king - Treasure - Say my name - Hala Hala - Illusion - Wave - Wonderland - Answer - Inception - Thanxx - Fireworks (I'm the one) - Deja Vu - Eternal sunshine - Turbulence - The real - Don't stop
Yes! Thank you for your reaction to ATEEZ! They're incredibly talented and so unique. Please keep them in your radar because they're not done yet! Their debut vid was "Pirate King". Also they released dance covers under the name KQ fellas (KQ Entertainment is their label) so you should check that out as well! Ok, I'm sure Atinys (our fandom name) will fill you in on more🤘
The guy you mentioned who did the metal screamings is the captain of the group Hong-Joong. He is also part of the rap team alongside with Mingi, The guy with the raspy low voice. He also does a lot of writing and producing for the group.
As a rock/ metal fan, I played right into Dreamcatcher's hands! So I love it when k-pop groups incorporate metal elements, like this amazing Ateez tune (which made me a fan). There is a song called "Poison" by a girl group named PinkFantasy that you'll likely enjoy because of this, too. It leans much heavier into the metal theme. There's also a reactor, Champ of Medium, who is a total rock guy, but loves and reacts to k-pop. You might vibe with him for your podcast!
Hi, thanks for checking out ATEEZ! I'm also a metal fan and still love it, but I started checking out KPOP during the pandemic. ATEEZ have been my ults since 2020 and honestly, I don't regret stanning them. You can tell by their music that they're influenced by rock. Leader Hongjoong is a David Bowie fan, I believe also Freddie Mercury, and Linkin Park. You should check out his cover of Numb. It is FANTASTIC. Also, the members are into some rock as well. Main dancer Yunho, (the front center one at the end part) has said he loves AC/DC. He's always spoke about doing a rock concept and he finally got his wish. Others like Green Day and Fall Out Boy. Rapper Mingi (Our boy is upside down during his verse) is into a lot of pop punk, so I knew they'd eventually do a rock concept. Please check out Hala Hala, Wonderland, Pirate King, Say My Name for more obscure, harder songs. They are 8 very talented boys who are passionate about their craft. Also our high note man is Jongho. He IS The voice of this generation! Again, enjoyed your reaction!
Found it!! Your ATEEZ reaction! I absolutely love that you love it!! Everyone else already told you everything, except there's a couple of parts where you really liked the vocal high pitched notes and it was Seonghwa (when you first paused), Yunho and San (the one sitting and then the one on the screen) singing. Jongho is the youngest and he usually hits the high notes in the climax of the song, but you did also notice the others. ATEEZ are touring the U.S. right now, they are almost done though - two shows in Newark this weekend then into Canada. I went to their show in Chicago last weekend and it was literally the best show I've ever been to. I've seen Priest, Maiden, Rammstein, Sabbath, Ozzy, Zombie, Queensryche, Dream Theater, KISS, X JAPAN, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Dimmu, Cradle, Cattle Decap, Sepultura - bro so many bands -- and ATEEZ topped it all!
this is the first vid of yours that i've watched! and oh you better be ready to jump head first down the ateez rabbit hole. if you say you like lore & storylines, ateez are the one for you, like nobody does it better, you will find references of recent songs in their old songs like the way they and kq have this planned out is ridiculous - i bet they have years worth of lore and songs planned already! black cat nero is a good cover that they flipped and made more metal :) but also their discography is just one of a kind they do music so well. you'd like this most recent album i know for sure, its the most cohesive!
5:25 no it’s ok that is the anarchy symbol on the flag it’s part of their storyline - especially in this MV as it’s about a dystopian land where they r starting a revolution!
ohhhh I love that! and honestly there was probably a ton that went over my head in this video but im really interested to learn more about them and their story
Just saw ATEEZ last night. Best group I’ve ever heard. Their entire discography is 🔥. Not every album is like Guerrilla but they are all awesome in their own way. My bias is Jongho (the maknae) and he’s the one with the super high notes. We are lucky to have him.
Guys, btw, the cityscape background that spells out Guerrilla is inspired by and meant to resemble the 1927 silent film "Metropolis", so that took a lot of planning and thought as well.
Hi John, I'm ARMY and watch your reactions (found you 5 months ago through a Pentatonix reaction)! Didn't see this ATEEZ reaction until now - ATEEZ were the first group that grabbed me like BTS did (similar back story, small company, they don't win often in SK but are popular Internationally). I'm now also massively into Stray Kids too - how lucky are we with to have all this talent to enjoy.
ATEEZ lore is amazing! It’s been going on since they debuted in October 2018, I really want you to react to lore ateez and yeah both ATEEZ and Dreamcatcher have same producers
Jongho did the highnotes. If you enjoy storyline ateez is probably the best one for it because ateez storyline is so big. About the scream we are not sure tbh it somewhat sounds like the leader hongjoong (which was on the screen when it happened) , but it could be post, he does not do it live, but that could be more for his chords than because he did not do it in production, hopefully we will have that more answered in the futur. if I would guess it is likely done by distortion though and not them doing it.
I'm new to ATEEZ, but I can tell you that each song is amazing. It's very difficult to choose only one, but I'll recommend you a few songs which I like a lot: Hala hala, Answer, Say my name, Deja Vu, Fireworks, The real. 4:15 that beautiful guy is Yunho who was sitting in the dark he is the puppy of the group very cute and talented. The guy with amazing vocals 4:41 he is Jongho the maknae of the group. You can also do a guide to ATEEZ to know them better and you can let us know who is your bias or if you'll have more. Me personally I have 3 biases now :p but all of them are wow!
I'm a metal fan too. My favorite band is Ice Nine Kills at the moment. I've been listening to Ateez since their debut and they don't have a bad song. You would love their live performance of their song "Wonderland" on the show Kingdom. Jongho hits an unbelievable note live. The man is a vocal God.
Love ATEEZ!! They have been fire since debut, amazing vocals and dancers. Plus they love BTS! And have done some amazing BTS cover performances. Definitely one of my favs! Happy you are checking them out! They deserve all the kudos!
They said, the genre of Guerrilla is Psychadelic.. Their Agency is KQ Entertainment and the one who hits the high note is Choi Jongho, the screamo probably use distortion tho
Welcome to Ateez,. Their story line actually is huge and starts with their debut mvs and yes they released 2 mvs for their debut. Pirate King and Treasure. The high notes were sung by Jongho the youngest member of Ateez. Feel free to ask us Atiny any questions ( Ateez+destiny= Atiny) fandom name.
how many genres has Ateez done? I think all of them at this point, FR. Every song hits different and it's an entirely new word from one album to another. I highly recommend you to check the whole album, it seriously has no skips songs at all. And if you are into storyline and plot, oh boy, ATEEZ is your group, they have like the longest, bast and interesting storyline istg!!! Thank you for your reaction, you are so cool, I'm subscribing now!!
Loved your reaction! My favorite song from them sadly don't get as much attention as their other tracks but I'll recommend them regardless bc they're two of my favorite songs ever. One is "Answer", it's so epic and emotional, and it has this 'we can do anything together' kind of energy. The first lyrics are "Let’s make a toast like a thunder/fill in everything/so much that it overflows/raise your glasses over your heads/so high that they can be seen anywhere in the world" The second one is "Inception", it's also very emotional but in a different way, it has this feeling of being lost, lonely and desperate. And like the name would suggest it has a lot of stuff about dreams sjsj. If you're looking for other groups to check out, my recommendations are P1Harmony's "Scared", STAYC's "Beautiful Monster" and Kang Daniel's "Paranoia" (last one is a soloist).
All their music videos are related to their lore, but the timeline is swapped (their older mvs depict things that happen later on in their storyline, while newer mvs show the beginning of their journey- starting with their album fever pt 1). Their lore is really good and they have released a chunk of it in their albums. I can give u a link to read it online if ure interested! Its not that long
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I LOVE ATEEZ. They are amazing. Go back to their debut Pirate King and work your way back to now. You will not be disappointed. It's pronounced AY-TEEZ and there are 8 of them and they defy genres.
ATEEZ have transitioned from a dance group (they are a KILLER dance group, make no mistake!), to focusing on their vocals/artistry, their discography is consistent in terms of concept and sound - they are ATEEZ, whatever they do. With this comeback, I'm getting a Westworld vibe (are you watching the latest series of Westworld??). As with most KPOP groups during comeback promotions, they perform their title tracks on the music show stages (MCountdown, Music Bank, Inkigayo, The Show, Show Champion). It's something to see - a different outfit every stage, live vocals, different background/lighting setup for each stage, the choreography, and they usually promote for two weeks minimum. And besides the official MV, there is a Studio Choom MV, the dance practice MV, as well as variety shows and interviews. They're probably getting ready for their tour as well. They sound good to me, I'm glad you liked it.
Ateez has a huge storyline every one of their videos are tied to the other i would suggest watching them from the start! They are amazing you won't be disappointed
Jongho does most of the high notes, but the other beautiful voices belong to Yunho (the guy sitting in the chair), San (the guy who’s face is on the TV screen and the one who did the speedskating style slide), and Seonghwa (he’s wearing the outfit with the long black skirt). The best way to learn who did which part is to watch the Line Distribution videos.
Ateez is one of my favorite K-Pop groups & before Kpop I primarily listened to Rock & metal music. I agree with you about loving a good story! Some Kpop definitely brings that to the table along with well produced music that spans a wide variety of genres. It’s like Kpop takes some of the musicality of western pop music & mixes it with rap, rock, & other genres, but has the lyricism & storytelling of metal music. I love it!!! Anyway, I loved your reaction and would love to see you check out more Ateez! In particular their Kingdom performances of Wonderland & Answer have more rock & classical influences. The music video/studio versions for those songs are great too. Then the rock-esque ballad Turbulence & Say My Name are also amazing songs that might be up your alley! 😊
Love love LOVE your reactions! I always recommend Stray Kids to every reactor I come across, as they are incredibly talented and so diverse from other kpop groups I have seen. Their discography is out of this world and it makes it even more respectable when you find out all of their discography was created by them and them alone with little to no help! Check them out please and thank you, I think you’ll like them a lot😊
The one who did the scremo is hongjoong their leader and from what we know he actually did it 😂 and actually ateez are very diverse group so they do all kind of music but i think u will also love from them black cat nero, rocky and wonderland i hope u will enjoy ur journey with ateez thank u for reacting to them
There's nobody else like Ateez in kpop TBH and even they keep experimenting and trying new sounds with every new album. They are the most powerful performance group around though and a lot of their title tracks have that crazy energy that goes even crazier live. You'll probably enjoy The Real (it has a very anime-style MV), Wonderland (dark and intense), Hala Hala (created what we call a Demon Line - the three most expressive members). I also recommend listening to the whole album because all songs have a similar feel and are telling the same story together with Guerrilla (although they are quite different compositions). Ateez have their own in-house production team that creates all of their music together with the members and some of those producers make Dreamcatcher's music too.
If you are really interested in the lore of the group, it's best to start at the beginning. In order, their music videos were Pirate King, Treasure, Say My Name, HALA HALA, Wave, Illusion, Aurora, Wonderland, Utopia (this one is Japanese but there is a Korean version of the song, just without a video), Answer, Inception, Thanxx, Fireworks, Deja Vu, Turbulence, The Real, and now Guerrilla. There are a couple music videos that aren't related to the story and were done for either Japanese release or special videos, such as Promise, Dreamers, Black Cat Nero, Don't Stop and Rocky. Honestly, if you want to get more into Kpop, you can't go wrong with this group.
@@emmylia Oops, you're right! I kinda forgot everything that was in the MV when I was writing this comment, trying to rattle off all the music videos while remembering all the parts of them. It gets so confusing because I feel like there is so much they have given us that is in the lore that isn't even in their music videos (all the behind the scenes content from like the tour dvd and diary films), there is no way a casual fan not watching that stuff too would get all the lore. But I think he'd be able to get the gist of it from the MVs anyways!
@@hongjoongsbutterfly Ah yeah, they’ve also revealed a bit in their albums, like they’ve written down part of the lore in the physical copies of them. I think that’s how we found out that the old man we saw in the Movement trailers is called Left Eye. But yeah I’ve seen some reactors figure out the gist of it from watching their mvs so he might be able to as well
@@JohnReavesLive Their discography is very diverse so i will give you some cues mainly for title tracks! Hard hitting songs: Wonderland; Hala Hala; The Real; Fireworks Toned down bops, lore heavy MVs: Answer; Say my name; Inception Catchy, bouncy beats: Deja Vu; Thanxx PURE VIBES (i will not elaborate, you gotta experience it yourself): Take me home; Cyberpunk; Precious; Utopia Summer bops: Wave; Illusion; Eternal sunshine The list goes on but i hope this gives you an idea!
Ateez story has to do with pirates that can travel between dimensions, it’s ongoing and very involved. I watched their live performance of this song they did this morning and watching Jongho do those high notes live while dancing was a whole experience. I think I gasped out loud. Jongho from Ateez might be the best vocalist out of the pool of already extremely talented 4th gen vocalists. ( kpop has generations. BTS is considered 3rd gen)
Thanks for this reaction. The singer Jongho does the high notes most of the time . He is a monster, a king of high notes. Please react to others ATEEZ song. They are amazing. The fandom is called Atiny. By the way I'm an Army and Atiny too.
You know i love rock and metal and i discovered bts because of my daughter..so after i fell in love with BTS...I saw Ateez and I fell in love with these guys as well...they are so good and talented. I am glad you are reacting to them..I suggest The Black Cat Nero from them its one of my favorites and i know you will like it. I will put a link of it on your discord under kpop artists. love the reaction 💜💜
since you said you're an anime fan, I think you would enjoy the music video for The Real by them! the song is also incredible & the mv has a very anime type vibe to it imo.
Ok I'm going to try and keep this as short as I can, can't promise anything....but I'm going to try my damnest. I am ATINY, fandom name; pronounced AY-TEENY. It is a combo of ATEEZ and Destiny, the guys say, We are their Destiny. ATEEZ means "Everything for TEEangers from A to Z." There are a total of 8 members. I know you believe that is a lot of members, but u have to understand that in k pop the average size is 7 or 8 members to a group. Some are smaller with 4 or 5. And others with a lot more, 9, 11 even 13 and one group called NCT with 23 members. But that group is for another day and post...today is ATEEZ's turn. So the members: from oldest to the maknae 1. Seonghwa-oldest, vocals 2. Hongjoong-leader, rapper, composer, the one with the split blonde and black hair,, and the one who did the "heavy metal scream" as you put it, which I loved. 3. Yunho-one of the tallest at 6'0, lead dancer. 4. Yeosang-he got the lower baritone voice 5. San-main dancer, center, and face of the group, he is also the one that had the stark, pale blonde hair. 6. Mingi-the other tall member at 6'0 as well as the other rapper with the lower register, composer, and lead dancer. 7. Wooyoung-dancer, visual, the one with the higher register when he sings. 8. Jongho-maknae (youngest of the group) but don't let that fool u. Jongho is called the voice of the 4th generation. He's the one with the powerful voice that you hear throughout the song. As well as what ATINY call him the "Fruit Ninja." He can splits apples into two, with his bare hands. Not to mention, oranges, and breaks melons with one handed punch, like honeydew, catelope, and yes even watermelon. So you see "Fruit Ninja!" Ok I know, that was a lot of info to take info, and yet, still haven't scratched the surface of ATEEZ. One thing u need to know is that they have a massive storyline. As a matter of fact, this new song and video is connected to that storyline. Not to mention their album is also connected. And they have an in house group of composers, producers, and songwriters that also include Hongjoong and Mingi....and when they release songs they usually release two songs at a time. Not a lot of groups do that. If you would like to know more about ATEEZ, you may want to check out a guide or two to help you get to know not only the guys but their music and their storyline. One last thing, a big thing that ATEEZ is known for, their live preformances...1. There are so many of them. 2. Stage presence and 3. I have been listening to and watching k pop with my daughter since 2009 (2nd generation). And I've seen vocal lines, dance lines, rap lines, hell I've seen crazy lines and chaotic lines. But never once until ATEEZ have I ever seen or heard of a "Demon Line." There are 3 members of ATEEZ that when they are off stage they ate sweet and kind, and very introverted. Once they hit that stage, they look like they become possessed, and they become our Demon Line. Now this line consists of Hongjoong, (the rapper, leader, and dad of the group) Seonghwa, (oldest, vocals, and mom of the group.) And than there is San...or what ATINY calls "SANtan." He is a vocalist and the face of the group. He often getting killing parts in MV's or songs. But if you get a chance to see a live preformance, watch San and you will see what we are talking about. If u would like a list of songs you can check out, let me know and I will be more than happy to help u out.. me or any other ATINY will help out... I apologize for such a long post....I knew thos post was going to be long...there was just so much info I wanted to give u...and I didn't even give you 1/4 of what I wanted to give you...that why I suggested the guides...but if you read this far...thank you and I hope it helps out...please keep reacting to ATEEZ, they are so worth your time.
I suggest you check out the music Poison by the group Pink Fantasy, its a kpop girl group and the song has great metal inspirations and an amazing chorus
Checkout Wonderland by Ateez! It's the song that got me into them. The performance of it on Kingdom was AMAZING (but it's missing Mingi's iconic parts).
Fun Fact: LEEZ and Ollounder, the main producers of Dreamcatcher, are also part of ATEEZ’s production team. Both groups have very different sounds from each other, but it was cool to hear what a song with metal flavors is like in ATEEZ’s color.

@@ariastandford7951 For now I’m clinging to ATEEZ’s The King because it’s what I imagine an ATEEZxDREAMCATCHER collab would sound like.

Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
Jongho most does the high notes, he has a beautiful voice. I heard this song when it came out yesterday and I knew you would love it because it had metal aspects! My personal favorite song from Ateez is called “Answer” if you want to check that one out John
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
As a metal fan as well as a kpop fan I loved hearing the metal screams and the overall versatility ateez has here. Which is why they have been one of my favorite groups and will continue to be. I got excited seeing "metal vocalist" in the title because I really wanted to see metal artists/metal fans reaction to it because it got me all giddy hearing this comeback!
I would also recommend a deep dive into Ateez - Wonderland.
The dance practice is INSANE! And their live performance will blow you away!
Im for sure down to do that! Loved this song and Am stoked to check out another!
@@JohnReavesLive Not an Atiny, but I loved their MAMA 2019 performance of Wonderland with other songs mixed in. Watch the pan to the audience on that.
I knew I was gonna love this reaction the minute I started watching it. It's refreshing to hear someone who knows what he's talking about. So glad you got to react to ATEEZ. Out of all the Guerrilla reactions I've seen, and I've seen a lot, yours is my favorite.
🥹🥹 for real thank you Cidny!
Ateez have an in house production team but two of the producers actually produce for Dreamcatcher as well! they’re at different companies though. also ATEEZ has an over arching storyline since debut. a lot of fans love deciphering it. glad you liked this!!
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
The rap here is so clean
I detected some Muse and other alt rock influence in Guerrilla which is great.
You might like to check out New World from this same album or Ateez's MV Rocky (Boxer ver.), live performance of Win, Hala Hala MV, & Wonderland MV are some of their more hype stuff.
They do a lot of different sounds I also love The Leaders, Take Me Home, Be With You, Say My Name, Inception, Aurora, Horizon, Deja Vu. Basically they have no bad songs.
Lol glad I wasn’t the only one getting that from them 😂 love this song! And for sure I’ll be checking these songs out!
As soon as I heard the high vocals I was like “um okay muse???”
Yesss! I was waiting for someone to mention Muse as an influence
Just a little recommendation of their new album: "Cyberpunk" and "the ring" (Tbh all tracks are recommendation worthy, it's a no skip album). Both don't have a mv, but they're so good, they don't need any
You literally took the words right out of my mouth. I was going to suggest the entire album but especially Cyberpunk and The Ring.
Cyberpunk is my favorite song of the year!!
His high notes when the preformed Wonderland symphony 9 were INSANE
their performance of their song Wonderland on the show Kingdom is always great to watch. they’re incredible live and the stage has a cool story to it
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
I am also a metal fan (originally, but I listen to everything) and I was initially pulled in by Jongho's power metal-eqsue (in my opinion) vocals. Another comment said you need to check out their Kingdom performance for Symphony No.9: From The Wonderland (a remix of their song Wonderland and Dvorak's 9th symphony) and I agree. There's pirates, there's a four part high note, there's tons of dancers, there's even a kraken. It's just a great time :)
I forgot to add: you asked if they did reggae and their song Wave has some island influences
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
You can just tell as soon as he heard the metal scream he got even more into it
Guerilla as a song and this M/V hit ALLLLLLLL the marks for me. I cannot express how much I love this entire performance.
The intensity is AMAZING. It just DOES NOT STOP and drives me up against the wall, breathless.
If you see an iconic presentation of ATEEZ search "symphony n°9 from the wonderland"
ATEEZ really are very talented and their songs are awesome
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
So, the most of their songs and videos are connected
Anyway, if you wanna see more of them, here's the list of some of their songs that I'd like to recommend
- Pirate king
- Treasure
- Say my name
- Hala Hala
- Illusion
- Wave
- Wonderland
- Answer
- Inception
- Thanxx
- Fireworks (I'm the one)
- Deja Vu
- Eternal sunshine
- Turbulence
- The real
- Don't stop
6:54 the company ATEEZ is under is called KQ Entertainment!
Ahh heck yes! for real thank you for checking my video out and also for the info! I'm really stoked to be checking out more of their songs!
This by far the best reaction I have seen to ATEEZ Guerrilla and can't wait to see more of your reactions to ATEEZ
ATEEZ is the only group I stan. They deserve my full attention. They deserve everything. They’re so good, I love them sm.
you have no idea how cool it is to see this in concert and scream break the wall with them
The logo is the anarchy logo. they used it for their storyline.
5:25 no it’s ok that is the anarchy symbol on the flag it’s part of their storyline - especially in this MV as it’s about a dystopian land where they r starting a revolution!
Also thank u so much for giving ATEEZ a chance and reacting to their new comeback!
ohhhh I love that! and honestly there was probably a ton that went over my head in this video but im really interested to learn more about them and their story
Just saw ATEEZ last night. Best group I’ve ever heard. Their entire discography is 🔥. Not every album is like Guerrilla but they are all awesome in their own way. My bias is Jongho (the maknae) and he’s the one with the super high notes. We are lucky to have him.
Jungho is the maknae (baby of the group) and is the main vocalist that hits high notes.
Thanks so much for checking out our super talented 8boys Ateez! What a great review! I hope you'll check out more of them
Guys, btw, the cityscape background that spells out Guerrilla is inspired by and meant to resemble the 1927 silent film "Metropolis", so that took a lot of planning and thought as well.
Thank uuuuu!!!! Hugs from Brazil^^
:) Thank you for watching!
I'm now also massively into Stray Kids too - how lucky are we with to have all this talent to enjoy.
glad you enjoyed itt!!! ateez are pretty experimental but they always have their signature sound
They're SO COOL!!! Fantastic video
ATEEZ lore is amazing! It’s been going on since they debuted in October 2018, I really want you to react to lore ateez and yeah both ATEEZ and Dreamcatcher have same producers
It’s why I love most kpop especially Ateez and Stray Kids all the mixed genres. Makes every song so unique.
Thanks for the info Arstan!! For real love this song it’s been on my playlist today! Really want to listen to more of them
I'm new to ATEEZ, but I can tell you that each song is amazing.
They deserve all the kudos!
i love your positivity!
Voted atiny MNET plus and Idol champ
When you said all those things that you like... i was like oh man... this guy's going to fall in love with ateez
how many genres has Ateez done? I think all of them at this point, FR. Every song hits different and it's an entirely new word from one album to another. I highly recommend you to check the whole album, it seriously has no skips songs at all. And if you are into storyline and plot, oh boy, ATEEZ is your group, they have like the longest, bast and interesting storyline istg!!! Thank you for your reaction, you are so cool, I'm subscribing now!!
ATEEZ CHANGED KPOP FOREVER
6:09 as soon as the beat dropped he looked back at the screen 😂🤣😂
good time to tune into ateez,, you see this was the ep.1 so expect more album from them that might come out next year!
Loved your reaction! My favorite song from them sadly don't get as much attention as their other tracks but I'll recommend them regardless bc they're two of my favorite songs ever.
One is "Answer", it's so epic and emotional, and it has this 'we can do anything together' kind of energy. The first lyrics are "Let’s make a toast like a thunder/fill in everything/so much that it overflows/raise your glasses over your heads/so high that they can be seen anywhere in the world"
The second one is "Inception", it's also very emotional but in a different way, it has this feeling of being lost, lonely and desperate. And like the name would suggest it has a lot of stuff about dreams sjsj.
If you're looking for other groups to check out, my recommendations are P1Harmony's "Scared", STAYC's "Beautiful Monster" and Kang Daniel's "Paranoia" (last one is a soloist).
Ay-tease or Ah-tease. Either way, Guerilla is fire! The dance practice vid is really good too.
Its not that long
I'm so ready for the next reaction to them!!! 🙌🔥
Wow amazing, thank u so much!!
dreamcatcher and ateez actually share the same producers ! lol
They share some, but not all of their producers.
Let’s dive together in this rabbit hole of Ateez… I am new to them too.. and I love what I heard so far.. maybe a new Atiny here 😊
Heck Yes Tina!!!! Im Down! Today should be posting a reaction to a cover the singer did and im stoked!

OMG YAS ATEEZ
ATEEZ ARE AMAZING! You can watch ,,firework", ,,wonderland" or ,,deja vu". I love firework the most.
Well then, I highly recommend listening to the entire album. It is punk/rock/EDM/House.... you'll love it. I'll gladly watch your reaction to it.
Jongho does most of the high notes, but the other beautiful voices belong to Yunho (the guy sitting in the chair), San (the guy who’s face is on the TV screen and the one who did the speedskating style slide), and Seonghwa (he’s wearing the outfit with the long black skirt). The best way to learn who did which part is to watch the Line Distribution videos.
honestly,, i recommend this entire album

If you love stories, you are going to absolutely love Ateez’s lore! It’s nuts!
The one who did the scremo is hongjoong their leader and from what we know he actually did it 😂 and actually ateez are very diverse group so they do all kind of music but i think u will also love from them black cat nero, rocky and wonderland i hope u will enjoy ur journey with ateez thank u for reacting to them
THE HIGH NOTE WAS THE YOUNGEST MEMBER CALLED JONGHO!!!!!
Yasss thankyou for react sum ateez
Honestly, if you want to get more into Kpop, you can't go wrong with this group.
wait Don't Stop isn't part of the storyline? It's very pirate-y and seems like it follows their story but have ateez said that it isn't?
@@emmylia I think it is, it's just not clear where it fits
@@LadyTiferet yeah you’re right, i’m not sure where in the lore it goes but it does really seem like it is part of it
@@emmylia Oops, you're right!
But yeah I’ve seen some reactors figure out the gist of it from watching their mvs so he might be able to as well
Looking forward to more ateez reactions!

ATEEZ are amazing, I love them.
Hey, guys, I gotta box I think you'll slip in to...
ATEEZ: Nah, we wouldn't fit.....too many walls.
Love these crazy inventive songs.
Thanks for this reaction. The singer Jongho does the high notes most of the time . He is a monster, a king of high notes. Please react to others ATEEZ song. They are amazing. The fandom is called Atiny. By the way I'm an Army and Atiny too.
Bts and ateez are like my top groups, they are just incredible talented, like i just love them.
Id recommend rocky, fireworks, hala hala, or pirate king, but really all their songs are so good you cant miss.
Jongho. The maknae. He's the vocal king
ATEEZ makes anthems
This song is from the program show kingdom… you must see this show
since you said you're an anime fan, I think you would enjoy the music video for The Real by them! the song is also incredible & the mv has a very anime type vibe to it imo.
Ok I'm going to try and keep this as short as I can, can't promise anything....but I'm going to try my damnest.
I am ATINY, fandom name; pronounced AY-TEENY. It is a combo of ATEEZ and Destiny, the guys say, We are their Destiny. ATEEZ means "Everything for TEEangers from A to Z."
There are a total of 8 members.
So the members: from oldest to the maknae
1. Seonghwa-oldest, vocals
2. Hongjoong-leader, rapper, composer, the one with the split blonde and black hair,, and the one who did the "heavy metal scream" as you put it, which I loved.
3. Yunho-one of the tallest at 6'0, lead dancer.
4. Yeosang-he got the lower baritone voice
So you see "Fruit Ninja!"
Ok I know, that was a lot of info to take info, and yet, still haven't scratched the surface of ATEEZ.
