Some people don’t realise THIS IS EVERYDAY! the cleaning, tidying, playing, cooking etc you do little hacks and change up the routine once in a while but 98% of the time this is it!
Girl I never stop cleaning ,cooking, and taking care of my husband and kids. I'm so exhausted and pretty sure I'm depressed. It's been years without a vacation or break longer than a day, yet I should be "grateful".
Dear, I wish I could pop up with some coffee and a hug. But ask for help. Look for professional help if it's the case to take care of your mental health - no matter what you do, the most precious thing you can offer your family is a healthy and happy mom/wife. I'll pray for you ❤
I am completely burnt out. Some days I don’t want to do anything. Keeping up a clean house was fine with my eldest but now I got two. Plus the dog. Its a lot. Husband works long hours and helps out when he can. It feels like I’m the only one hanging on by a thread and keeping my head above water with the house work that it’s like “Well what’s the point, it’s gonna get messy anyways”. I don’t have much support. So I know I need help and more so self care and filling my cup before coming back into organising and cleaning and juggling my babies. You’re awesome! ✨
The cleaning NEVER STOPS! My goodness I don’t remember cleaning this much before. And 😂😂😂I was just wiping the dining room chairs before I came to bed. Comforting to see that I am not alone.
Lol i do this everyday. Mom of 3 under 6. I homeschool as well. What time do you go to bed. Ive fallen into a habit of going to bed late, and i need to break it. But, im having trouble, as i dont want the night to end (everyone is sleep during the night so i get some peace).
I stay home and homeschool my kids, it is a never ending job. Not to mention my husband works away for 3 weeks at a time! I once had a “friend” say “ I could never stay at home and just watch movies all day”… like what in the actual heck lol at the time I had a 5 and 2 year old and was pregnant with our 3rd ( now have 4 children). I literally made a 3 tier wedding cake and cupcakes for my sister in laws wedding for free when I just had my baby a month before lol all while keeping my kids alive, fed, entertained and house clean. Like excuse me mam is that not enough for you lol
Watch movies all day?? Man, it's crazy that people even think that! I homeschool my kids too, plus take online classes, clean my house, drive my mother-in-law to her errands because she can't drive, go to a homeschool co-op and Girl Scouts, take care of our many pets, cook all of our meals, and then after all that I am lucky if I find some time for myself. 😅
@@CK-ij6rx right I swear I’m like when did I last shower, did I eat?? I prepare food and give to my kids and feel somehow that I ate more than I did in a day like no mam that plate of fruit did not end up in your belly you are a chef and that is all lol it will only last so long tho I like the chaos and the kids still want to hang out with me at this age so I’m trying to treasure every moment! H
Needed this ❤❤video. At 18 years in the Army we had to put our daughter in daycare at 11 weeks until i retired 1 year later. Pregnant with baby #2 and working as a contractor. This is all I needed to know in order to quit my job❤❤❤❤
I’ll be honest with you, my day job is so much easier that your job!! I hate it when I hear ‘men’ say ‘ I was home for 4 months, the easiest job I ever did!’ Yeah! It’s easy when you do the bare minimum of housework to leave to your SO on the weekends! And then gaslight about how easy it is or they refuse to do what their spouse demands but want a clean house!
It’s hard at times. But start somewhere and start small. I set my alarm for 30 minute goals. Quick clean of the bathroom, tidy one area/cupboard or even to have a nap when the kids are taking theirs so I reboot my self. ❤
I may get some negative comments from some but once mine are off to school I hit the gym and then shower, clean and if I don’t have errands, I take an hour nap before 2pm, which is when the elementary kids come home (2) then middle are behind them (2) then high school (2). Some days I have to because I don’t want to be drained when everyone comes home ( homework, sports/recreations) and some times I’m catching up on sleep. Plus, once kids are in bed, hubby needs attention too.
Tip. To replace kid Bowls I use snack paper trays. They are super cheap in bulk. Last me forever and helps with the overwhelming task of dishes every day.
The tops of the chairs made me giggle. I have 5 kifs now, but when my oldest (now 17) was little, i couldn't believe how dirty the chairs would get! Before he came along cleaning chairs was just an occasional thing. After him it was almost daily
Ok. Your kids are old enough to put their toys away and should at least be done as part of bedtime routine but ideally when they are done playing. The clothes on the floor. Why? They should be thrown in a basket or hamper at bath time. I know sometimes you get tired of telling your kids stuff but if they can’t learn basic manners at home they won’t be on good behavior outside the home. I raised 6 kids and was a sahm for 13 yrs before I had to go out and get a job. Mine were not angels but I didn’t have to worry leaving them at home alone or going to the grocery store with them. Actually being organized with routines is the biggest thing you can do for yourself and your family. No matter what you do love on them babies because tomorrow they will be all grown up
SAHM of 6 and yes, everyone has their own chores, even our 5 year old. I started letting my kids put their own clothes away around 3/4 years old. I didn’t care what drawer as long as they were not in the floor and as they got older there were different expectations. Cleaning toys was done before we moved to the next thing. Gotta start them young. Mine are now 16, 15, 14, 13, 11 and 5. So, I get a tremendous amount of help from them. It’ll become more manageable as they get older. Let them help you and it’s okay to have a little expectations from them at this age and cleaning your toys once you’re done is age appropriate. You’re doing great! 😊
What if you just not clean for some days? The world will not collapse and you will have more time and energy eith your loves ones. For me, it was a game changer!
I do all this, raise 2 kids (one with type 1 diabetes) and work 55hr weeks, I've done the stay at home Mum thing, it's a holiday that's why I went back to work.
And yet employees are given breaks by law. It's almost like it's draining. If you were to pay for what she does, nanny, cook, cleaner, personal shopper, it would cost an incredible amount of money, and she isn't paid a cent. Would you want her barefoot, pregnant and scrubbing the floor in an apron for you to respect her? Why on earth would she want your respect?
Every single job gets a break. It’s illegal for them not to. Why would you think being a stay at home parent is any different? I’m pregnant and walking down the stairs requires a 10 minute break because my heart is pounding and I get dizzy. I’m sure managing 2 children and a whole home is much worsr
Being a SAHM is a job. I don’t care how she gets it cleaned or what she uses, at least it’s clean. Frozen food every now and then is not going to hurt those kids . It is okay to make some things easier on yourself because she needs time for herself and she also has to be a wife. I think she’s doing great. I am a SAHM of 6 and mine are older but they wash their own clothes and all of them know how to cook, except the 5 year old. In the summer I do have a cleaning lady that comes in every two weeks and deep cleans. I’d rather be spending time with my kids in the summer and enjoying my husband than deep cleaning. Again, as long as it’s done, no one should complain.
