- 20 years ago, in June of 2003, @GarySinise made his first-large scale USO tour to Iraq in support of our nation’s service members.
On the day he departed from Washington D.C., aboard a Northwest Airlines 747, Gary had no idea the impact this trip would have on his life. On this historic trip, Gary was fortunate to visit with troops stationed at Camp Udari, Camp Doha, Camp Sayliyah, and in and around Baghdad. It was the first of over 100 USO tours overseas and across the country that he would make in the coming years. It was a landmark moment in his journey from self to service, playing a pivotal role in the creation of the Gary Sinise Foundation.
20 years later, Gary is truly a Grateful American.
That was awesome. Thank you Gary and all that participate with you in helping our soldiers, first responders and their families. Love you guys.
Gary Sinise took a role as an actor, and he IS SO Lt Dan. But he’s gone so much further for our soldiers, our saviours! He lives the reality of service, every day. Thank you Gary Sinise! Allow yourself peace!
What awesome job you did Gary. Have a blessed day. 🙏😇🌈🌺😊👍💕😎
I have never been a part of the military, but my dad was in Vietnam in '68. He has many stories about the people he met, military or civilian, that remind me of what this foundation has done for veterans of a different war. Thank you Mr. Sinise.
My copy of Grateful American sits on my right at my desk and I look it every day and it always gets to me that one person would be willing to do so much for us and ask nothing in return.I got my copy from Mr.Senise at Ft.Campbell Ky. and although he would never remember me will always be grateful to him. This book is one of my most valued possessions.
Thank you for your service.
You Gary has done and are doing a fantastic effort in supporting who is and have been injured in the soldiers tours of duty.
Past this around until it gets a million views. Thank you Gary for what you do for us veterans. Vietnam veteran.
Oh my I got chills watching this. Thank you for all you do for our military and first responders ❤
Awesome that Justin is wearing a Til Valhalla teeshirt!!!
Love the Gary Sinise Foundation and what it stands for! ❤️🇺🇸💙
Thank you for all you do Gary
This man has been such a blessing to all of our families serving in our military service ❤and 😂I just speak blessings on him and everyone working with him praise God
Christ I miss deployment. He’s amazing. Respect sir.
Geez I remember when Bob Hope started doing USO shows. We used to watch them every time one aired! We loved Mr. Hope and all the stars. Back then he took a lot of actresses and models (for lack of a better term) deessed skimpy , bikinis, short skirts, anything for the guys serving.
Just listening to his book now and it’s neat to see photos of his first trip. He’s an inspirational person. Just his goodness is helping this veteran’s widow get out of her sadness and move forward. Praying for his family with the loss of their son.
Gary Sinise is a real American Patriot and the best friend the veterans have.
