What a humble dude. Never seen or heard of him prior to this episode. What a pure and authentic human. His understanding of “goodness” and positivity and happiness and love and humor is everything I try to live by. It wasn’t until my late teens/ early 20’s I lost my resentment towards my little country hometown in NC and realized that my childhood was amazing.. the pain and suffering I felt growing up was self created! Let everything you think and know just fizzle out, slow down and breathe, and look at life from a purely neutral perspective.. appreciate all of your experiences and find the beauty in every moment and every conversation! The life experience is beautiful once you break down those mental concrete walls and start learning and “living”! There’s an abundance of beauty out there
Beautiful comment thank you

Been following and watching him for many years.. his show on the Outdoor Channel, Bone Collector. I think he won a turkey calling championship when he was young that got him started. Bill Jordan from Realtree Camo.. and Realtree Outdoors TV show, discovered him when he was young.
He sounds like every single Dad at my little league games. Southern as it gets.

If Joe sees this, there's a winery named Arrowhead Winery out in the Austin area. The owner would love you to reach out.... He finds hundreds of arrowheads and other ancient native tools
wow. I grew up with Michael's relatives. His family have always had such infectious positive energy

I am born and raised in East Tennessee and have hunted arrow heads since I was a kid through the 90's. In 98' my brother found a huge solid black ceremonial flint spearhead in perfect shape with no breaks in a plowed field in the holler we lived in
Also every time we found the smaller ones, my dad called "bird shot", so yeah the smaller ones were for attaching to a arrow and fired from a bow
That's worth some bucks. They're digging at an archeology site near the Chesapeake Bay. What you're explaining sounds what they've found. Nice! 👍
I grew up on farm in East Tenn and me and my brother found dozens. Still have few
Went to go live with my dad in Alaska when I was 13, spent 3 years living in a log cabin in North Pole, Alaska. Moved to Florida after the navy and went to see my dad in Georgia who was visiting my grandpa. We were driving along this lake there when my dad said he used to find arrow heads along lakes like this in Arkansas when he was a kid. Within the hour I found an absolutely PERFECT quartz arrowhead on the bank. Years later I had it on a necklace hanging from an 8 point deer rack and my wife knocked it over onto the tile floor and cracked it. Heartbreaking.
tldr: "my wife broke a rock I found"
Where did you bury your wife at ?
13-16 in Alaska hmmmm, i bet i know what you were doing to keep warm. I hope you didn't knock her over, it was an accident chill bro.
Did you just tell your whole life story as a preface to bitching about your wife? Maybe she's sad that you're broken.
@@marcpriest85 We're all broken. They were holding up arrow heads, talking about how perfect one was and how much work it woulda took. I HAD a perfect arrow head, always marveled at the craftsmanship, and wondered how old it was. This video made me relive it all. Painful every time I think about it, but definitely a 1st world problem
I'm ready for the end of the year show with the bone yard guy!
I appreate all the episodes you recorded for us all over the Xmas holidays :) it’s a really nice treat! Thanks!

Just won't go away will it. Funny that isn't it. 16 species of human or human type species have existed on earth. That we know of so far. Because they have the bones in museums and science books. The last 3 were found fairly recently, with 2 being "highly unusual" neanderthal type and another human skeleton of tiny proportions found in cave in Asia, similar to one from cave in Indonesia. We are giants compared to those skeleton. More beings bones will be found, guaranteed. Some species overlapped through history with interbreeding taking place. So what makes u think modern humans have been the 'only ones' and indeed still the only ones. We have never, and still aren't, the only ones. People need to educate themselves a bit before coming up with their misguided conclusions.

What a great conversation! I've been a hunter (all methods) since...1985... and I still feel the same excitement when I go into the deer woods. We still go out back country & tenting it. It gets harder the older you get, but it's still just as rewarding. We've never had the money to hunt private, and we're not always successful on public. But, we would never trade it for the city!
Love these guys. Oh, and...I'm a woman.💋

Joe should pursue an interview with senator Josh Hawley, a senior representative from Missouri. He understands and calls out the corruption in insider trading and big corporations. Would be a great conversation and a good insight into a good side of politics we don't usually see.
I've seen him doing good work grilling squirmers, but never heard a podcast mention his name. It's weird.
Yes, that would be cool. But, as I understand it, Hawley is tough to pin down, because he runs so fast. When he needs to, Hawley can really turn on the afterburners.

holy crap that has to be a record for this podcast.
i have never heard of this man but i want to buy him a beer, super awesome podcast i didnt realize it was 2 and a half hours, felt like 20 min
I'm really enjoying listening to this episode. Having been raised in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri (Willow Springs) Waddell's accent is very similar to the accent of the people when I was a kid. I left Willow Springs at 16 in 1962 and never returned. My brother and sister were practically raised by our Grandpa and Grandma on their farm which was about 15 miles outside of town. My brother went back there in the 1980 and was dismayed to learn Grandpa's small 80 acre farm had at that time been torn down and rebuilt with multiple apartment buildings. I decided I'd rather keep the images of Grandpa's farm in my mind as it was, unmolested with what is now there.Anyway, Waddell's accent is pure 'country' and so much fun to hear. No,, I lost my accent within a few years of leaving there BUT it does return whenever I'm around and conversing with someone who has it.
Ol Waddy is as good of a human being as they come. Got to meet him several years ago at the ATA show. My sons got to meet him at the Deer and Beer fest in Illinois earlier this year. Great guy and really enjoyed this podcast. God bless
This guy was on those late 90’s early 2000’s Bill Jordan’s Realtree Outdoor hunting shows who made a nice living with the Bone Collector brand.
Will Primos with Speak The Language is another hunter who made bank with his brand.
Up here in New York, the Remington 742 and 7400 30-06 with the Kwik Site see thru mounts are still very popular hunting rifles after being discontinued. I think he should call Remington, make a Bone Collector Remington rifle edition, like he used that is still part of many hunts.
I grew up watching Waddell and Jordan hunting shows.. At that time i was around 10-11 years old and my dad is an avid hunter so I was right there with him. I loved those shows and wished they still made them like that. I remember when the first tree lounge came out and bill jordan wound hunt out of them my dad got one and my god it was so heavy haha! Loved this pod, I can relate with ol Waddell.
