- Whilst in isolation i got so bored that I watched the highlights of the first series of the circle... And it was very cringe...

I recently watched that series for the first time. I absolutely wanted you to win. You consistently told Dan to save himself, and tried to do the right thing. You had such a struggle and you were genuinely upset about tricking people. That is what the public saw, and why they really respected you. If Dan had won, I would have been okay about it. But you still deserved the win, and the public agreed. Glad you have been able to take a step back and begin to feel better about it all. You played the game, but you're a decent human being and you couldn't hide that.
You MADE this season and no other season has come close tbh. Absolutely deserved to win. You were great TV and it was a game. You played it perfectly.

I wasn't even aware of "The Circle" before Netflix produced the US version. I was hooked immediately and started watching the first season of 'The Circle UK' about two weeks ago. And after two episodes I was sure you'll go far. I was hoping that you and Dan make it to the final because I loved watching your bond getting stronger day by day and in the end seeing Dan struggle with it about whether it's real or not. Needless to say that I'm happy with the outcome. ;) Stay the way you are, you seem like a really nice person and I hope that your friendships with the others will last a lifetime. :)

I feel for you that you’ve gone through it (mentally) since this - it’s a big consideration what this can do to a person internally even for the good it’s brought you in other aspects of life . you playing such a fantastic game is a great element of the season ! loved watching you on the season and have since , big load of virtual support being vibed your way 💓💯
Alex I just ended up binging all of the Circle the last few weeks and you really made series 1 a joy to watch. I'd already been spoiled that you won it beforehand but it was so entertaining to see, especially the reactions of other players to your catfishing. I, like so many other people, was gutted when Dan reacted so angrily ,but it's great to hear you became friends afterwards. What was so heartwarming in the show was how even though you were catfishing it was your personalities that were gelling which is one of the reasons Dan's reaction was a surprise, but of course he at the time didn't know whether anything he'd heard from you was 'real'.
Anyway was sorry to hear about the mental issues you had in and after The Circle, having had to self isolate because of Covid I completely sympathise, its like being in prison - but you also had your conscience weighing on your mind. I was personally so happy you won and happily surprised when you also got the publics vote. Even though you were catfishing you not only played a great game but you were so entertaining to watch and everyone could see the real Alex was a top chap and very funny to boot, we saw the guilt you went through and the genuine messages. Anyway just wanted to give props. Really hope they resurrect the UK series on Netflix as I've loved every series so far, its such an amazing concept. Great to see you and Millie are doing well, let us get out of lockdown soon, watching the Circle in lockdown is a bit too close to home sometimes! Would be great to see your reactions to other series of the Circle as well, I'm going to have to start the US series just to get my fix!

Thank you for sharing this, I love finding out the "unedited" feelings of what is going on and I love finding out that my assumptions were dead on correct (even though NO ONE listens to me when I say them the instant I saw it the first time). Well done my good man, you should do this episode by episode because I would love to know your feeling about it all because yall had such little actual time conversing and how emotions are so hard to understand in a text and can be taken so many different ways. I also understand in editing they are leading the feelings and meanings. I really really really loved you doing this... an HELL NO, DO NOT ever get over it. This was special and YOU did it young man. You did an amazing job and it was wonderful watching you. THANK YOU!!!
PS, I loved the UK version best because it came out on regular schedule instead of in 4 time slots at a time like the US and Brazil. I think that a winner of the first season YOU were a perfect bar to set for excellence. Again thank you for doing this (even though I did want Genelle to win but I understand her pliight as a new mom) You did The Circle proud!!!

I've only recently discovered the Circle and watched series 1 over the last week. It was really cringey, bitchy and incredibly funny. It's like they made the 1990's IRC into TV drama.
