ow it has been a while since I used the omni channel. That is also a very sweet plugin but more based on ''best / preferred sounds'', but stil versitile. The vsc-1 is way more flexible without doubt and I think more usable in more situations although it has less of a sonic footprint, other than the preamps ofcourse.
a little correction tho, that " HIGH Q " in the high shelf in the eq section is not 'High quality'' i believe it's high Q (Bandwidth). doesnt make sense anyway to have 2 button for ''high quality' both in preamp and eq separated. just my 2 cent
Hey! Gamechanger may be a bit much but this plugin has A LOT of usable goodies;-) CPU is around 8% on my cubase cpu meter in windows 10 on my amd3900x when I load in 1 instance. on mac m1 it's 12% usage for 11 instances together...... so yeah.
@@lewbaldwin Nice! Do you measure inside reaper with task manager? For instance When I get 8% on the cubase meter it barely registers on my windows task manager cpu meter.
Well credit for that idea goes to fuse audio. It is the first sentence in the manual literally, and that immediately made so much sense it needed to be the concept. Otherwise I would have used a kitchensink ;-)
Hey Tyler, sure you can use it on the masterbus. It’s not really common to use a channel strip on that bus, but there’s also no reason not to do so. If it gives the result you’re after, go for it.
desert island plugin huh 🤔 there are no modulation effects, delay, reverb, or limiter on this plugin so i dont think this would make for a very good deserted island plugin however, i think something like the unfiltered audio byome or even triad could quite literally do everything
Is Sonnox Claro the ONLY EQ you need? ua-cam.com/video/mF1fsZ-8tBY/v-deo.html
What is your desert island plugin?
how does this compare to the Scheps OMNI channel?

I love this plugin. My favorite channel strip I’ve ever owned. Made me a Fuse Audio fan!
it is good isnt it. Love it as well.

You are right! Made an error in saying that, high Q bandwidth is the one I should have said.
hello incredible review, I would like to know if the eq section emulates an ssl console or if it adds harmonics?
WOW!!! This one looks really promising and even a game changer. Thank you very much for the video mate!!! How is it on the CPU?

@@whitenoisestudio yes, just looking at the little % readout within the FX window (bottom left)
Great video concept man: one plugin to take to a desert island? Genius.
Great review also. I'm going to take a look into this one.

Sounds good, but Console 1 is my desert island channel strip.
good choice!
Doesn't High Q mean high bandwidth rather than quality?
Do you recommend using this on master bus or is that just optional?

;-) there’s limiting in this one, but the rest not ;-) best desert island plug-in would be a daw ^^
Maybe Eventide Ultrachannel will tick all your boxes?
