Cleaning up Pedretti No6 Hushpower moderated/suppresed/"silenced" 12g shotgun.

My new old Pedretti No.6 Hushpower 12 guage. Cleaning up what looks like years of built up deposits in the moderator & on the barrel ahead of a sound/decibel test in the coming week.

Is there any chance that the outer tube will corrode, or be torn apart?
Are the threaded part on the back and the front centering part just brazed on the barrel?
Is the tube just hollow upfront or are ther any baffles inside?

How did you :soak: the moderator, did you immerse it completely? Did you put anything inside to clean it, a bit like cleaning the inside of a gun barrel? Do you find it shoots low? Many thanks, Paul

Hi there. I coated it internally with BoreTech Shogun Blend, twice, and ran it through a few times with 000 wire wool. That cleared most crud out; then I sacrificed a couple of old tea towels. A lot like a barrel clean, just bigger and more amusing honestly.
As for shooting low, yes, somewhat but I'm getting used to it. Will do a video with it and some subsonics soon, when work allows!

How quiet are these compared to a standard ?

With standard rounds it's a little quieter. I tested this and saw a drop of 4dB. With subsonics though it's night and day.
