I'm so jealous you got to go to this place! I've been fascinated by the Nights in White Satin ride for ages. It was so abstract, only lasted less than a year, and explicitly about emulating taking psychedelics (??).... kind of wild it existed. Rip in peace 😔
Freestyle music park was torn down last year and I work at the FedEx warehouse they built on the property. I used to explore the abandoned theme park area before it was torn down. The only thing left is the sign on the corner of the street.
@max's dumpster dive Yeah, that's actually the exact spot they built the warehouse. Before it was torn down it still had some of the paper cutouts from monstars, and the walls had arcade artwork still. Other than that most of the walls were peeling or stripped bare for souvenirs and such, except for all the old nasty merch piled everywhere.
There are a lot more other issues with the park. Not enough to do to justify an 8 hr. stay. Fireworks were later that night. Your could do the park in 3-4 hrs. Over promised investors a quick return on investment. Licensing fees aren't cheap " AS mentioned" NOT offering discount tickets to locals. Poor advertising. They could have made better ads + shown them @ the various world wide HR Cafe's. The few ads they had were short/lame ones.
my favorite music related theme park in south carolina is definitely the

No way, that’s crazy!!! Did they tear down the mall part that the dark ride was in?
