One day I got mad at my daddy and told him that he never has ever told his kids that he loves them. He got mad at me did not talk to me a while. Well he got Alzheimer's and one day when it was my time to take care of him I was leaving to go home and he hugged me and said.... I love you. I started bawling of course. But it made me feel so good🎉
Albeit shocking, that was so sweet of you telling him you love him. My grama had a joint checking account with her son. I once pointed out to her that they were both on the account and she said "well I don't know why he's on my account, he's just a man I once dated"! I laughed so hard I had tears running down my legs. Lol!
