Statin Alternatives: These Drugs Help Lower Cholesterol Minus the Statin Side-Effects

- Heart disease remains America's number one cause of death, claiming one out of every five lives lost. However, doctors say many of these deaths are preventable if we make certain changes to our lifestyles, such as lowering cholesterol.
More than 200 million people worldwide take a statin drug because of its ability to significantly lower LDL, or so-called "bad" cholesterol.
However, statins aren't perfect medicines. Research shows up to 29 percent of statin users complain of side effects. Muscle symptoms, like pain, weakness and cramps, are by far the most common, but others include stomach problems and fatigue.

My cousin is a size 6 and shes on statins . She also competes in triathlon regularly Id extremely fit , It not about the exercise or weight it’s genetic.
@@nancydrew1102 Sometimes genetic. Doc wanted to put me on statins because of high cholesterol. I sorted my diet, started pushing heavy weights, yoga and pilates, stopped smoking. No drugs required. Been normal levels ever since.

the side effects are not worth the risk to lower cholesterol for me FOR I ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL TAKING STATINS now the doctor no longer prescribes any statins for me AND I AM DOING JUST FINE

only last night I said to my husband I had started getting lower stomach cramps an hour or two after eating dinner...and taking my Statin... I've also found out CBD oil is an 'uptake inhibitor' of many meds, including statins (like grapefruit). This means a much higher amount is circling your blood with less benefit. CBD has made a huge difference in autoimmune inflammation, but it needs to be researched more.
Please stop taking Statin, it's a Satanic medicine which damages the liver eventually. Please take garlic instead. Take care.
