Very much looking forward to this episode, phenomenal actor.
Frank Harper=great actor, diamond geezer-simple as-being a 61 year old Chelsea man from Peckham i remember the film wiv denzil washington, was a bloody good film although his london accent was a bit ropey but try and forget that and enjoy the film, and by the way always thought (my favourite actor in my favourite film=Michael Caine in Get Carter-the 1971 on3 not that crap0y re-make wiv stallone, that was a f*****g comedy!hahaha) is a Chelsea fan like me,says it in his biog. on utube...well done Terry and top man Frank, cgeers all the best,Piers a.k.a. Chopper p.s. i know Piers is a posh name but mum and dad were proper petrolheads so i was named after a very young brilliaht charismatic English racing driver called Piers Courage, cheers👍👍😀😀
32:10 fucking brilliant scene that was as well as film…! Lovin the channel to Tezza keep up the good work 🫶🙌👊🏻🤌🏻

Hardly
Met Frank last year at a convention and had him sign my Lock Stock poster and asked him to add the quote "Golf..perfect way to ruin a good walk" and being such a fan I just instincvely muttered the next line "Winston Churchill said that" to which Frank said while still signing "It was Mark Twain actually" haha
Frank harper is a massively underrated actor
Says who?
Terry you've absolutely nail this podcast. What a down to earth bloke Frank Harper is. St George's Day is one of my absolute favourite gangster movies of all time and I really do hope that Frank writes a sequel to it
Thanks Edward
Wicked film
I've always loved watching Frank Harper and his unmistakable cockney accent.... its been great watching this interview and getting to know the man behind the hard characters he's played....Great interview from a genuine Frank Harper Fan ! Thank you
The in football factory when he is mowing the grass and his wife and kids are watching always cracks me up for some reason. Loved this podcast, Terry you are a diamond 💎
Amazing thank you!
I love how how this podcast uses clips of the people the guests are talking about . It puts it a class above everyone else.
Nice one mate appreciate the positivity!
Frank Harper, what a great actor! His voice is pure South East London! Very humble considering his talent and onscreen presence
That scene in football factory where Frank and Tamer are at their sons football game. The verbal exchange is an iconic piece of the hooligan genres history. Balls to being PC lol that film is s masterpiece, and everyones on their top game. Frank very much included
Great scene and a great film!
It's underrated as well.
Absolute classic
Is political correctness in the room you right now Hun?
Apparently most of it was ad-libbed and Tamers response to franks line about the kebab shop is genuine anger
That scene between Frank and Roland in the Football Factory in the pub was classic. Another great interview Terry. By the way, if Foot Soldier went into space, I would pay and go and see it.
Nice one mate and Footsoldier in Space sounds fun
Love Frank to bits. A Room for Romeo Brass, This is England, Lock Stock, Rise of the Footsoldier, a proper British legend in his own right. Looking forward to this one my son. Keep up the good work Terry lad.
romeo brass one of the most underated british films of all time
Will do Mc Mondo
@TheDreamer1980 couldn't agree more. Watched this movie by pure accident not long after its release. Suffice to say that movie changed the way I pick my films and opened the door to Meadows and Considine, never looked back.
@@mcmondo yeah it had a real impact on me early 20s , got obsessed with it was doing a lot of gear and watched it either on ecstasy, speed or coming down mid week... Actually saw it after dead mans shoes which is also great but something about room for Romeo brass that I was more drawn to even though dead man shoes is probably a " Better" Film... Those 2 were def Meadows best work I think, paddy best performance Romeo brass and first film he ever did, raw, talent... Always thought Morrell was the coolest dweeb to ever exist... So many great lines... Andrew Sims was great as well as, was Frank... Go dark On me now.. I wonder what would of become of Morrell!! He was def capable of a, massacre haha
St George’s day is a good one
I was lucky enough to meet Frank at a convention recently. He was a genuinely nice bloke and made me feel at ease as I was very nervous. Another great podcast!
Amazing and thanks for the feedback and comment mate
I think I first noticed Frank Harper in a TV comedy about a boy band in which he played the band manager. James Corden was one of the members of the boy band, and Olive from On The Buses played Frank's gypsy mother, who lived in a traveller camp. The best line I can remember him delivering was "She doesn't tell fortunes and sell lucky heather. She sells scrap tin and amphetamines."
great dialogue
🗣I still quote that line!
I remember having a drink with frank in the downham tavern in the 90s lovely lovely geezer
Not even watched it yet but gonna say the best guest you've had on to date.
Quality actor and i think he have made the movie "St George's Day"
Nice one King
Great to see Frank Harper! Everything I've seen him in has always stuck with me. You just know he's a real un. Shout out to Terry n all, great host 👍
Nice one!
Great interview Terry .
Frank, yourself, and so many to name are part of a golden era .
Pure class . 👍
Thanks for the message and feedback Gary!
One of my top actors ever. You know the film will be awesome when Frank harper is a part of it.❤
Totally perfect for the roles he played
I love Frank's films, he's been in some clasics hes one of the best actors to come out of England in my opinion nice to see him looking well. Hope to see some more Football Factory & Charlie Bright type films from him again one day, the British film industry is missing films like that these days
Wow an amazing interview! Congratulations on the podcast. Really enjoyed watching Frank's movies and learning the journey behind his career on this podcast 🙌
I still cut my grass like billy bright
Two top geezers, Frank and Terry, it doesn't get any better!!!
Thanks Yogi
One shot the Other bangbang
Hes got the build of a long distance lorry driver and is absolute class.
Absolutely loved this. Bloody brilliant. Thanks both.
What a good Ep. British crime cinema wouldn’t be the same without him
True Story
Great Frank Harper 👏👏👏👏
I’ve seen all his films many times 🙌
Goodbye Charlie Bright....2001.
Absolutely superb interview.. so relaxed and natural…..
Great British Actor
Thanks for the feedback Steven
One of the best podcasts yet.. Smithfields was like another world, worked in the city mid 80s 90s on night shifts, used to go there at 06:00 for breakfast inside the market... the language and banter was off the scale.. took my posh boss there one morning ... I think he felt really intimidated although there was no problem.. he had never seen or heard anything like it..
Nice one Mrr thanks for your comments!
Amazing pods Tel...I thought I knew a lot about crime in essex/London...but you've certainly broadened my knowledge. Keep going mate, your absolutely smashing it...😊
Nice one Robert
Lots of love for DOG
Top bloke
From the 😮 market to St George’s day ❤
Looking forward to this one 👊🏼 mr Stone
@@gman5523 thank you for your correct comment
Another absolute banger Terry Podfather, well played, and big up Frank (you wanna wait for the game, or....). Loving these podcasts!
On the plus side, the features and images you add in when a name or place is measured are great at adding a bit of context for the viewer. So for that baldy, I applaud you.
There goes the Mega Melt again giving compliments now. Thank you soooooooo much
Really hoped this one would happen but was never sure. Made my week! Frank is a living legend 🎉🎉🎉
the bob hoskins cab story had me in bits 🤣
Today is bollocks and being afraid of being cancelled you're allowing this to happen.
BECOME BECOME BE
I really loved this interview and found it cool u worked in Smithfield. Because when i was a kid i went to Smithfield a lot and really loved it the whole feel of it. Which u would understand. Wots really funny is iv just seen u in a clip from the news an ur covered in claret humping hind quarter. So cool.
Happiness and peace Russell 🧡
This interview was absouluely fascinating. Thank you.
A movie about a bank robber is bound to be more entertaining than one about an author suffering from writers block or a university lecturer falling in love with a student 😅
Very underrated actor frank good man!! I actually went to school with his brother Paul in downham and played in the same school football team good old estate back in the day loads of characters!! Frank made me laugh when he said that he lived on the posh part he was right I remember exactly where the harpers lived behind the old bp garage bottom of downham great podcast lads wish him all the luck in the future 👍⚒️
Frank asking his wife in FF if she thinks he's alright is great acting very underated
Rate Mr Harper massively, like the fact that he worked a lot with my personal fave director Shane Meadows on possibly one of the most underrated films ever "Twenty Four",excellent film with the legendary Bob Hoskins plus A Room for Romeo Brass and a wicked cameo in "This is England",fantastic.
36:20 great actor Frank. Very underrated film Goodbye Charlie Bright
you`re knocking these interivews out the park Terry! when we gonna get the main man craig fairbrass on?
Thanks mate, no clue he has been invited on!
Just watched the episode with Frank Harper. Brilliant watch, really enjoyed it. 👍
Cheers Dene 👍
Watched ROTFS Vengence last week when I was off work with the shits. Good film. Didn't expect the twist at the end. And the last fight in the club was good, seeing Pat meet his match and get his ass kicked.
How long did it take you to watch the film, assuming you had to keep pausing often and run to the kharzi?
Probably about 7 times during the whole film. At one point, it blasted out with so much pressure that it splattered all up the bathroom wall, true story.
@@rnw2739 ...so in total, it probably added an hour onto the film.
Frank is a top actor. I'm now gonna listen to this pod after a couple of chillums and relax nice one, Tony 😂 👊
enjoy geezer

Nice one Noddz well done geezer!
@@terrystone743Sir Turbo … another banging episode! I didn't even get up for a pee!! 🤣 Is Franks Dad still around? ‘Coz if he was a Millwall player any time in the 50's he will know my Dad Pete Collins (semi-pro) who was a lifelong supporter of Millwall (so much so the flowers on his grave are blue & white) and played for quite a number of London teams and his best mate was Mel Hopkins (pro for Spurs) He even played for West Ham! (True story!!! No BS) My Dad would have been 90 in 3 days time, so by my maths I reckon that's around the age Frank's Dad would be? We moved from SE16 Rotherhithe in 1975/6, Dad was a Bermondsey / Southwark boy through and through, never missed a Millwall game unless he was playing elsewhere … curious to know if Franks Dad would remember him.
Can't tell you what a brilliant idea you had Terry doing these podcasts and Frank is a gent as you are Terry

True fact for you now, I followed FH from the days of Lock Stock, and only stumbled onto ROTFS because I knew he was in it (not enough screen time imo) brilliant actor, and his work on SGD prove hes not just a great actor, he has other skills too. He'll always be Billy Bright in my world
