I actually rehomed my Trio to a lady that had another Trio and had some experience breeding them so I'm hoping to have babies soon. I will keep you posted
Excellent informative video! Tha k you for this looking forward to gettinf my first one very soon and was hoping one would be ok in my 36x18x18. Appreciate this alot!
@@Dragon_Whisperer you totally do that in spades! Yours is the first video I have seen that actually talks about them have claws not toes like geckos. And that mentions they alide along branches using their claws to grip. Thats like imperitive to know what selecting branches for their habitat! Thank you alot for that ^_^
Please help to share my channel. There is so much misinformation out there and I try to be very very thorough and pull my research from multiple sources and I'm very lucky to be able to communicate with Clint from Clint's reptiles and Dāv Kaufman on a fairly regular basis.
Clicked on this because I’m interested in attempting captive breeding them. Thanks for doing research on them. Good video. Not sure why there was singing but..
thank you so much for watching and thank you for your support. Let me know if you have any questions I can help with. The singing is just to amuse my nieces and nephews and to try to make my videos a little different than the common care videos!
Apparently these guys will eat crested gecko food, Pagea and such. I just got a pair and I'm going to see if they will take after I make sure they're eating their bugs.
@@Dragon_Whisperer Good to know, thanks for the feedback! I have some of those little mushroom ledges in there so I'll throw some in for 'em for sure. :D These little guys are so interesting, it's crazy to see a reptile that is so interested and unafraid of you.
Yes mine are wild-caught and it's almost all you can find right now. I am breeding them though so I should have some captive-bred babies here in a couple of months.
I only had a 25-watt or maybe 50 white basketball because their basking spot does not need to be that high but it will be in the hot spot in the tank so you need to use a very low wattage basking bulb. They definitely need UVB and I recommend in 18 or 24 in strip fluorescent style fixture. Thank you for supporting the channel!
To be honest even though one perished in shipping the three I got from underground reptiles were very healthy and active although one remained skittish even after months of working with it the other two came around nice but all three were nice and healthy with no issues even though they were field collected
Ok I saw on underground reptiles website that they have juvenile captive bred ones but they’re out of stock so I’m might have to get some wild caught ones. Thanks for the response and the video
They were supposedly sexed by the breeder and I have only had them about 2 months and I have not seen active copulation or found any eggs but I have had some Zoom calls with Clint Laidlaw from Clint's reptiles who is breeding them and he says they do not cannibalize their young and take great care of their eggs so I should just let them be and wait until I see babies. I have heard that the males have some type of orange Scale near their Vents and some type of orange coloration on their toe pads but my guys, even though they come out and let me handle them, are still too active for me to be able to see these things clearly for myself. If you find any definitive characteristics or any other research please let me know
I actually keep complete crested gecko diet in a little bowl all the time and I keep a small dish with dubias and mealworms in it that they cannot climb out so they always have food available
No I actually rehomed my three to a lady that had another breeding group and we were hoping that putting them all together would increase our chances of captive breeding them and so far they still have not produced any offspring.
From what I have heard they are easy to breed and they do not cannibalize their young so you can leave the eggs in their enclosure until they hatch and little babies start running around! hopefully you will find some but if not I will have some captive-bred babies available later on this spring. Perhaps try NERD.
"We're gonna get right into it" .... five minutes into the video :)
Love the tree skinks but that intro was way too long
Love your educational style! Unique and very entertaining! Keep on keeping on! Thank you.😊
Thank you for your support!7
Great information and Loki is so cute! The singing was a fun touch ☺️🙃
Thank you so much! I do not profess to be able to sing, I just do it to make my videos different and my nieces and nephews get a kick out of it.
Any Babies Yet?!?!? I Want Some 🤘🏼🤣💃🏻🤺

Yes mine always have Pangea or repashy complete crested gecko diet in multiple spots in their enclosure and they eat it almost daily

Great video thanks for the info .
Are there any breeders you know of
No. Some big companies like Underground Reptiles or LLC Reptiles have them sometimes but I don't know of any captive breeders right now.
@@Dragon_Whisperer thank you for the info
Dude, you about lost me with the karaoke. Something for you to enjoy alone. Loved the reptile info though!
Were these guys wild caught? Heard on Clint’s Reptiles that it’s really hard to find captive bred.
Yes mine are wild-caught and it's almost all you can find right now. I am breeding them though so I should have some captive-bred babies here in a couple of months.
What kind of uvb and basking do I need for these guys

Intro was way too long, and the signing should go. Really think you'll do well if you focus on the reptiles.
Thank you for your input. I will take all of that into consideration. Thanks for watching
Are there any captive bred sources of these lizards that you recommend. I cannot find any that are in stock
No. All the ones I can find our field collected or wild-caught is well. Hopefully Clint's reptiles will have some in the next few months

I have three of these guys but I'm not sure how to sex them. Any advice on that? Have you had any luck breeding them so far?

Are these guys hard to breed? Im super interested in them and they're not really available in Canada

Where can I get some
Try Underground Reptiles
Are males or females larger?
Usually the males but the females can get big when they are gravid.
