Man With A Mission is such a great band. Every OP that they have done is such bangers. Don't make fun of them now. Their pronunciation might not be 100% accurate but it is close enough. Other bands wouldn't even have the balls or knowhow to sing anything in English other than at most a few lines.
Always funny to me americanos who can only speak one language makes fun of people who can speak two or three. Besides the singer just drew the word out to fit the tempo of the song, it's accurate, hard word to not say fast and make it sound the same. Thanks for the band name gonna check them out.
Fumikage Tokoyami, also known as the Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi, is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero. It's almost like you're paying the same attention as you do in your RWBY reactions....

I like how they complain about the riddle being easy and how he should just get it, but in the end they were wrong lol. You don't read the second line it's the second word. Also The rest of the book isn't important so they didn't translate it. Even in the manga it wasn't translated.
In fact, the content of the book is very detailed. The comics I read have translations. You can read it. Although it does not affect the main line, it is really interesting. It will have a deeper meaning when paired with it.
The issue is that because a new My Hero movie is coming out, they are releasing episodes out of order. EVERYTHING this season would have made more sense if they had done so. Even the first 12 episodes. You would have gone from a Hero student training arc into the villain's "training" arc known as My Villian Academia.
They would get a wall of text failure if they tried to translate the whole thing. Much easier just to do the important parts. We first heard of Destro in season 4 when Gentle was listing off infamous villains. This also included legendary overlord, All For One, and the peerless thief, Oji Harima. It sounds like they were all established villains from a while ago. Later that flasher was ranting about Destro's book before Hawks knocked him out. With a name like Metal Liberation Army set in a world where 80% of people have super powers its pretty safe to say they have super powers. I question if there is anyone doesn't have super powers in that group. Keep in mind anyone you randomly see walking down the street is very likely to have some sort of super power, even if they don't normally use it.
Man this arc is going to be a rough pop quiz for the Normies. Can they remember all the prior mentions of the meta human liberation movement? Based on this season’s earlier revelation that AFO created OFA (a s2 reveal) I have zero expectations. It’s not their fault since they watch a ton of shows, but 🤷🏽♂️ Edit: as a manga reader I’m truly shocked with all the slide n go talk in post.
38:45 Pretty sure only Endeavor's copy had the code and he could get away with it due to the number one hero being too busy to read it all as an excuse to have an odd one out *and* the fact that he calls out the second part, not word, which most people would, like Chris noted, assume the second half of the book.
Firstly, I already CANNOT wait for season 6. Secondly, Destro is very familiar. They've been sprinkling it throughout the series. But the name was fully said recently. Season 4, episode 25 I believe. That one exworker, who's quirk was shame, said it right before Hawks took him down. 🤘🏾
From what we know so far, the Meta Liberation Army was a thing during the early days of quirks. Back then, people with quirks were called meta-humans and quirks were called meta-abilities. They were seen as monsters. So they rose up and there was a whole meta-liberation war. The first time we saw Hawks in action, the villain with the Shame quirk was screaming something about meta-liberation. We've also heard of Destro from Gentle Criminal because he read about the history of villains and by extension, Destro.
Hawks who loves Endeavor the most. It always hits hard their arcs and story lines. They're my absolute favorite characters and their arcs are my favorite in the manga. By far, the two most interesting characters to me, and probably the main reason I keep reading the manga.
oh! okay so basically the scene between dabi, hawks, and best jeanist happened before the christmas ep, it is a flashback that hawks is remembering now on new years. whatever happened between hawks and jeanist is why best jeanist is now missing. also the training arc is fine, but there was the scene with shigaraki that was shown after the training arc ended and that shigaraki scene happened during that arc and before the endeavor agency arc which is being shown. the arc with shigaraki is going to be shown after this arc with endeavor but the order in the manga was: training arc, the events with shigaraki (which was during the training arc), and then the endeavor agency arc.
Just so you know it wasn't this arc and the training arc that were swapped, it's this arc and the next arc. The arc that is after this one takes place before this one

@@jakewhite1760 I mean it’s a bit weird but I agree, it’s nothing major. One one hand it’s very understandable since stress of syllables doesn’t quite work the same way in Japanese, but on the other hand it might not even be a language thing really, but more a music thing (fitting the words with the melody).
Cool fact, Tokoyami is voiced by Josh Grelle who also voices other anime characters that don't sound the same; Issei from High School DXD, Shido from Date-A-Live, and Fuuka from Quientessential Quadriplets.
Yes. Totally subtle. If I wasn’t a manga reader I wouldn’t know shit. It’s beyond subtle. It’s even misleading I’d say. Asking if they have Quirks is hilarious. It would be a twist 8d they DIDN'T have Quirks. Finding that many people without powers would be nearly impossible.
It's 20% of the *world* who is quirkless. In Japan considering the land size it must be under 0,5% of the pop , I'm not good at maths but that would be of course impossible for them to have quirkless people in it.
Right that was the first thing I thought. To be fair GI Joe comics are published by marvel, though I don't think they'll be associated with the main marvel continuity or the MCU. But I guess since they looked up "Destro Marvel" and probably saw a G I Joe comic screenshot, that's all they really have to go by,

4:50 lmao no The training arc is in the right place, the two arcs that were switched are this endeavor one and the one right after Deku is talking about the black whip now and it manifested in training so you can figure out that that's not the case But I don't blame you, just miscommunication with whoever you were talking with
I think "The Departed" with Hawks is super accurate. Also, I'm really want to know what happened to Best Jeanist I don't think he was killed, but they need to make it look like he is.
Fun fact that whole war that is gonna happen was hinted since season 2. Because in the beginning of season 2 episode 1 deku is standing on a side of a cliff in front of an army of villains.
As a small correction, the 1a vs 1b arc is in the same place as the manga. It’s this arc with endeavor that has been moved before another arc that will likely now be the end of the season. Most people think it’s to do with the new movie since it takes place after this arc, and that they wanted to end on something more exciting since the arc they skipped us a fan favorite
I think it’s a fair assumption that some of the Metahuman liberation army don’t have quirks. Going by the 80% metric, that’s still 20k quirk-less members of the meta human liberation front. Although it of course caters towards those with quirks, it’s not crazy to assume that quirk-less people with power would join to take advantage of it, given what we know about the movement at the time. Destro is apparently very popular so I imagine he has/had a message for those without quirks. I’m anime-only so this is just going off the most recent episodes.
Destro is probably familiar for y'all because Gentle Criminal talked about him briefly last season, as one of the famous villains from recent history. Hawks also captured a criminal last season who had the Meta Liberation book on him, and noted that the book had grown in popularity recently. Fun fact that's not a spoiler of any kind: Destro's mom was the one who gave the name "Quirk" to everyone's powers. The previous name for them was "meta ability," which is where the army's name comes from.
Yes, he listed Destro as one of histories greatest villains alongside All for One “the legendary leader” and Oji Harima “the peerless thief.” He called Destro simply “the leader of the Meta Liberation Army.” Then at the end of season four we see Hawks casually stop a man who got inspired by the Meta Liberation War book being reprinted to attack his office naked. So Destro and his group have been set up for a little while now
Here's the problem with them switching the arcs around. By this point we're supposed to know more about the Liberation Army and why they're a threat. But in the anime, we know nothing significant, so things can be a little confusing.
Yet the "new" name hasn't been revealed, has it? Still, I much prefer this order, finishing with the best arc is the better option anyways, going from "happy" to full sadness to "happy" again doesn't feels right, can you imagine people's face if they just showed a christmas party and the endeavor agency after all the stuff that just happened with the villains? Also, now the series doesn't has more school or happy stuff after this (just a few things like the quirks showcase)

The code isn't meant to be difficult. Hawks is being monitored, but the book he gave Endeavor, isn't. So he needed to code it so that he can give Endeavor the book and a hint without it sounding or looking like he's trying to tell him something to the people listening.

It will have a deeper meaning when paired with it.
the official one actually translate but the scans was not but still content of the book not really that important
endeavor has an agency at "endeavor's hero agency", who would've known..
The issue is that because a new My Hero movie is coming out, they are releasing episodes out of order. EVERYTHING this season would have made more sense if they had done so. Even the first 12 episodes. You would have gone from a Hero student training arc into the villain's "training" arc known as My Villian Academia.
tsukuyomi is the hero name so hawks does know his name
Tsukuyomi is Tokoyami's hero name
The manga translated the whole text. Someone can pass it along to them if they want
The Normies are really living up to their name this episode.
Burnin’s VA being Amy from Sonic X is an absolute win
That's why she sounds so familiar!
Endeavor is using his big brain and channelling all of his detective instinct, just by reading that one book. 😁
Just so you know it wasn't this arc and the training arc that were swapped, it's this arc and the next arc. The arc that is after this one takes place before this one
26:57
Saving this for the far future when they actually see everything we know will happen.
There were no subtitles for that part of the highlighted book lines in the original Japanese subbed either so no worries
Also, why are you guys criticizing the way a non-native English speaker pronounces some words as if it’s like a conscious decision he made or something? Lmao. So he pronounces carousel differently, he’s Japanese. Get over it lol
@ exactly. Even more reason to not get all goofy and giggly about some slight pronunciation differences in a foreign artist’s song lol
22:21 book about Destro that Hawks gave with message was mentioned in season 4 too.

@Scarlet Disaster it's the scene with hawks and purple dude and person in shadows
Yes. Totally subtle. If I wasn’t a manga reader I wouldn’t know shit. It’s beyond subtle. It’s even misleading I’d say. (None of the deep analytical channels guessed close to the truth if they’re anime-only’s...some were corrected by their discord/editors/whatever but those who didn’t have an outsider source didn’t cone close)
@Scarlet Disaster That's because the arcs were switched, the scene wasn't mysterious at all in the manga.
I only got it on my second watch. Slide N Go just seemed to derpy of a design to be a bad guy 😄
Asking if they have Quirks is hilarious.
It would be a twist 8d they DIDN'T have Quirks.
Finding that many people without powers would be nearly impossible.
Totally dependent on the population of the MHA world as a whole. But finding that many in *one* place specifically would be improbable
It's 20% of the *world* who is quirkless. In Japan considering the land size it must be under 0,5% of the pop , I'm not good at maths but that would be of course impossible for them to have quirkless people in it.
@@Lostouille also, even if the found that many quirkless people, if doesn't mean that all of them just wants to join the liberation army
Destro was a G. I. JOE character.

The training arc is in the right place, the two arcs that were switched are this endeavor one and the one right after
Deku is talking about the black whip now and it manifested in training so you can figure out that that's not the case
But I don't blame you, just miscommunication with whoever you were talking with
I think "The Departed" with Hawks is super accurate.
Oh. My. God. I never put that together until now.
Oh my god i need to check that out asap
No that was coincidence. Hori said he planned it around when season 3 was airing
I really appreciate this effort to understand everything during the reaction this week. Hope y'all can keep it up.
Suraj and Mickey are right about Destro, he was mentioned before in the show i don't remember when exactly but i think that Gentle talked about him.
So Destro and his group have been set up for a little while now
@@nolangerrans6083 Thanks for the confirmation, i thouth that i was making stuff up.

I dont care when they talk with each other, I love watching the friendship, Im bothered when Suraj tries to make himself more interesting by trying to say something catchy super often or have the most distracting overreaction and Im annoyed when Mickey talks over dialogue so he can insinuate hes too smart for this show while ignoring spoonfed information. The code isn't meant to be difficult. Hawks is being monitored, but the book he gave Endeavor, isn't. So he needed to code it so that he can give Endeavor the book and a hint without it sounding or looking like he's trying to tell him something to the people listening.

It should probably be noted that the anime decided to swap story arc order around. The arc that was suppose to come before this arc explain the liberation army and the league of villain.
The Endevor Agency Arc is supposed to happens at the end of season 5. I’m glad that anime only viewers will get the story nice and easy to read, but I’m a little bit upset that the best part of this season is still a little bit away.
The fact that the arcs have been flipped pissing me off cause they care so confused about things that wouldn’t be confusing if the anime was going with the right order.
