Great reaction.🦊 This is the official video so the audio is from the studio. The live version with Su's live vocals, the Kami Band's instrumentals more to the fore and a couple of slight time changes is even better ... but live BABYMETAL is always special.🤘

For me L&D is another great pop rock ballad with beautiful SuMetal vocals piercing into our hearts. Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound. Here's some info about this song:

This was a world premiere at BabyMetal Returns The Other One - Makuhari Messe 2023 setlist, along with "THE LEGEND".
Later on during live concerts at PIA Arena MM Yokohama (April 1st - Fox Day and 2nd) they announced a new member, finally MomoMetal become official, and she's no longer an avenger, we were all happy for her.🍑❤️

Awesome! This song has became one of my top Babymetal songs. Su sounds absolutely amazing in this song. Also, I highly suggest you check out an actual live version for the audio on your own (Official = studio audio). The visuals are similar, but the audio, especially the instrumentation, and Su's vocals just hits waaay harder.

"Light and Darkness" is way outside my alley musically and It took me a few extra listens until it started to grow on me. But it eventually did, hitting me emotionally thanks to Su-metal's amazing vocals. Needless to say that the live version is even better.

This song is very underrated. I have always liked hard rock and metal but have always disliked pop music. The thing with Babymetal is, they do pop differently and it is so much better than 'normal' pop. I'm always there for the metal. I'm going to like it automatically. And to be honest, Babymetal's metal is very good but it's not far superior to other metal bands. It's not what makes them amazing to me. It's the pop side that does it. It's the fact they can make something I don't normally enjoy like EDM, techno, etc. and make it so enjoyable to listen to. It's like that unexpected joy of having a good time at a party when you were expecting it to be a complete bore.
i agree 100% with you about the other kinds of music. like you i don't listen to certain types of music but i love it when Babymetal does it. weird huh. to me that is why Babymetal is not just a metal band but a performance band doing whatever they want to do and good at all of it.
