Nah, I really appreciate hearing this from another Bratz lover. I share the same sentiment. My biggest complaint is how weird the skintones look. Kiana is way lighter than she used to be (or so it seems). I love my Bratz Pride dolls, but Nevra has a very odd undertone. How are we not doing better in the skin tone department?? I know they're dolls, but representation is a big deal, c'mon now.
Don't delete this! Those who seem upset have not had anything to say about the very valid points you made about skin colour and culture. I think you have decent concerns, and it will affect people differently and probably even more if they personally feel affected by skin colour changes and Indigenous erasure. Keep it up girl! i'm really happy about this repros, is a great chance for people that can't afford the originals to get this dolls. we don't know anything until they are released. skin color could look different because of the lighting the person was using. also bringing rainbow high or shadow into into this is pointless . i love bratz but they could never lol
I think the reason why she mentioned rainbow high/shadow high is because MGA entertainment owns both Bratz and RH. and it’s very easy to compare what they’re doing with one brand to what they’re not doing with the other. to me it seems like they’re putting more effort into the other doll lines they have while Bratz are kinda just put to the side. I personally wish they put the same amount of effort they put in OMG dolls into Bratz…

I don’t understand why they’re giving us these repros, but they’re not giving us all of the things that come with the box. For the GNO repro we only got two outfits instead of three. And the screenings still look bad. Not rock angelz bad but nevra’s eyes look so bad. I’m convinced mga is just rushing these repros out and not putting the energy into making new doll lines.
OMG finally someone who has a pretty similar mindset as I! People don't understand that if we just accept the dolls as they are now, then we'll never get better quality ones because we're enabling MGA to keep producing subpar releases . It's nice to have reproductions to allow new collectors to get the dolls, but what we're getting is just unfair. The QA is unacceptable, MGAE makes over 9B a year in revenue, they are not a small company.

the repros are okay tbh i prefer the og dolls any damn day but, for new collecters it can be helpful . ill be grabing nevra and etc maybe kumi or kianna but yea that my opinion
You’re completely right, it is a great opportunity for those to get these girlies for the outfits and such but I feel like those who don’t have them deserve so much better. It makes me severely sad that these dolls are rushed.

personally i dont hate the repros cause i recently got into bratz recently and i dont wanna spend $10000000000000000+ on a doll with just one piece of her outfit so these repros are a good way to get them
GIRL YES! It was such a slap in the face when they changed Kiana from being Indigenous to being Black. Like you said, there's nothing wrong with her being Black, but they should not have taken away her Indigenous identity. If they wanted another Black Bratz doll, they could have made her Afro Indigenous. That would be super unique, because there's not much Afro Indigenous representation at all.
I completely understand your rant coming from a Bratz fan myself… I think this whole release is so confusing because it’s random they just picked four dolls from the archives and put them together… I don’t really understand what’s going on here?!?! to the point you made about Kiana; I think they should’ve announced that she was biracial. they should’ve said that she was half Native American and half black that would’ve made more sense. in the end I don’t really know how to feel about these reproductions like I’m happy to see Bratz on the shelves again but I’m so disappointed with the quality control
thank you sm for making this video! i’m glad i’m not the only one who shares the same sentiments. the dolls are rushed and are obviously lower quality than the OGs. me and others were ripped to shreds for voicing our complaints, we were called ungrateful and that we can “never be satisfied” i ended up leaving the fb bratz group as a whole. it makes me sad seeing others accept these obviously rushed cashgrab repros.

Right like her being black doesn’t take away her being native like so many Afro Natives exists I have some relatives that are Afro indigenous. They should most definitely include more and talk more of her indigenous side. I agree they focus too much on RH and also I can’t stand the video remakes they do on IG of like euphoria pane highlights of awards shows put that energy into doing better with your dolls and maybe come out with some new stuff!!!
As someone who grew up with bratz and had a lot of their dolls they look fine they look mostly the same. You should be glad they ain't going as horrible as a lot of other reboots... As for kianna I agree I can't believe they did that, changing what she is I can understand why ur upset.
I'm happy that they're releasing so many Repros, but as other people have said, the Dolls they have chosen to recreate seem incredibly random. I would love to see the Dolls the fans voted for like Pretty N' Punk and Wintertime Wonderland instead of these.
I feel so dissappointed with what they did with Kiana's release, she deserved better tbh. I'm black but I personally don't take the 2021 insta account confirmation as canon because it's like the people running the Bratz accounts today know nothing about the og bratz. They even get their birthdays and zodiac signs wrong sometimes. I don't like the fact they promote them as this y2k baddie aesthetic when there's more to the essence of Bratz than that. It's clear that the fans are keeping the Bratz brand alive because it's like they bearly have a management team anymore.

i agree with you on everything you said and it’s so sad to see mga putting all this effort on details in every doll line BUT bratz, this reproductions are just an unashamed quick money grab.
The only positive thing about the repros is that people can get them for a decent price now, but a lot of the accessories have been left out and it’s pretty sad. I’m hoping it’s just the lighting in the photos, but if that’s not it, it’s gonna be a huge problem. Kiana and Nevra both have beautiful and unique skin tones that need to be represented properly.
Oh and I didn’t know Kiana was only considered to be Black by some,every time I see people talking about her they referred to her as a mixed Afro indigenous girl
I’m still buying the repros, they may not be as good as the original but I’m happy to have them in my collection. Hopefully they produce more Bratz dolls because I’m tired of buying overpriced original dolls it’s just not worth the money. I do not care what people say, charging a favourite doll $100 or more is gross and Kiana is $600 on eBay. I can’t buy her anywhere else because she’s rare :(

Jade and Yasmín look so damn weird, and the lack of a 3rd outfit but then the same outfits that are missing being shown in the back of the box... just ridiculous
And they even originally intended to repro all 3 outfits and we know that so because of that it feels like we really got snubbed like, it wasn’t even an original intended cut it was cut later after they made the packaging/the promos for it. *adele voice* We could’ve had it alllll
I think they are definitely doing better then before. It’s good to give them a chance when they are widely released . I like to see a review on the new doll, or seeing it in irl before giving a final opinion . Still respect any other opinion tho . Just be respectful abt it, which I think u were .
Of course I respect your opinion and I truly apologize if I didn’t make that clear enough. I was just so upset with Kiana. But I have to say, it’s really disappointing how these dolls came out and really unfair to those who don’t have them because they’re missing accessories, details, and the faces aren’t that great. But some people don’t care about that. But I hope in the future, just little hope I have they will not rush them anymore and give them the money and effort they deserve.

I agree that the repros need to have better quality. What they did with the Rock Angelz for example was unacceptable but I'm glad they will continue releasing old lines for those who couldn't have Bratz as kids or don't have the money for the old ones. And hopefully improve the quality too.
It feels kinda racist that they're lightening the skin tones and getting rid of the aspects that make them people of that culture. MGA clearly isn't giving these dolls enough attention and needs to before something bad happens that can permanently kill the brand.
I don't consider that Black history month post as canon, because we all know people managing Bratz have no idea about the brand, I mean they don't even know when their products go out. They post about new doll release after 2 weeks since people have been finding them. I don't even follow that "Bratz" account because it acts like some "y2k yass besties". Other MGA doll brands are doing so good because they have actual design teams who fight for them to get details they deserve. Stephen and Lora(LOL designers) had to fight to get Melrose glasses to be functional, Bratz? Their manager just sends a old doll to factory, and tells them to replicate it with the shittest material available.
Totally agree with you! I’m a new Bratz collector (didnt like them as a kid 😅😅) and I’ve sent a lot of repro’s back. Only one I like is 1st edition Jade, she is adorable 😊 seeing your original Nevra I totally get your point, she is gorgeous! I’m planning on not buying anymore repro’s, I only kept Jade and one decent Nevra.
I get what you mean about the completions of some of them like Nevra, they should have at least matched it to the skin tone of the original. (Especially after the controversy of the original Sasha’s box art being too pale and stuff) but I still personally don’t think it’s fair to just say “they may as well shouldn’t have even made reproductions”. I’ve been collecting Bratz for around 2 years now and I’m over the moon that they’re making a comeback, it’s really good news for new Bratz collectors.

I had a chance to get Kianna on Ebay but I waited to long. I'm still angry at myself. When she first was released I thought she was black because of her name. But I do remember that they did announce that she was native indigenous. Years later they did a black history post with Kianna, Nevra, Fianna and Sasha I was surprised. I understand whole heartedly how disappointing it is to have your culture erased. I would always get so angry when I couldn't find Sasha and Jade dolls in the store because they believed no one wanted them. Yes I agree on the quality issue too. I think they use a different material to mold the dolls which is why they can't get the skin colors correct that's just a theory because of the soft heads and bodies but they definitely need to try harder!

I love the repos! I can’t afford bratz otherwise and I’m a massive perfectionist and completist so I want new in box bratz with all the parts together rather than mix and match second hand brats with cut hair and stains.
It's definitely not too harsh to point out the Indigenous erasure. I do hope the photos are showing the skin colour wrong too, because that would also suck. There could be reasons though, that are to do with what materials they have available, etc, but it would be nice for them to explain that too!
What the Bratz community doesn’t understand is these repos (in my opinion) are for the new collectors. Not for people who already own the OG doll. Yes it’s sad about kianas skin tone but we don’t even know if that’s how it’s gonna look in person because the white lighting that person had. Plus I rather pay $20 for that kiana than 500 nib or 100 otb for a complete kiana. Not everyone had the money like that, and not everyone cares about the small minor details. It’s just a doll Mary, if we want the OG we’ll spend the extra coin. Yes it’s sad MGA is doing us new collectors wrong but at the same day, the Bratz are back! so far in my eyes, they look really good compared the the old ones. No they don’t look perfect but for the price, I’m sure it’s fine.

Good for you if you think it’s fine not saying you shouldn’t. Babe it isn’t all about being happy or not it’s about what we deserve with this company. It’s also not about having money it’s about having patience to find the doll. It took me months to find my Kiana for an incredible deal. The prices are where they’re at because of impatient people.. the pictures are perfectly clear what are you talking about I showed them through my phone so obviously there’s gonna be some darkness with another camera. On the insta page pretty clear and bright pics.. the leaked stuff always looks like the actual release. Bratz are not back that’s not Bratz it’s a cash grab babe if you support it great good for you, but most of us want better.
New collectors still deserve to not be ripped off. It’s weird that a reproduction wouldn’t actually be a replica of the original but instead a watered down replacement. This doesn’t usually happen in the toy world. Other billion dollar companies release repros that include *everything* the original toy did. What we’re getting from MGA right now? It’s not right, in terms of consumerism and how the toy industry operates. They could easily be doing better but I guess if you’re comfortable with corporate greed then so be it. Of course a wonky repro for $30 is the lesser of two evils when compared to a pristine original for hundreds. You can want to get the new repros and still know that what this company is doing is wrong. I too am psyched Bratz are back, trust and believe. I’ll also take what I can get and grab the unacceptable repros. Excitement and disappointment can coexist. Customers aren’t satisfied and it’s becoming a universal frustration in the doll community. It’s fine to not share that sentiment but invalidating those who do share it- on their own channel- isn’t going to be received well.

She’s actually darker now because those photos you saw before were just the prototype dolls and prototypes are known for being lighter, so yeah she’s definitely going to be the same skin color as the OG. And it may be a money grab but I’d rather pay 30 than 400 anyway. So yes I’ll keep supporting Bratz
2022-3 doll reviews from me, who has 10 of the repros. first off kiana is black and indigenous/ native american, such a slay doll and I wish I could have had her but she wasnt supplied in australia. Also the dolls truly are not bad, the photos never do them justice, so i wouldnt use them to judge them, its just better to see in person. but besides that, I have had 3 gno (sasha was gifted to someone), and 3 repros from season one, 2 from season two, kumi and nevra, and have had meygan as well (who was gifted to someone), 2 sweetheart meygans, and 4 rock angelz repros (yasmin was gifted to someone). (disclaimer; I wash every doll I get, from box or otherwise, and I ALWAYS blend the dolls hair, unless it is already okay or disguised by the hair texture [wavy or curly hair hides ugly choppiness and is generally just less choppy] (usually I keep in original haircut but fix the box hair, so this will probably entail a lot about hair.)) only complaints are the hair being choppy and needing to be fixed, like every other doll line especially bratz. talking about the season 2 repros, nevra and kumi are my faves and I like them slightly more than the original ones, I think the updated face on kumi really makes her look so much prettier, and nevra is still so cute, she just has the open lip mold, which is something that happened on bratz for a while (closed lips + open lip mold) i dont understand the choice but it doesnt take away from how she looks. as for meygan her bang area was upsetting, but a boil wash immediately fixed it, as well as some point cutting. GNO: almost as good as original, the only downside was the lack of third outfit (for jade it went to nevra for some reason) and possibly the doll bodies, they could have been articulated or something just other than the weird clumpy glitter. also they have pretty heat resistant hair so thats nice, and the screening is so good + the eyelashes dont even look weird and blunt like on the old ones. the lips are slightly more small than the old ones too. a bit too much crimping and a bit too much front section rooting on miss cloe. sasha was pretty much perfect though she was most prone to wonky faceups, (which is fine because they weren't particularly bad, just made choosing the perfect one a bit tough) season 1 repros: sasha jade and cloe all look cute and fine, but they have a weird greasy texture to their hair that needed to be washed and then dry shampooed. prefer sasha's original orange lips but shes still very cute and im happy to have her. Rock angelz: new batch faces, sasha and roxxi are so cute, sasha is about as good as the original except her hair is better and softer, as well as it being noticeably longer and having more streaky-ness (rather than the mass of blonde on the original which was a very cute look but needed to be blended better). roxxi's face is a large improvement to the fishy look of the original but her hair is yucky and needed so much boilwashing (it was way too crimped and huge) i gave her a really cute wolf-cut layered wavy haircut with bangs and love it, but i want to get another one to see how straight i can possibly get it. cloe is a bit of a disappointment, she too has really cute hair, (needed to be blended like every other bratz doll) and really good clothes, but her face- more specifically her eyes look verry off, shes still pretty shes just not rock angelz cloe. it sucks because the original has such a pretty screening and it just was not replicated well. yasmin, on the other hand was replicated perfectly, her hat is just stupid and barely fits, it usually just jumps off, and her hair was the most offensive because of the choppy ness. both yasmin and cloe use the same face screening in the originals so I dont understand why they do not share in the repros... sweetheart meygan: have two (mostly for the articulated bodies) and they are really cute (stock pictures do them NO justice) they look way less washed out irl, and they have a lot of detail, and the box is just so cute. one really sad thing is that on both of them they have thin thin rooting, and one of them has really fluffy hair that disguises that, and the other has thin hair that it basically just has to stay up otherwise she looks bald.
also trust me the skintones are not different for the repros (kiana and nevra) they only appear that way because of lighting, I think bratz now is undoing a lot of its whitewashing, for example the new pretty and punk releases are all darker, especially yasmin, who returned to her normal skintone, although the original pnp yasmin was lighter.
also the hair beads, and random extra outfit that was just preplanned pieces for another line, and the lack of third outfits were scrapped because mga wanted buyers to distribute them at "affordable prices" which is basically ridiculous amounts of money for less than the originals came with, for less of the cost when they where released.
Tbh i just want new designed bratz doll lines with different clothing genres/aesthetics + other reproductions and not just y2k aesthetic doll lines (ik most fans of bratz are y2k lovers but still i want more). Like for example maybe a gothic style doll line but knowing mga and how little they do research for anything with clothing and culture, they'd probably confuse emo and punk to be the same as goth tho i doubt mga would ever release a gothic inspired doll line
Indigenous doll collector here. Yes 👏 say it louder! They did take that away from us. They totally black washed her. When will it be our turn to get more representation? It outraged me too. Also the only use I have for repos are the extra fashions for my originals since I don’t often buy them in their original outfits. The only repos they did okay with are the girlz nite out 🤦🏻♀️ and even they could be improved. They didn’t release Kiana with her jewelry because they turned her into a different race because I guess there’s no place for us indigenous girls in the bratz world 😒
I hear what you’re saying, but Kiana being black doesn’t take away her being indigenous . I come from an Afro indigenous background , and just because she’s another race doesn’t mean they aren’t showing representation…but I do understand that you would like to see a doll that is FULLY indigenous without being anything else such as black like Kiana.
1st I love ranting videos. 2nd I am pretty disappointed in these and the GNO re-releases. I wanted GNO Dana’s 3rd outfit so bad. Like why are they required to skimp on important things like outfits and jewelry? TBH I am just hoping they will re-release the overpriced/HTF dolls. I would rather have the doll with some QC issues than pray endlessly and pay hundreds for them. I literally emailed MGA and said if they rerelease SD/CF Felicia, some P4F dolls, Tennis Cloe/Jade, LIC, Treasures, etc. they would make more money than they know what to do with.
I did not know that Kiana was supposed to be black. How strange. I have that doll. She is gorgeous and she will always be Native American for me. That's why I bought her. Anyway, I am fed up with MGA. The rush for profit is becoming exhausting. I am sick of seeing dolls full of defects on shelves.

i'm really happy about this repros, is a great chance for people that can't afford the originals to get this dolls. we don't know anything until they are released. skin color could look different because of the lighting the person was using. also bringing rainbow high or shadow into into this is pointless . i love bratz but they could never lol
I think the reason why she mentioned rainbow high/shadow high is because MGA entertainment owns both Bratz and RH. and it’s very easy to compare what they’re doing with one brand to what they’re not doing with the other. to me it seems like they’re putting more effort into the other doll lines they have while Bratz are kinda just put to the side. I personally wish they put the same amount of effort they put in OMG dolls into Bratz…

I don’t understand why they’re giving us these repros, but they’re not giving us all of the things that come with the box. For the GNO repro we only got two outfits instead of three. And the screenings still look bad. Not rock angelz bad but nevra’s eyes look so bad. I’m convinced mga is just rushing these repros out and not putting the energy into making new doll lines.
OMG finally someone who has a pretty similar mindset as I! People don't understand that if we just accept the dolls as they are now, then we'll never get better quality ones because we're enabling MGA to keep producing subpar releases . It's nice to have reproductions to allow new collectors to get the dolls, but what we're getting is just unfair. The QA is unacceptable, MGAE makes over 9B a year in revenue, they are not a small company.

the repros are okay tbh i prefer the og dolls any damn day but, for new collecters it can be helpful . ill be grabing nevra and etc maybe kumi or kianna but yea that my opinion
You’re completely right, it is a great opportunity for those to get these girlies for the outfits and such but I feel like those who don’t have them deserve so much better. It makes me severely sad that these dolls are rushed.

GIRL YES! It was such a slap in the face when they changed Kiana from being Indigenous to being Black. Like you said, there's nothing wrong with her being Black, but they should not have taken away her Indigenous identity. If they wanted another Black Bratz doll, they could have made her Afro Indigenous. That would be super unique, because there's not much Afro Indigenous representation at all.
I completely understand your rant coming from a Bratz fan myself… I think this whole release is so confusing because it’s random they just picked four dolls from the archives and put them together… I don’t really understand what’s going on here?!?! to the point you made about Kiana; I think they should’ve announced that she was biracial. they should’ve said that she was half Native American and half black that would’ve made more sense. in the end I don’t really know how to feel about these reproductions like I’m happy to see Bratz on the shelves again but I’m so disappointed with the quality control

thank you sm for making this video! i’m glad i’m not the only one who shares the same sentiments. the dolls are rushed and are obviously lower quality than the OGs. me and others were ripped to shreds for voicing our complaints, we were called ungrateful and that we can “never be satisfied” i ended up leaving the fb bratz group as a whole. it makes me sad seeing others accept these obviously rushed cashgrab repros.
It’s peoples choice to buy them or not. I’ll definitely be buying them because I can’t afford the overpriced original dolls.

They should most definitely include more and talk more of her indigenous side. As someone who grew up with bratz and had a lot of their dolls they look fine they look mostly the same. You should be glad they ain't going as horrible as a lot of other reboots... As for kianna I agree I can't believe they did that, changing what she is I can understand why ur upset.
I'm happy that they're releasing so many Repros, but as other people have said, the Dolls they have chosen to recreate seem incredibly random. I would love to see the Dolls the fans voted for like Pretty N' Punk and Wintertime Wonderland instead of these.
I feel so dissappointed with what they did with Kiana's release, she deserved better tbh. I'm black but I personally don't take the 2021 insta account confirmation as canon because it's like the people running the Bratz accounts today know nothing about the og bratz. They even get their birthdays and zodiac signs wrong sometimes. I don't like the fact they promote them as this y2k baddie aesthetic when there's more to the essence of Bratz than that. It's clear that the fans are keeping the Bratz brand alive because it's like they bearly have a management team anymore.

i agree with you on everything you said and it’s so sad to see mga putting all this effort on details in every doll line BUT bratz, this reproductions are just an unashamed quick money grab.
The only positive thing about the repros is that people can get them for a decent price now, but a lot of the accessories have been left out and it’s pretty sad. I’m hoping it’s just the lighting in the photos, but if that’s not it, it’s gonna be a huge problem. Kiana and Nevra both have beautiful and unique skin tones that need to be represented properly.
Oh and I didn’t know Kiana was only considered to be Black by some,every time I see people talking about her they referred to her as a mixed Afro indigenous girl
I’m still buying the repros, they may not be as good as the original but I’m happy to have them in my collection. Hopefully they produce more Bratz dolls because I’m tired of buying overpriced original dolls it’s just not worth the money. I do not care what people say, charging a favourite doll $100 or more is gross and Kiana is $600 on eBay. I can’t buy her anywhere else because she’s rare :(

Of course I respect your opinion and I truly apologize if I didn’t make that clear enough. I was just so upset with Kiana. But I have to say, it’s really disappointing how these dolls came out and really unfair to those who don’t have them because they’re missing accessories, details, and the faces aren’t that great. But some people don’t care about that. But I hope in the future, just little hope I have they will not rush them anymore and give them the money and effort they deserve.

I agree that the repros need to have better quality. What they did with the Rock Angelz for example was unacceptable but I'm glad they will continue releasing old lines for those who couldn't have Bratz as kids or don't have the money for the old ones. And hopefully improve the quality too.

It feels kinda racist that they're lightening the skin tones and getting rid of the aspects that make them people of that culture. MGA clearly isn't giving these dolls enough attention and needs to before something bad happens that can permanently kill the brand.

I don't consider that Black history month post as canon, because we all know people managing Bratz have no idea about the brand, I mean they don't even know when their products go out. They post about new doll release after 2 weeks since people have been finding them. I don't even follow that "Bratz" account because it acts like some "y2k yass besties".
Other MGA doll brands are doing so good because they have actual design teams who fight for them to get details they deserve. Stephen and Lora(LOL designers) had to fight to get Melrose glasses to be functional, Bratz? Their manager just sends a old doll to factory, and tells them to replicate it with the shittest material available.
Totally agree with you! I’m a new Bratz collector (didnt like them as a kid 😅😅) and I’ve sent a lot of repro’s back. Only one I like is 1st edition Jade, she is adorable 😊 seeing your original Nevra I totally get your point, she is gorgeous!
I’m planning on not buying anymore repro’s, I only kept Jade and one decent Nevra.
I get what you mean about the completions of some of them like Nevra, they should have at least matched it to the skin tone of the original. (Especially after the controversy of the original Sasha’s box art being too pale and stuff) but I still personally don’t think it’s fair to just say “they may as well shouldn’t have even made reproductions”. I’ve been collecting Bratz for around 2 years now and I’m over the moon that they’re making a comeback, it’s really good news for new Bratz collectors.

I had a chance to get Kianna on Ebay but I waited to long. I'm still angry at myself. When she first was released I thought she was black because of her name. But I do remember that they did announce that she was native indigenous. Years later they did a black history post with Kianna, Nevra, Fianna and Sasha I was surprised. I understand whole heartedly how disappointing it is to have your culture erased. I would always get so angry when I couldn't find Sasha and Jade dolls in the store because they believed no one wanted them. Yes I agree on the quality issue too. I think they use a different material to mold the dolls which is why they can't get the skin colors correct that's just a theory because of the soft heads and bodies but they definitely need to try harder!

I love the repos! I can’t afford bratz otherwise and I’m a massive perfectionist and completist so I want new in box bratz with all the parts together rather than mix and match second hand brats with cut hair and stains.
It's definitely not too harsh to point out the Indigenous erasure. I do hope the photos are showing the skin colour wrong too, because that would also suck. There could be reasons though, that are to do with what materials they have available, etc, but it would be nice for them to explain that too!

What the Bratz community doesn’t understand is these repos (in my opinion) are for the new collectors. Not for people who already own the OG doll. Yes it’s sad about kianas skin tone but we don’t even know if that’s how it’s gonna look in person because the white lighting that person had. Plus I rather pay $20 for that kiana than 500 nib or 100 otb for a complete kiana. Not everyone had the money like that, and not everyone cares about the small minor details. It’s just a doll Mary, if we want the OG we’ll spend the extra coin. Yes it’s sad MGA is doing us new collectors wrong but at the same day, the Bratz are back! so far in my eyes, they look really good compared the the old ones. No they don’t look perfect but for the price, I’m sure it’s fine.
Still not an excuse. Us collectors deserve to have decent dolls not half assed ones. As someone who isn't able to collect the OG's because of financial issues I do understand your point.

Good for you if you think it’s fine not saying you shouldn’t. Babe it isn’t all about being happy or not it’s about what we deserve with this company. It’s also not about having money it’s about having patience to find the doll. It took me months to find my Kiana for an incredible deal. The prices are where they’re at because of impatient people.. the pictures are perfectly clear what are you talking about I showed them through my phone so obviously there’s gonna be some darkness with another camera. On the insta page pretty clear and bright pics.. the leaked stuff always looks like the actual release. Bratz are not back that’s not Bratz it’s a cash grab babe if you support it great good for you, but most of us want better.
New collectors still deserve to not be ripped off. It’s weird that a reproduction wouldn’t actually be a replica of the original but instead a watered down replacement. This doesn’t usually happen in the toy world. Other billion dollar companies release repros that include *everything* the original toy did. What we’re getting from MGA right now? It’s not right, in terms of consumerism and how the toy industry operates. They could easily be doing better but I guess if you’re comfortable with corporate greed then so be it. Of course a wonky repro for $30 is the lesser of two evils when compared to a pristine original for hundreds. You can want to get the new repros and still know that what this company is doing is wrong. I too am psyched Bratz are back, trust and believe. I’ll also take what I can get and grab the unacceptable repros. Excitement and disappointment can coexist. Customers aren’t satisfied and it’s becoming a universal frustration in the doll community. It’s fine to not share that sentiment but invalidating those who do share it- on their own channel- isn’t going to be received well.

She’s actually darker now because those photos you saw before were just the prototype dolls and prototypes are known for being lighter, so yeah she’s definitely going to be the same skin color as the OG. And it may be a money grab but I’d rather pay 30 than 400 anyway. So yes I’ll keep supporting Bratz

first off
kiana is black and indigenous/ native american,
such a slay doll and I wish I could have had her but she wasnt supplied in australia. Also the dolls truly are not bad, the photos never do them justice, so i wouldnt use them to judge them, its just better to see in person.
but besides that, I have had 3 gno (sasha was gifted to someone), and 3 repros from season one, 2 from season two, kumi and nevra, and have had meygan as well (who was gifted to someone),
2 sweetheart meygans, and 4 rock angelz repros (yasmin was gifted to someone).
(disclaimer; I wash every doll I get, from box or otherwise, and I ALWAYS blend the dolls hair, unless it is already okay or disguised by the hair texture [wavy or curly hair hides ugly choppiness and is generally just less choppy] (usually I keep in original haircut but fix the box hair, so this will probably entail a lot about hair.))
only complaints are the hair being choppy and needing to be fixed, like every other doll line especially bratz. talking about the season 2 repros, nevra and kumi are my faves and I like them slightly more than the original ones, I think the updated face on kumi really makes her look so much prettier, and nevra is still so cute, she just has the open lip mold, which is something that happened on bratz for a while (closed lips + open lip mold) i dont understand the choice but it doesnt take away from how she looks. as for meygan her bang area was upsetting, but a boil wash immediately fixed it, as well as some point cutting.
GNO: almost as good as original, the only downside was the lack of third outfit (for jade it went to nevra for some reason) and possibly the doll bodies, they could have been articulated or something just other than the weird clumpy glitter. also they have pretty heat resistant hair so thats nice, and the screening is so good + the eyelashes dont even look weird and blunt like on the old ones. the lips are slightly more small than the old ones too. a bit too much crimping and a bit too much front section rooting on miss cloe. sasha was pretty much perfect though she was most prone to wonky faceups, (which is fine because they weren't particularly bad, just made choosing the perfect one a bit tough)
season 1 repros: sasha jade and cloe all look cute and fine, but they have a weird greasy texture to their hair that needed to be washed and then dry shampooed. prefer sasha's original orange lips but shes still very cute and im happy to have her.
Rock angelz: new batch faces, sasha and roxxi are so cute, sasha is about as good as the original except her hair is better and softer, as well as it being noticeably longer and having more streaky-ness (rather than the mass of blonde on the original which was a very cute look but needed to be blended better). roxxi's face is a large improvement to the fishy look of the original but her hair is yucky and needed so much boilwashing (it was way too crimped and huge) i gave her a really cute wolf-cut layered wavy haircut with bangs and love it, but i want to get another one to see how straight i can possibly get it. cloe is a bit of a disappointment, she too has really cute hair, (needed to be blended like every other bratz doll) and really good clothes, but her face- more specifically her eyes look verry off, shes still pretty shes just not rock angelz cloe. it sucks because the original has such a pretty screening and it just was not replicated well. yasmin, on the other hand was replicated perfectly, her hat is just stupid and barely fits, it usually just jumps off, and her hair was the most offensive because of the choppy ness. both yasmin and cloe use the same face screening in the originals so I dont understand why they do not share in the repros...
sweetheart meygan: have two (mostly for the articulated bodies) and they are really cute (stock pictures do them NO justice) they look way less washed out irl, and they have a lot of detail, and the box is just so cute. one really sad thing is that on both of them they have thin thin rooting, and one of them has really fluffy hair that disguises that, and the other has thin hair that it basically just has to stay up otherwise she looks bald.
also trust me the skintones are not different for the repros (kiana and nevra) they only appear that way because of lighting, I think bratz now is undoing a lot of its whitewashing, for example the new pretty and punk releases are all darker, especially yasmin, who returned to her normal skintone, although the original pnp yasmin was lighter.
also the hair beads, and random extra outfit that was just preplanned pieces for another line, and the lack of third outfits were scrapped because mga wanted buyers to distribute them at "affordable prices" which is basically ridiculous amounts of money for less than the originals came with, for less of the cost when they where released.
Tbh i just want new designed bratz doll lines with different clothing genres/aesthetics + other reproductions and not just y2k aesthetic doll lines (ik most fans of bratz are y2k lovers but still i want more). Like for example maybe a gothic style doll line but knowing mga and how little they do research for anything with clothing and culture, they'd probably confuse emo and punk to be the same as goth tho i doubt mga would ever release a gothic inspired doll line
Indigenous doll collector here. Yes 👏 say it louder! They did take that away from us. They totally black washed her. When will it be our turn to get more representation? It outraged me too. Also the only use I have for repos are the extra fashions for my originals since I don’t often buy them in their original outfits. The only repos they did okay with are the girlz nite out 🤦🏻♀️ and even they could be improved. They didn’t release Kiana with her jewelry because they turned her into a different race because I guess there’s no place for us indigenous girls in the bratz world 😒

I come from an Afro indigenous background , and just because she’s another race doesn’t mean they aren’t showing representation…but I do understand that you would like to see a doll that is FULLY indigenous without being anything else such as black like Kiana.

1st I love ranting videos. 2nd I am pretty disappointed in these and the GNO re-releases. I wanted GNO Dana’s 3rd outfit so bad. Like why are they required to skimp on important things like outfits and jewelry? TBH I am just hoping they will re-release the overpriced/HTF dolls. I would rather have the doll with some QC issues than pray endlessly and pay hundreds for them. I literally emailed MGA and said if they rerelease SD/CF Felicia, some P4F dolls, Tennis Cloe/Jade, LIC, Treasures, etc. they would make more money than they know what to do with.
I did not know that Kiana was supposed to be black. How strange. I have that doll. She is gorgeous and she will always be Native American for me. That's why I bought her.
Anyway, I am fed up with MGA. The rush for profit is becoming exhausting. I am sick of seeing dolls full of defects on shelves.
