Adam, thanks for the video. Is there any way the multi plus 2 can be bypassed in the event of a failure? it’s a pass though inverter so if you have battery issues or MP 2 issues your dead in the water. I was thinking maybe a physical switch before and after the inverter, what do you think?

@jeffsyslo8519 Look for a UA-cam video from EG4 Electronics that shows how to update different versions. My EG4-LL (version one) is showing as a Battery Monitor under Cerbo gx, which means I could use it in place of the Victron Smartshunt. However, I am getting over voltage warnings when SOC gets close to 100% and they get cleared by themselves. I am trying to figure out what is going on. Therefore, I don't recommend updating the firmware. You also need a cable between the master battery and cerbo gx.
Will this work with the updated batteries and a Sol-Ark 15k for the inverter? I've been using a Cerbo GX with Victron Smartshunts to monitor the EG4 batteries.

I noticed another YT'er had this rack but it did not have the cable management "fingers" around the bus -bars. He had to remove the chrome handles off the batteries to make installation safe. Does SigSol offer a re-call type fix to provide cable management to prevent bus-bar issues?
How are you connecting battery to Cerbo? I have the special cable but since I have other things and the last units need to be terminated I’m not able to hook up the battery and for it to show
It’s just a communication cable and it’ll be Cat 5/6 from the batteries to the VE CAN and you should have received terminators to put in the other VE port

It appears to be working with EG4-LL V1 after victron firmware update. EG4-LL v1 has built-in current limiting resistor, 1st close circuit breaker, then turn on BMS.
was the test done using a single of the 6 batteries? I'm planning to use either quattro or multiplus, so thanks for video, but would be great to show the linking of the remaining bats and such :) allready got 4 of the new v2 bats!
All 6 were in use communicating. You only need to link the master battery to the Victron system. The master battery will then communicate downstream to the remaining batteries
It would be great if when describing the changing of the menus that the camera would show the screen of the battery so we could see and read the screen of the battery, also is this documented with screen shots some where on your server?, like under addtional area in the EG4 battery specs, Thanks

Hi Adam, thanks for the compatibility test using the Victron and your EG 4 LL batteries. I'm using a Magnum 4024 inverter and Midnite solar's Classic charge controllers. I want to upgrade my flooded lead acid L 16 batteries to yours and even got a quote from your sales department a few months back indicating that they would work with my system. Last week I went to place my order and I was told that EG 4's will in fact NOT work with my Magnum inverter. 7 years ago when I installed it, Magnum was a leader in the off grid world with tens of thousands sold. I'm really confused and ready to buy but I'm getting mixed answers from your tech staff. Any chance of testing the compatibility of Magnum inverters with your batteries?
Magnum Inverters should work fine without communication. Just set the charge settings on your inverter correctly. You can find this information on the EG4 Specification sheets and manual
You have to have the dip switches on the master battery set to all zero's or that function wont work. Then after you make the changes you can put the dip switches back.
15000 dollars to run a cloths dryer and fan. I put my wife up a 50 ft. cloths line for 100 dollars. Love the solar concept, you guys seem to be the best. But for the average family living in rural America, this is way out of our reach.
This system could easily power an off-grid homestead on its own with adequate solar generation. With 15000w with either a victron or 2x EG4 6500s, you can run a well pump, 3+ mini splits, water heater, kitchen and laundry appliances, lighting, and entertainment centers + more. In a lot of situations, it would cost you more than 15000 dollars to get an electricity line ran to your property. Going off-grid with solar makes a ton of sense for many people. Has anyone ever been successful getting someone at Signature Solar on the phone? I have literally spent hours upon hours on hold on their phone system. Just when you think they are getting close to answering, they dump the calls. Today alone, I’ve wasted over 2 hours trying to call them. They don’t call back when you leave your number either for a scheduled callback. I’ve even reached out via email with no response. Hopefully, this will get some attention.
No issues for me. The wait time varies depending on when you call. Longest I ever had to wait was 30 mins and the phone system tells me where I am in the queue. Been able to talk to tech support, sales and shipping a number of times. They even called me back on one occasion when I hung up after I managed to answer my own question.

Yes by using a manual, or automatic transfer switch.

Why 2 positive wires from EG4 racked batteries to 2 bus bars then to 2 200Amp breakes then two wires to the 2 DC input on the Inverter Charger?
Can the EG4 LifePower4 also communicate through the Cerbo GX? If so how?
I just upgraded my EG4-LL V1 firmware with Victron, and it is talking to cerbo gx. I believe there is also an update for lifepower.

I am learning myself, but it appears that the smart shunt is no longer required since cerbo gx is now talking to the batteries.
Can the Cerbo GX also communicate with the Growatt inverters?
Currently Growatt inverters and Cerbo GX are incompatible as far as comunication goes.
