the only change I'd make would be to have them both talking about Kris at first. First verse is Klavier telling Apollo that his first mentor did respect and care for him, the second verse is Apollo assuring Klavier that his brother did love and notice him. The "I love you" is when they realize neither of them are talking about Kris Gavin. Or maybe that's less of a "change" and more of another idea.
